Finn and Christine's story isn't so much about Christmas , as it is about not settling for less than what you truly deserve. Christine thought she had it all, and didn't need love to be happy, but bear shifter Finn shows her that sometimes what you need more than money and prestige is love, and friends & family who only want the best for you. Very heartwarming shifter story. If you love paranormal romance and second chances, this book is for you . 4⭐️'s . I recieved a gifted copy and I am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.

This is a quick read with a nice happy ending. You have two shifters who meet and have an attraction they try to ignore. She is getting married. While it is not everything she wanted in a relationship, she did make a commitment. As they work on the house together to get it ready for her fiance, it gets more difficult to ignore the connection. They have fun disagreements that make you smile. It is a sweet kind of romance that develops and I enjoyed the story.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

He is cranky and no nonsense when it comes to a lot of things. He is building this house and he is very thorough and proud of his work. He does a great job, he works with a great team as well. So why is this woman here roaming around like she owns the place and telling Finn what is wrong with what has been done so far? Why is she getting under his skin like this? She is the most infuriating yet gorgeous little lady he has come across. His bear seems to be pleased around her, he seems frustrated and snarly around her.....just perfect, right?! Finn just doesn't know what to make of this whole situation - and it is only going to progress in one direction.

Why does this very handsome, well built man working on her house not listen to what she is saying. She is in the middle of planning a wedding (a set up marriage by her parents - not entirely her choice) with a fiance that is too busy working and doing his own things to really pay any attention or care at all about what she is going through or what is happening in her life at all. (Just what every bride wants, isn't it?!?!) This builder hottie just throws his hands up and storms away. Well that isn't going to happen. This needs to be perfect, even though poor Christine is probably never going to see the inside of this place ever again, this is how is supposed to be and Finn will need to listen, won't he? Why is her lynx so happy around him?

Finn hears her drive up grinding the gears horribly in her rental car, and before he knows it she is in here being bossy and questioning what he and his crew are doing. Not only that but Christine has insulted him by telling him something was not done correctly. Hackles up on both of them now. Little by little the ice caps on both of them are melting. One night, they get to talking, not allowing themselves to get upset and just talk. Finn starts prying, I mean asking questions. Come to find out Christine really isn't thrilled with the arranged marriage that much, but she is settling. She isn't mistreated by the fiance per se, but verbally she is put in her place, told to be the arm candy/trophy he needs without embarrassing him (ok, not in those exact words for the most part.) Finn decides it is time to draw Christine out, and he knows she is so attracted to the mountains and forest area by this house, what a better way then to let her inner self out.

This outing turns into something much deeper than outward freedom, for both Finn and Christine. They now give in to the attractions they feel too, next things that happen are big, cancellation of weddings, angry ex-fiance coming to claim what is "rightfully his" (supposedly,) a fight for the girl, and a lot of things change at this point. Are they good changes? Do Finn and Christine get to stay together? Who has a happy ever after ending? All I can tell you is, this is a fun, thrilling, filled with laughter and quick read that you will be sorry you missed if you do not read this book.

When Finn first meets Christine, he thinks she is the most breath-taking woman he has ever seen. Even the fact she is a shifter, is entirely off-limits and is controlling doesn’t put him off. Christine on the other hand is a displeased woman; she is not happy about the progress of the dream house she has designed. What had started out as a quick visit was turning into an unexpected vacation. Christine is supposed to be getting married soon; now all her plans have been completely destroyed in a couple of hours. When the two get together for dinner, Finn asks Christine about her fiancé; he wants to know who this interesting, infuriating woman has chosen as her partner in life. Finn is surprised to hear that Christine is having an arranged marriage with a billionaire weretiger, following a foiled first love; it is clear she didn’t believe in fate. So were Finn's bear’s instincts right all along; this wasn’t just any woman, this might just be THE woman. Something about Finn keeps making Christine say and do things she otherwise wouldn’t and having been away from Cisco for 3-days she realises she doesn’t miss him at all. With Finn, there is an opportunity for something better, something that might be right for her. A marriage of convenience with a man who would never love her is not right, particularly a possessive, jealous man who will not take no for an answer. Sometimes fate didn’t work the way one wanted it to, but it has brought Christine to the man meant for her; following her heart was a better choice than following a safe future. And Finn is one lucky bear for whom Christmas has come early. This was an excellent, well-written shifter story that was engaging throughout and one which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. It is certainly a book I would have no hesitation in recommending. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

A house is not a home...

Who does this woman think she is coming in here dictating how how build this house? I'm good at my job. I would not be here if not. One look and I knew they were doing it wrong. Who changed my plans. Whose in charge here? I am said Finn I'm the Foreman. Well, these beams are wrong? Who are you? I'm the architect and the one paying you. Well you are still trespassing so he lifted her and put her out. That began a beautiful love hate relationship but at what cost? Finn commands his men equally but with a discipline that comes from what you expect from a navy seal. Christine respects that about him but she feels something else along with a strange feeling for this place but can't quite place it yet. Will it come before she marries her billionaire arrange tiger fiancee? Oh by the way, who is the owner of the Shifters Shovelers anyway we are no way closer to knowing?

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book and my opinions are honest!

This was a hot + cute read!
Finn was just minding his own business + trying to finish the house for the new owners.
Then, Christine shows up saying "this is all wrong"
Well, as you can imagine, Finn got exasperated w/ this "woman" who was criticizing his work.
Little did Finn know that he just met his mate.
What Finn to do, but to try to woo his mate.
Christine was attracted to Finn + in the end, she learned the "errors" of her way
It was a cute read

An arranged marriage, a half built house, and a fated mate all before Christmas. This is another good addition to the Shifter Grove bundle. Christine has lots of sass, Finn is an adorable grumpy bear and Cisco is a mean spirited tiger. A good late night read.

All of the characters in this book brings you nothing but fun, humor and love to your heart. I was totally glued to my ereader as the pages pass quickly by.
I always for paranormal romance I read it twice before putting my ereader away for the night. I always loved a great holiday shifter romance, I've especially enjoyed reading the Shifters of Shifter Grove. I was smiling after the first paragraph and laughing out loud by the time I finish the first page. The two main characters Finn and Christine were like Christmas extraordinaire, Christine blows into town to check upon her honeymoon cabin being build, which she as the architect designed. At the building site she meets Finn. Finn is a stubborn werebear who is ex military and the foreman on the site. But has he met his match in Christine. Yes, but Christine has a problem that she wishes her fiancé, Cisco, a weretiger was here to help her with, but he's too busy running his banks in New York. Finn is trying his best to accommodate her but she is getting under his skin and his bear is paying attention too,

This story is a amazing and I enjoyed and loved every single minute of it. What a AWESOME Holiday Read! This story will give you a feeling of happiness and a Lots Christmas Spirit. You are just a click way to follow along as these two wonderful characters find their Merry Christmas to celebrate. WOW Anya Nowlan is so creative and a awesome storyteller. I felt like I just started it and then I was reading the HEA. I love that this story has a lovely additional depth to it. A great holiday read. Happy Holidays! I highly recommend this Book. Bear's Christmas Bride

This was an absolutely riveting book. It was full of drama, fun and tension. Finn is a bear shifter leading a crew to construct a vacation home for Christine and her fiancé Cisco. Cisco doesn't feel he needs to come to the site when Christine asks him. She breaks off their engagement and cancels all the wedding arrangements. Cisco shows up and all hell breaks loose.

I received this book as an ARC for a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Finn Themps and Christine Landry. When this book opens we find Finn working as the foremen on a house that is being built. All of the guys seem to enjoy not only working together but ribbing each other for fun. This all changes when they hear a car come up to the house. The woman that steps out with change things in ways that none of them thought would happen, most of all Finn. Can he work with the woman determined to drive him out of his mind or will he get something he never knew he could have?

Christine knows everything has to be perfect in this house and it has to be done before she gets married. The problem is the house isn't going like she planned it when she designed it. So she makes the decisions to stay in the only place she can and in turn drive the foremen absolutely nuts. Little does he know she is starting to question everything she knows and going a little nuts herself. Can she make a decision though to be with the person that will be good for her heart or good on paper?

This is a great story that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. There is so much I want to tell you about this story but don't want to ruin any of the surprises for anyone. I will say that I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone though.

Walking Away Was Never An Option!!!

Finn Themps was a former Navy SEAL who wanted a simpler life. He thought he found it when he moved to Shifter Grove and started working as a foreman at Warfang Construction. That was until a beautiful a sexy woman walked into his life one day.

Christine Landry, a curvy and beautiful feline shifter and an architect who was engaged to a man she didn't love nor didn't want to marry. She found their upcoming nuptial was under some very bizarre circumstances.

When it came to her new home there was a lot to be done. She stumbled into the chaotic house which left her wondering what the heck she had getting herself into.

Christine met Finn and there was a moment of recognition right away, they were mates. The question was what were they going to do seeing as Christine was engaged to another.

Christine tried pushing Finn away but all her attempts didn't work instead she made the best choice for her and her cat. Finn and his bear were it for them and when the ex-fiancé showed up in Shifter Grove. She made sure he knew where she stood.

BEAR'S CHRISTMAS BRIDE is the 8th book in Anya Nowlan's SHIFTER GROVE BRIDES<^b> series. It was fast-paced, beautiful and humorous. Another fantastic one by Mrs. Nowlan!

Christine arrives in Shifter Grove to watch over the building of her fiance house. All hell breaks loose as it's not going exactly as she wants it. Her fiance that doesn't seem to be too bothered about her but is not happy his house isn't going as planned makes her wonder about the arranged marriage. Especially with a big, brooding Bear makes things difficult for her.

Finn is in charge of constructing of the new house and isn't enjoying having a bossy woman telling everything is wrong.  Not wanting her around and wanting her around at the same time is making things hard for him.

This pair are so much fun. Always fighting each other and getting on each others nerves. The chemistry between these two is electric. Watching Christine figure out what's best for her and Finn getting her to open up about her fiance was a little hard like it was me with these feelings.   I couldn't help but want Finn myself, the big brooding protective Bear.

Another sweet Bear shifter romance by Anya Nowlan. Finn an ex navy seal is a Bear shifter and now works as a foreman of a construction crew. That's currently working on the house designed by architect Christine who is Lynx shifter and is also about to wed a big time banker and Tiger shifter. Her Fiance has sent her to overview the progress on the house. She storms in demanding things be put right so Finn annoyed someone would dare trespass on his work site, promptly picks her up and deposits her outside saying it's not of her business. Christine won't be put off and moves into the one rooms that is practically finished. But Finn is causing her to have doubts about her wedding. I won't tell you any more as I hate when reviewers put too much and spoil it for other readers.

My last thought at the end of the book was Awww. I won't go into that too much tho. Great book that just happens to be set around Christmas. It didn't get stuck with all the cliches that climb out of the woodwork in Christmas books which I was really glad about. It does, however, have a lovely feel overall. You get quarrels and clashes of personalities, then things seem ok and then the 'oh poop' moment where they aren't. An up and down ride of a book. Another great Anya read!

Finn told the screeching women at the front of the house, she must talk to his boss if she wants to be on the construction site. She tries all over town for a place to stay, but the town is booked. So she goes back to the house. Finn asks her what she is doing?
"No rooms are available in town. Where do you suggest I stay?" He has no nice suggestions so he drops off her stuff and as he is leaving....

hears him exclaim as he walks out of sight, "boys will be here at six, just saying good night".

Over the next while they get to know each other and a few of her suggestions are not to bad. Finn never heard he talk with her fiance, though. What does this mean?

Sometimes in life, you have to decide what you want or should you settle for second best. Well that's what Architect Christine Landry wonders about her life. Should she still marry Cisco.? He's never around when she needs him, like now. Sorting out their new home to be ready in time. There she meets builder and ex navy seal Finn Themps. Oh my word... he is just something else. Attraction doesn't even come into it. Really enjoyed how Finn makes Christine relax about life, even shifting together was a pleasure to read. Like two souls mean to be. Then when Finn and Cisco meet!!!! Wow fireworks is an understatement. Another good story Anya .

I have not read any of this series but it did not matter in regards to this story. I did not feel that I was missing anything.
Not sure what I thought of Christine at first but she slowly gained some character. Going into an arranged marriage with someone who treated her the way Cisco did seemed sad to me but I could see where she was coming from.
I think when she started acting like a shifter rather than some neurotic ninny she improved.
Finn was all strong male and whilst I did like him he needed to let us know him better.
I thought the lack of real talking between them was a loss to the story.
This is my honest review of this book.

Christine is stuck in an arranged marriage that she agreed to after having her heart broken. When arriving in Shifter Grove to look over her fiance's vacation home, she meets Finn, the foreman, and instantly to fight the attraction they start butting heads. When both realize that they are fated mates, will Christine break off the marriage? Will they be able to have their happily ever after?

Another hit for Anya Nowlan in my book! Loved Finn's gruff attitude and I understood Christine's perfectionist attitude. I do love the fact that as soon as Christine realized whom Finn was to her, she immediately called and broke it off with her fiance. Can't wait for more book from Anya!

Finn Therms is one hunky construction foreman in Shifter Grove. He is a wearbear who is a little grumpy this holiday season. While working on their latest project. A beautiful world wind of an infuriating woman bustles into his project site. She is very demanding and gorgeous. Finn, will have his hands full.

Christine Landry comes upon the construction site of her lastest architectural project, which is very personal to her. She is dismayed when a huge and very handsome wearbear picks her up and takes her off the premises. He is infuriating!!!

These two get to bump heads. This is a very nice story. The only issue I had were several grammatical errors.

What a fun, cute, Christmas shifter read! Finn and Christine are a hoot. I mean, the first scene where she shows up on the job site? Priceless! In my opinion, Finn has his head on straight but Christine has issues, in her background, that she needs to work thru in order for the two of them to get their HEA. The story was much fun, sexy, sniffle-worthy, sad and funny – all rolled into one. Quick read for me but well worth the buy. I highly recommend, if you are in the mood for a holiday shifter read!
