Broken Heart
It’s always hard to start over in a new city, working at a new job. For Jess, she was dealing with a breakup that forced the move as well, a betrayal that felt like it was going to scar her heart forever.

Uncle Ryan was wonderful for letting me stay in his house with his family and giving me a job. I appreciated all of it but couldn’t help but to notice that I was an inconvenience in their lives. I helped as much as possible with the kids, the house, and the meals when I was home as well as at the bar.
Dating didn’t work out upon arrival, and I regretted trying it. Everyone said that it would be fun, but knowing that someone liked you more than you ever would them was more like punishment. That was around the time that I met Hillary; the lead singer for the house band. She was flirtatious, sexy, and beautiful and she changed my life.
Would I be able to jump into something so new to me carrying the luggage from my former relationship?
Would I be able to move past all the interest and the gossip that revolved around Hillary?
Would I be able to pick up the pieces of my broken heart?

Entertaining
I like how the emotional description of a cautious person go about to finding their way into another relationship was told in the story. Just as how the characters were build up was also fairly entertaining. However the ending was rushed into their happily ever after.

This was a super, short, easy and sexy read. I felt the story moved to fast to get a complete grasp on the characters. Needed more development for me.
