For use in schools and libraries only. Harold and George's time-traveling Purple Potty lands them in an alternate universe where everything seems delightful, but evil lurks just beneath the surface, and leads to a battle between Captain Underpants and his own evil twin.
David "Dav" Pilkey (b. March 4, 1966), is a popular children's author and artist. Pilkey is best known as the author and illustrator of the Captain Underpants book series. He lives near Seattle, Washington with his wife, Sayuri.
Okay, Captain Underpants fans - another fun one and we're back to the potty humor! I love the TRUE introduction about "those wacky grown ups" and how they "spend the first two years of their children's lives trying to make them walk and talk...and the next sixteen years trying to get them to sit down and shut up." Pilkey also reverts back to fantastic potty humor with a look at potty training and how paretns are all down with poo the first few years of life, cheering their kids on everytime they take a poo (and even celebrating and giving them candy for it). Then, once kids have it down, it's all like, don't talk about poo or potty talk. It's not polite. Huh!? (I actually had a 6 year old friend of my son's tell me I said a bad word when I used the word fart instead of toot. That's how we roll around here, I guess.) Anyway, I appreciate Dav's humor with protest signs stating "Make Poo, Not War!" on one side of the debate and "Down With Poop" on the other. This tells you nothing about the story, but you can see Dav's summary for that! While I didn't appreciate my son learning the word "anarchy" at six, or trying to put a straw in his forehead to see if it'd really dent in like Captain Blunderpants's did when he got a "cane in the brain" at the end of the book, I do LOVE that Professor Poopypants, er, I mean, Tippy Tinkletrousers, is baaa-aaaack! Another wonderful book in the Captain U series! (As Pikey askes, "Have you read yor underpants today?") Can't wait now for my son to "earn" the next books in the series, because I'm, er, I mean HE is dying to read them :)
I was very amused and entertained while reading this book. Even though it's target audience was obvious kids my age, but it also got the humor that suits both ages. I found it really amusing that Dav Pilkey would make George and Harold go to another dimension and meet their evil twins.
Book 8! Plight of the Purple Potty People! Another dimension to Harold and George's reality where everything is opposite or backwards. This means people were are mean in the real world are nice in the other world. I enjoyed the villains of this book. I LOVED Harold's grandpa and George's great grandma. Boxer Boy and Granny Girdle were very much appreciated for their willing to protect their grandsons and as extra gross out at the end of the book. What I really like is that George and Harold are such good friends that their families get together for dinner with extended family! Talk about family values!!
The ending to this book was a bummer, but that just makes me more excited for book 9. How are the boys going to handle their dilemma?
Hatırladınız mı gorge ve harold’u yeni onların olan dışı maceralarından. Zamanda yolculuk yapan gorge ve harold gerçek hayatlarının tersine gidiyorlar........Herkese tavsiye ediyorum.:ADA🌈
THE BEST CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS BOOK YET.george and herold use thier time machine but something bad happens theey teloported into a world where the teacher's are nice and no villians in sigth and mr.krupp is nice but they met mean and evil clones of themselves and that Mr.krupp ends up to be the WORST villian yet he is CAPTAIN BLUNDERPANTS.the evil george and herold stolen sulu and crackers and sulu turn into a big monster will the real captain underpants save the world and will george and his best pal will return into there normal world.
This is the last book opf the collection and is about that their are two harolds two Jorges and two Captain Underpants but the clones (boyus) are bad and captain underpants good and in the "real"world is viseversa so is very funny and confussing read it !!
This is another hilarious book in the Captain Underpants series by Dav Pilkey. Our girls really like these books and insist on reading them independently (so I don't have the excuse that I read the book with them, but I enjoyed reading it, too!) The humor is quite juvenile and the storyline is very predictable, but we all really liked it. Our girls especially like the Flip-O-Rama pages and often argue over who gets to read the book first.
It was awesome!!! So, George, Harold, Sulu and Crackers went in the purple potty time machine 2 days in a row even when in the last book Mr Melvin told them not too, or something bad would happen, and because they did that they appeared in an alternate dimension where the teachers were nice and Harold and George were mean. And instead of Captain UnderPants, there was Captain BlunderPants, a villain. When George and Harold went back to their dimension, Nice Mr Krupp, and mean Harold and George came with. Then they hypnotized Sulu and made him be big and mean. What do you think happens next? READ IT!!
My 2nd favorite Captain Underpants book. This book has great creative things like evil twins, time traveling, grandma and grandpa, and a returning villain that's destroying the city at the end while the main characters get arrested. An almost perfect book with a great storyline and the only question I had was when will Frankenfart come out???

This book is the first captain underpants book I read , I just noticed it was the 8th novel , well I found this book really interesting , that interest made me read this book for two hours straight..but this is not the interest that kept me going reading it on and on, it was the comical structure that made it more like a comic it's just the way i like it. I also like the way they write the story book just like the way it is in the TV show . What is cool is that they put real comics in between the story when the time comes, and don't get me started on the Flip-o-Rama they are the best and the main attraction of the book. You see how much I love this book? But your thinking why I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars! I rated this book 4 out of 5 stars because I didn't like the comedy level of this book. I didn't find many parts funny .before I read the book,I was really getting my hopes up just for the Humour of the book. This is my review of the book!hope y'all like it , and i hope it helps you in anyway.
This series is declining. The time travel stuff is too complex and it makes the plot messy and outlandish. Now, a lot of suspension of belief is required for these books, but Pilkey is pushing the limits in order to just make the plot make some semblance of sense. I much prefer the earlier books when the plots were simple and silly. Now the author is embedding commentary on how prisons are more funded than schools. He’s not wrong, but a 4th grade chapter book is not the place, even if he is reaching an adult audience through the parents who read his book. It’s just out of place and takes away from the book’s joy. And yet, my son still loves the books and we continue to read them…
This is about Tippy Tinkletrousers going back in time five years ago. When George and Harold were in Kindergarten. He scares bullies so much they act like they're not smart people. Spoiler Alert! And it's also about George and Harold meeting and making one Dogman comic book. Spoiler Alert!
Still pretty funny, and the plots are actually leading to one another, as this picks up with the Purple Potty Time Machine malfunction being brought to life. I feel like the end was kinda out of nowhere tho.
Another entertaining adventure from Pilkey, an author who has taken hold of my son's reading interests as strongly as Mo Willems did when he was younger (if you don't know Willems, this is a big deal). This entry really stretched some concepts for a 5 year old but it is a testament to Pilkey's greater project as a writer and educator that he completely gets away with it and inspired conversations about time travel, imaginary dimensions, and the possibility of booger monsters all in the same night. Thanks, Dav!
My son loves this series. He finds them hilarious. This is the same format as all the others, as a parent, they are very repetitive, but I love listening to my son laugh at them.
