The Covenant of Saint Catherine isn’t like other covenants. The most obvious difference is that it’s famous throughout the country for its well-trained exorcist nuns.
When Sister Joan is give her first exorcist assignment she thinks her life might finally be getting exciting. But after the experienced Sister accompanying her is injured and Joan has to do the assignment alone she wonders if she’ll be able make it out alive much less complete it.
This isn’t a normal assignment though. It just might be the best assignment Joan could ask for.
My pen name is K. M. Shea, but my readers—I prefer to call them Champions—call me Kitty.
I love to write funny, clean stories with strong characters. Books like that are among my favorite to read so naturally I love writing stories like that as well. My philosophy is that life is tough, so books should be something that makes you relax and laugh!
I really enjoyed this short story. Sister Joan is tasked with assisting with an exorcism. Unfortunately, this is a task that she must complete on her own.
When she arrives things are not as they seem. I really loved Joan's spunk. She is full of energy and life. I honestly would like more of these characters Joan and Flynn.

Other thoughts I'm throwing in: I blindly dove into this short story and kept going "Huh???" cause I wasn't sure what genre and atmosphere I should be expecting. (Title/author made me think fairy tale, nun/covenant made me think historical, and Flynn just blew all reasoning; I stopped thinking after that.) A Twisted Tale is a fantasy short I would have enjoyed as a tween.
When I opened this story and saw it was about nuns and exorcism, I was a bit alarmed. But, trusting Kitty, I confusedly went on and was soon laughing.
It's satirical in execution, (though I still think the nun/exorcism thing wasn't the best choice...I'm laughing as I write this).
Joan is a fire-cracker. She is charged with her first exorcism and ends up having to go it alone because of circumstances I will not spoil. Let's just say the demon to be exorcised is not quite what you'd expect. but is freaking hilarious.
I couldn't help but wonder if this book was a precursor to her Princess Ahira book, which is lovely. I was heartily amused and entertained through the thirty minutes it took to read this short story. I'd love to see more of Joan and Fynn.

what a confusingly random story, very odd. a demon exorcist nun with a dragon. how could things get weirder than that? the most annoying part though, was because she didn't tell us of what caused the crazy princess to be stuck with the dragon. and how come the dragon can turn into human and was a herbivore?! and the storyline wasn't even that good
I didn’t read the description before I started this book. I just assumed I would love it. I almost put it down when it started talking about exorcisms but stuck with it. I’m glad I did. It wasn’t at all what I imagined and was quite silly. It was worth the giggle.
This story is so unique and different! I loved the humor of this story and the, well, twists of this story (it's aptly named) and how the story it unfolds. Wonderful!
Another short fun read. At first, I didn't really know what was going on but it was easy to just go along with it. I just wish it was longer because it left me with some answered questions.
Probably my least favorite of K. M. Shea's works, but I did end up going back and reading through it once I realized it wasn't a real "exorcism" story, which I am really not a fan of, in my effort to read K. M. Shea to zero.
