I have been wanting to read this series for a while and I finally got a chance to do so, and so far I love how well written it was. If you enjoy reading about action, danger and passion, then HARD JUSTICE is one book you should check out. Ms. Hunt is a new-to-me author, but I will be looking out for more from her.
Charlie Sparks can hold her own against almost any man, but Ex-SEAL Vince Franklin is the only man around whom her brain short-circuits, which is not such a good thing since they are about to go undercover as a couple on the latest assignment from the agency and she'll need her wits about her for this assignment while keeping her secrets that way.
Charlie is driven to be the best at everything and as her past is revealed, it puts her present choices into context perfectly, same as Vince. For Vince, emotional decisions have proved very costly and he prefers logic these days.
Vince is not immune to Charlie either and when their cover becomes all too real, the stakes become even higher for him. Keeping Charlie safe is now more than just a job for him and he knows that Charlie's secrets would provide the key to understanding her, but will he gain her trust in time to get the information he needs to keep her safe or will he have to go around her to get what he needs? And how will his choice affect the growing bond between them?
I really enjoyed Charlie and Vince's sparring and you could almost feel the heat of the sizzle between them in every interaction they had even before they became partners and the fireworks did not let up when they were in the field.
The story started out slow for me but picked up really quick with twists and turns that left me uneasy, especially with the subject matter and Charlie's own past. Overall, this was an enjoyable read and I look forward to more in this series.

Oh how very lick-able! The cover, the story and Vince! Hard Justice was all kinds of romantic suspense goodness with a side of sexy alpha male.
The Gist: When women start disappearing in her home town Charlie is hell bent on finding them before they're lost to human trafficking. She knows the danger first hand and can't sit by and do nothing. If she has to work with her oh-so-irritating teammate Vince and infiltrate a sex club? So be it!
Oh, Vince! Yall, I loved Vince. He's all sexy alpha yumminess with a mile wide protective streak and a wicked gleam in his eye. He's a total mansicle. You just wanna lick him all over.
And Charlie. She's fierce and a bit of a badass but I did struggle with some aspects of her personality that I found hypocritical. She'd want utter trust from her team but would hide info or go off half-cocked instead of working as a team. And she had a tendency to pull the woman card and cry sexism when...it really wasn't. I liked probably 85% of her so overall not bad.
Now these two together. They definitely have the chemistry. Woo! They've been dancing around each other for a year trading barbs and insults and annoying the everlivingfuck out of one another. And now they're forced to work as a team and of course all that fiery tension needs an outlet and thank goodness they opt for the naked fun route.
The suspense kept me guessing and turned out a good bit different than I expected. There's some close calls that had me sweating as they tracked down the missing girls, too.
All in all, Alpha Security has turned into one damn fine series. Hunt is quickly making a name for herself in the romantic-suspense genre. I can't wait to see what she does next.

I've been looking for a new romantic suspense series to sink my teeth into recently, and I thought this had a lot of potential. OK, the cover said it had a lot of potential *grins*. I'd never read this author before and haven't read many reviews either, so I went into it pretty blind. I always enjoy stories with a female operative because they can be quite badass.HARD JUSTICE is the third in the Alpha Security series and I wasn't lost reading this out of order. From the beginning we can feel a spark and chemistry between team operatives Charlie and Vince. They've danced around that attraction it seems for a while and they now have an assignment together.
Vince is an ex-SEAL, member of Alpha Security and ... bartender. This whole bar business is probably something I'm missing from earlier in the series it just seemed a bit out of place for what the characters do for a living. Does he get any downtime or is his downtime to work more at the bar? I still liked his character because he wasn't just 100% alpha, there was also a good sense of humor and great banter between him and Charlie. They were very entertaining together.
The first half of this book was really strong and kept me interested, but somewhere around that mark it started missing some of that special something that made me want to keep picking this up and reading. The story wasn't bad, by any means, but along the way I lost interest in the two main characters a bit. I couldn't put my finger on what changed for me.
Charlie has a past she's hidden that's finally coming back to haunt her in this assignment and she will get to deal with those demons. Vince has issues of his own why he wants to keep a relationship with Charlie out of the cards. Some of these plots at times feel like they've been used so many times to create conflict between main characters that it gets repetitive for me. I kinda wish we would've seen something different and fresh thrown at them to keep them apart instead of those issues. In the end, it seemed kinda easy to just get over anyway. And sorry, I'm trying to be vague about what so it doesn't spoil the book.
This book falls somewhere in the middle for me. I enjoyed reading it but it didn't stand out so much than I need to rush and get the rest of the series, but I may continue it.

Mmmmmm finally Charlie and Vince's story! Book three in the Alpha Security series, Hard Justice, gives us an exciting and banter filled story. In this one we find out all about Charlie and her secretive past and how she became of of the first Alpha operatives. You can tell from the first time Vince and Charlie butted heads and pissed each other off that they were meant for each other; the sexual chemistry is combustible. Neither of them want to admit to the other that the attraction is there in fact they don't even want to admit it to themselves.
Charlie Sparks was born Charlotte Hughes, but she ran from that life as fast as she could and started over. Now her past has come back and forced Charlie's secrets out. The DHS has an inside man in the Franconi crime family they have lost contact with and several young women have disappeared from Franconi's nightclubs. They want Charlie to go in and find the evidence to pin it on Franconi and find out if their operative has been compromised. Charlie's the logical choice because she's family. Charlie has her reasons for never wanting to set foot in Miami again but the missing woman hits to close to home and as much as she hates it she agrees.
Vince Franklin is the only member of Alpha Security available to assist Charlie in this case, and it has him worried just who is Charlie and what happened all those years ago and is it safe for her to come back? To Vince his only job is to act the part of Charlie's fiancee and to watch her back but he oversteps the boundaries when he digs into her past before she's ready to tell him. The sexual chemistry finally breaks when they play the part of an engaged couple and the more Vince finds out about Charlie the more he comes to care for her and Vince finally earns Charlie's trust. Only together can they get to the bottom of the troubles brewing in Miami.
Overall, April Hunt weaves a great story that had me second guessing myself throughout the whole book.

I was very excited to start Hard Justice as the blurb sounded so action packed and exciting! And that is exactly what we got in this novel! Vince and Charlie were sexy, fiery, had hot banter for days and had light your sheets on fire chemistry. I absolutely could not get enough!
While Hard Justice is a standalone, it is the third book in the series that follow a select group of elite operatives and the security firm they work for (Alpha Security). Charlotte "Charlie" Sparx is the first female operative at Alpha Security. While constantly battling her need to prove herself amidst a bevy of men and all their testosterone, along comes Ex-SEAL commander Vince Franklin, a distraction in the form of six-and-a-half feet of cocky, confident, Alpha-trained muscle. So what happens when they are forced to team up and partner as an undercover assignment as an engaged couple? FIREWORKS, folks. Pure fireworks!
I was so hooked on this novel. I loved that Charlie and Vince had an oil and water connection at first but something kept drawing them both towards each other and getting under their skin. It was so addicting. I also loved that they both had their respective vulnerabilities and painful pasts but were able to deal with their issues and become stronger people for it. All in all this was a fantastic novel and I can't wait to catch up on the first two books in the series. Bravo 4 stars! ~Ratula

Charlie and Vince were an interesting couple. I liked that Charlie could hold her own, not only with Vince but also with the others in the Alpha Security Team.
And, this is where my review gets a little tough. As, the woman in me loves that she is strong, and capable and that she is as strong as the guys, and that she gives as good as she gets. I loved that...but, this sort of overshadows the romance.
Let me explain. I don;t need the woman to be simpering, I don;t need her to "need" rescuing, or to be nothing without the man...but I do need to believe that she does need him. Because, for me, you can be whole without the relationship...but there has to be something about that relationship that compels you to be willing to share your life with the other person. For me, this was lost a little in the story-line that was about how capable they each were.
Now, that isn't to say that the book was ruined. It wasn't. I did enjoy it overall, and I liked both Vince and Charlie as characters, and I believed them as a couple, even if I wasn't as engaged with them as I would have liked.
Overall, I do recommend this title.

When a relationship begins with antagonism, I’m typically up to my ears with glee because the 180-degree flip later is typically steamy, jaw-dropping and plain old fun to read. I’d hoped ‘Hard Justice’ was going to be that, since working undercover on a case together seemed to be just the catalyst of what was supposed to ignite the latent attraction between Vince and Charlie at least.
And to some extent, it started off that way. I fed off the hostile push-pull vibes at the beginning and really did think that Charlie stood her ground well against Vince. But as the action wore on and Charlie’s complicated past came to light, it wasn’t long before doubts started to creep in about whether this pairing was meant to be, especially when 2 very strong and very opposing personalities seem to clash and clash always without passable compromise.
At every turn, Vince and Charlie went up against each other for 1 reason or another—the former trusts careful planning while Charlie more impetuously dives straight into action—and I found this never-ending tussling (punching, yelling, shouting, insulting) between them more wearying than titillating. If it was supposed to be amping up sexual tension, all I could really see was scrappy, irascible arguing with a side dose of lust, which eclipsed the case of abducted women and human trafficking they were supposed to be working on. There was a basic lack of trust and very reactive behaviour—I wasn’t even sure if they liked each other!—on both sides so far down the line that I think I got emotional whiplash from their lashing out at each other when neither could really sit down to communicate honestly.
It was a struggle to stay interested in the story thereafter, not just because of their tussling but ever harder to believe that it had all turned to love by the end of it, which isn't’ to say it isn’t a decent read. There’s certainly action, suspense and a very Hollywood-type climax and ending (all the ingredients for RS)—and April Hunt does write quite well for that matter—which leaves me thinking that the pairing and the story just didn’t appeal to me as much as I thought it would.

Vince and Charlie give us one sexy and entertaining tale.
Charlie was seen in previous books but this one we really learn who she is and where she came from. We get the witty banter and sarcasm but also a vulnerability in her that has you want to protect her. her attraction with Vince is through the roof and so powerful the pages sizzle.
Vince is a great guy. He is trying to find his footing in a new world for him. He has always felt attraction to charlie since they met but he never acted on it. These two are so entertaining when together. They have biting sarcasm and banter but vince takes it in stride.
when they are sent to Miami things change. Now they are looking at Charlie’s past and vince has to curb his desire to lock charlie somewhere safe. He also feels that she is hiding things as the danger gets stronger and that what she is hiding can hurt them both. As they are working on trust they are also exploring their feelings. Both are afraid to let the other in. Vince lets Charlie in more and learns to see that Charlie wants his respect and support and he finds a way to balance this with his protective nature. He is also healing and learning to come to terms with his past and guilt and Charlie helps him with this.
the story is filled with danger and a subject matter that for some will be a trigger. It is heartbreaking and to learn how it is happening and why is just so heartwrenching. Vince is there for Charlie throughout as she uncovers truths and reveals betrayals. She also helps her family and learns that she was protected all those years ago and not betrayed. She does learn to open up and let Vince in. they both learn to take a chance on each other and we are rewarded with a very sensual and intimate relationship that blossoms as they get further in the investigation and the danger ratchets up.
A story about family, danger, letting go and forgiving oneself. About love and respect and letting someone in. A story of finding someone to love and learning to trust them. This is the intriguing story of Vince and Charlie-how they forgive themselves, let go of the past and fall in love.

For a fast paced action paced romantic suspense, this book will deliver. Charlie is a spitfire. She also has a huge chip on her shoulder. There are valid reasons why she is so aggressive. It is because she is the only female on this private security team, Alpha Security. And when her past is revealed, it explains so much about her. Yet it makes me wonder why the rest of her team doesn't know about her past. Because seriously, they are a private security team. Don't they want to know the details of the people working for them?
I like the concept of this series, specifically with the Alpha Security and their mission. I also like the bar they have as an undercover base. It may not be practical but it is totally up my alley. It is the characters in this series that doesn't exactly work for me. I never grew to like Charlie. She is so contrary that it's like hugging a porcupine. Yet it works for her love interest, Vince.
The two of them are opposites in many ways. I don't see the attraction because usually opposites do not last long for a long term relationship. The constant strife is too much after a few years. For a hook up and to get the sex out of their system, I can totally see the two of these together. They can burn up the sheets just with their scathing snark towards each other. It is the kind of relationship I like to eat popcorn and watch to see what happens next. At times, they are brutal to each other. Not my kind of relationship, but whatever works for them.
This story is more than just a dysfunctional relationship with hot sex and a femi-nazi. Charlie and Vince can work as a team to figure out why women are being killed. The suspense part of this book does take a bit of a back seat compared to the relationship and Charlie's background. It does help tie everything together and make for a pleasurable read. This romantic suspense is recommended for readers who like antagonistic lovers who can work well together in and out of bed.

I have really enjoyed the action in the Alpha Security series to date. April keeps us on our toes with Charlie & Vince's story. The crazy banter between them ring things to a new level.
We have watched Charlie struggle for her position on the team and the acceptance that she can look after herself. As we read on we now understand that need a little better. But what I loved the most was that she was more concerned with everyone else and willingly put herself in the list e of danger for strangers.
As much as they appear to dislike each other, Vince has a huge level of respect for Charlie and the hard work she has put into getting herself on the team. What he hasn't admitted to the others is that she might be getting under his skin. When he is partnered up with her on this job, he knows he has his hands full. Can he keep his distance and keep his mind on the job?
They are constantly put in situations they don't find comfortable, but as a team they don't back down. Disagree, he'll yes. Can they fight the attraction? If not, will it get in the way? Will there past cause them more issues?.

When Charlie has to dive into the past she tried to escape for years we get to see a whole new dimension to her character. She's bad-ass and stubborn for a good reason. Finally getting to see behind the mask she wears (that isn't really a mask because let's face it, what you see is what you get when it comes to this female operative!) took me for a journey I couldn't have prepared for. There's a longing for Vince behind the playground fighting they do. Watching her try to stay loyal to herself while falling for Vince was so much fun.
Vince knows that Charlie can take care of herself in any manner, but he can't help the protective streak he has for his teammate. She's beautiful from head to toe and even the verbal spats they have turns him on to her even more. When he has to pretend to be her fiance for a mission? OH BOY....these two...are just plain SEXY! Hard Justice is the third title in the Alpha Security series and features Charlie Sparks, and Vince Franklin. Both characters have appeared in the previous titles, and I was quite eager to read their story.
April Hunt writes a romantic suspense with strong heroines and alpha heroes. Vince is a protective, sexy alpha. Whereas Charlie is smart, sassy, strong and fierce. She also has trust issues and is incredibly private.
The chemistry between this pair is hot and undeniable. The banter between Charlie and Vince is fun and flirty. The taunts and insults they lob at each other builds up the sexual tension, but also leads to few humorous interactions.
Although the start is a bit slower paced, the story line is full of twists and turns, that kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat with elements of action, danger and intrigue.
I will be eagerly anticipating future titles in the Alpha Security series.

Hard Justice has to be favorite so far in this series. Vince was sexy as hell and so very Alpha. Charlie was just amazing, she was kick-ass. The banter between these two was hilarious and I loved that Charlie didn't take none of his crap, she could stand on her own. I loved the action and the little mystery in this story, it definitely kept me intrigued the whole time and I can't wait for the next book.

Charlie loves to torment Vince all fun and games until it backfires on her, “what? Eat?” He pulled another potato chip from the bag in his lap and deliberately chomped— loudly. “Yes, I must. I’m effing starving. You had the chance to pick the poison and didn’t. Now you have to deal with it, sweetheart.” Vince is real territorial when it comes to his woman, "Vince nearly growled. “No, she can- effing-not, Callahan, and if you don’t stop picturing it in your head, I’m going to effing neuter you.” I relly like this book.

Thoughts: There were a few different reasons why this book was on my TBR list – Sexy, eye-grabbing cover? Check. Intriguing blurb? Check. One of my favorite authors and prior knowledge with the previous books in this series? Check…and check. Add on to that these characters that have such sexual tension between them, and it’s just too good a book to pass up! And that fact didn’t change the further I got into the book. Vince and Charlie were both strong, amazing characters that I enjoyed reading about. I did struggle a bit more with Charlie in regards to her character as she had a tendency to ask more from people than she was willing to give in certain areas which made me question her reasoning more often than not. She has had a tendency to always think she was being discriminated against which was a little irritating. She did have her moments though, which kind of saved her character for me in regards to her likeability. The storyline was engaging, and had its ups and downs – some parts I found very creative and engaging, and others it fell more on the predictable scale. The characters did have a chemistry together though, that just worked for this book, and I did really enjoy that the book tackled human trafficking which is a huge problem in our world today. Kudos to the author!
All in all, a book and a series well worth being picked up by readers – particularly those who enjoy romantic suspense.

I like the premise of this book - Charlie is a woman in a man's man world. It was refreshing to see a strong, badass woman kicking a$$ and taking names.
Add in uber-alpha Vince and things will start to heat up. They have been circling each other for a while now and I just needed them to get their act together. He is also ultra-protective of Charlie, and at times I could understand her frustration, but boy, what I wouldn't give for a man who treats me like he treats her.
Charlie, now her I had some trouble with. She frustrated me no end at times. Don't get me wrong, I love her badassness and fierceness, but then some of the things she said and did just gave me the irrits and I found myself rolling my eyes at her.
But this could just be me.
Now, I am not going to lie, I did nearly give up on this book. I am not sure what it was about it, but I had to keep forcing myself to pick it up and read it, and it took me 4 days to read when I read a book this length every night. However once it got to about 65% I found myself fully involved and read the rest in one sitting and was glad I pushed through.
The drama and suspense had me guessing right until the end.
I have not read the first 2 books in this series, however this did not affect my reading of Hard Justice.
I will read this author again in the future.

Another great book that I was hooked on from page one!
This was an exciting romantic suspense story. Vince and Charlie's chemistry explodes when they go to Miami to help locate missing girls. As Charlie and Vince work together to find the girls, both have to deal with their pasts to move on and trust again. I won't give away any more of the plot, but I will say there are a lot of twists and turns, action and super sexy.
This is my second time reading this Author and I loved her style and writing in this one as much as the first I read. She wrote engaging and interesting characters. Vince and Charlie were both strong and caring, but had pasts which made them super appealing. The sexy scenes had the right amount of heat without being over the top. The story was fast-paced and there were no slow points. I loved the little surprise at the end of the book. Another exciting story and worth reading.

Lets face it who doesn't love sexual tension in books, TV and movies? I Whats better is when you add a feisty female who can physically take care of herself but emotionally is a wreak around the one man who can push her buttons and she pushes right back.
Hard Justice follows the characters of the Alpha Security series with hot sex scenes and great sexual tension that will keep romance readers hooked. Just like the other two books it can be read as a stand alone novel but will make more since if read as a series. The action is over the top which mean suspend you beliefs but if you read the other two you already know that.
The banter between Charlie and Vince is fun fast pace and will keep reader wanting more. Even after the couple figures out what they need you still are reward with a feisty Charlie who doesn't back down from a fight which she will win. When she is offered a case that is close to home she knows it will bring up bad memories of the past and of her family but she knows she is the one for the job. Vince is an ex SEAL and is the one chosen to accompany Charlie on this job. They are both stubborn and will get on each others nerves while playing the engaged couple. In truth these two were funny at times with their snarky remarks to each other. When their was sexy time is was hot, hot, hot.
This is the first book I have read in this series and I loved all the characters. I will have to look into the first two books. All of the males of Alpha Security were alpha, hot, and funny. As Vince and Charlie deal with their feelings for each other it is a dance around secrets and their pasts. These two were meant for each other.

This is the third book in this series, it could be read as a standalone but I do recommend you read the previous books first, they are amazing and the couples are in this book. Since the first book I've been waiting for Charlie and Vince's story, the chemistry between them is off the charts and literally scorches the pages!! They've never done anything about the attraction between them, Charlie is a woman in a mans world and feels she has more to prove. When they are put together for a mission, sparks fly and they create some serious heat in the bedroom! Girls are going missing in Miami, vince and Charlie act as a couple to find out who's taking them, Charlie's past comes back to haunt her, is she strong enough to continue with the case? As with previous books this is a real page turner that keeps you on the edge of your seat, there's a few twists and turns, some you don't see coming. Another great read from this author!

I have read the previous books in this series and was overjoyed to see the one and only Charlie Sparks finally get her story told!
Charlie has made her own life after wild child past which almost ended in tragedy. She is asked to take the lead in an investigation die to her connection to the man under investigation. It finally comes to light that she has links to the Miami underworld, which she will once again subject herself to, all in the name of stopping a human trafficking ring.
Vince may be alpha to the core, but he can see Charlie for the kickass operative that she is, and her computer skills are scarily good. But once he sees her treading the shark infested waters of her family once more, all he wants to do is protect her, knowing full well she can and WILL kick his ass!
But the sparks between these two cant be denied and when they come together there will be fireworks!
Charlie is prickly and a hard character to love for some but I got over the frosty, take no prisoners attitude as her past came to the fore and you realise why she has defences up the wazoo when it comes to her heart. With a truly horrible family life she did well to get out when she did.
I loved figuring out who the "bad guy" was and as usual I got it wrong! But I loved the outfits Charlie and Vince had to wear during their little outings in Miami! I can't wait to read more!

I would want her in my corner if I ever needed someone with her talents. Vincent “Vince” Franklin loves to yank the chain of a certain little lady. He had me laughing too. But you don’t have to be an alpha in order to take someone down.
I got so lost in this story that I lost track of time. Which isn’t a good thing when you have to get back to work. If you love those types of book where you get so lost in what the author has written that you forget everything else than you have that here – in spades. Yes, you will have plenty of action and suspense to carry you through. But for me it was the interaction between Vince and Charlie. I wanted to see what else this author could come up with when it came to these two characters.
If you’ve never experienced this author before this is a great place to start. Even though this is the third in her Alpha Security series you don’t need to have read the first to books in order to enjoy this one. It is, however, a good incentive to go back and read the first two. And when you make it all the way to the end, which I loved by the way, she gives the reader a little incentive to at least read Heated Pursuit.

4.5 Hearts I really really enjoyed this book. No it’s not perfect. There is a LOT that happens. I mean seriously what doesn’t happen in this book? I am not sure how the author will come up with more adventure for the next book.
Vince is all alpha and Charlie feels she needs to prove she deserves to be on the Alpha Team. But they have a connection from the start of the book. You just know it is going to be hot. But what I wasn’t expecting was the bit of fun and the emotional roller coaster and both were a lot of fun to read.
Charlie is a complex character. She has had so much happen in her life. And little by little she is finding out all the things that she didn’t really want to know even though she thought she did. Charlie is the type of woman I would want as my best friend. She is compassionate and yet can kick your butt or anyone that bothers you. Vince isn’t really that complicated. He has seen war and lost “brothers” on the battlefield and he is haunted by that. It isn’t a new angle but it is very well written.
I can’t imagine anyone who enjoys the genre not enjoying this book. Highly recommend!

This would be my first title that I read by April Hunt. And going by what I read from Hard Justice that was a lack on my part. Hard Justice the third title in the “An Alpha Security Novel” was great. The synopsis didn’t really do this book justice to the way this book was written.
Hard Justice has a place for all readers to enjoy; sexy characters, a strong will woman capable of taking care of herself, but a strong alpha male standing by her side…. just in case. We can’t forget the action & adventure with a load of romantic suspense thrown in for good measure.
Not knowing how Alpha Security come about was the only think troublesome. But again, that was my error and not the Authors. This book read like a stand-alone, but I had to order the others in the series because this story was too good just to read only this one.

I’ve been wanting Charlie’s book since the start. I’m so happy to finally have it. This is a great read.
The chemistry between Charlie and Vince is combustible.
Charlie is the first, and only, woman Alpha agent. She can hold her own with any man. She’s also a hacking genius.
But her past is slapping her in the face with the case that she has the lead on.
I love how her and Vince have to pretend to be engaged.
This book has romance, steamy scenes, violence, mystery, suspense, and a smart-ass brit!
The only thing missing, for me, was the “talk” Stone said they were going to have. I wish we would have seen that happen.
This is definitely a series I will continue to read.
I give this a 4.5

How awesome was this book?
I was pleasantly surprised with this discovery, and imagine my happy shock to find out it's the third of a series?! One, I'm a huge fan of series. And two, I love these alpha hero type books. The plus about this one was the heroine was just as tough.
I really enjoyed the romance and angst throughout, and the suspense was wonderfully built. This book definitely has it all: sexy, romance, mystery, and humor.
The author did a phenomenal job at world building, and this book was written so anyone can pick it up and read it as a stand alone.
That won't stop me from picking up books 1 & 2, though, and adding April to my favorite authors list! Five stars for a bloody well done job!

Action packed, roller coaster ride of emotions, the chemistry between Vince and Charlie, particularly flowed off the pages and the twists and turns were abound, which kept me turning pages. The hot, witty banter between Charlie and Vince, definitely helped carry “Hard Justice” to an amazing finale. Can’t wait to go back and read the other two books in this intriguing series.

Hard Justice was a fabulous continuation of the Alpha Security Series! If you adored the previous books, this is a definite must read. In the last book, Holding Fire, you could feel the tension between Vince aka Navy and Charlie aka London. And in this book, diving into Charlie’s past, my mind was blown. Mix that with a fake engagement between Charlie and Vince and well I was screaming! Their banter was fabulous, the steam was perfect, and the story kept me guessing! I have come to love all of these characters and absolutely loved listening to another book in this series. This book even made me cry. If you love romantic suspense, forced proximity, men in uniform or characters that feel like home, definitely add this series to your tbr!
