In 2010, still bound by the restraints of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, Air Force pilot Aaron Chambers must continue to hide his ever-evolving, ever-sizzling love for Dr. John Castle. After surviving a near fatal shooting, Aaron and John are in no mood to bow to DADT idiocy. So, when the annual Christmas Ball at Tyndall Air Force Base arrives, the two men find a way to spend the evening together. However, an unknown threat lurks in the background… one that vows to make his move before the night is through.
I loved this quick Christmas romance. Aaron, an Air Forc pilot, and John, a doctor, are lovers and best friends during DADT. It makes things very difficult for them, when all they want is to be together out in the open. My only complaints are the cover looks more like two college nerds than a pilot and a doctor. Also, an epilogue would have been nice, since DADT was repealed in September 2011, less than a year after the time of the book, it would've been nice to hear about their HEA. I voluntarily reviewed a free copy.
