Irish Crime: True Crime Stories

Rate this book
Ireland is a land of poetry, art and culture, with roots spanning far beyond its shores. But bubbling under the surface, its history is filled with evil secrets and violent crime. From historic tales of serial murder to present day criminal psychopaths, Ireland has more than it's fair share of true crime stories.

Disappointed

First this book is.ment to be about crime in Ireland. I don't know how the writer got nixed up with another country. He tells about a one off crime that happened in northern Ireland that has nothing to do with Irish crime. He has a story about the Shabkill Butchers. I feel it just dropped the value of the book to a zerro. Yoh can't pick out one story of a separate country that was in tormol for over 35 years. So so silly

Irish Crimes

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book even though I have heard of all of the cases before. Maybe the fact that I'm from Belfast helped. If you enjoy reading about local issues you'll definitely want to give this a go as it focuses on crimes from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Very enlightening

Not the most in depth book, but was some stories here I hadn't read anywhere else, would liked more detail, but all the whole was in insightful book, dispelling the myths of Ireland as peaceful, majestic greenery, nature awe inspiring country, of course it is all these things, but delve further, and it's known more than its fair share of blood.
