OK, now this story was sad and good also. I kept reading and keep thinking in my head Keya is such a fool, why won't she leave Locke. Locke is a sadist psychopath and needed to be put down. He was so abusive to Keya and it hard it hard to read at times. Cause all it seemed he wanted to do was breed her, beat her, and abuse her. Now when Joshu aka Sabotage came in I kinda started to like him just a lil bit but him was just as manipulating as Locke, he didn't deserve Keya either.
I enjoyed reading this book because it brought up ugly subjects about domestic abuse and sexual abuse. It was a good read.

This book had me on an emotional rollercoaster. The relationship between Don't at aka Locked and Keys was veryyyy toxic. This story was probably one of the hardest domestic violence books I've read yet. I kept putting it down and picking it back up due to the horrible things that Locke put Keya through. Locke was a total asshole and had issues. The ending made me so mad but I still loved the book lol. I know I'm gonna be in for a ride when I check out Part 2 of Locke and Keya's story. I recommend this book if you can read it without being triggered due to it being about domestic violence.

Whew!
Locke is truly insane....I read this story in about an hour, I just couldn't put it down. While it was sad at times, Keya is playing with fire! I honestly thinks she needs her mental status checked. Storyline with never a dull moment, I see right now I'm going to have to start on part 2!

Oh my God. This book was good!! I dont know how the author came up with that character Locke but baby that man is in a class of his own. Talking about crazy, ummm no deranged!!. Keya was a sweet, smart, and beautiful girl but she let sex cloud her judgment, and then to top off by sleeping with his friend?!!.. This book was a trip!! I will forever read her work now.

This book was not something that I would normally read but it was so good. Man Keya had me all in my feelings. At times I felt bad for her now I think she need help and all I can say about Locke is he needs to get got. I am ready for part 2

Great book. If you have ever been in an abusive relationship it may have you in your feelings but its worth pressing on. Excellent read.

Stay or Leave!!
I liked this book. The main male character treated his girl like she was just a piece of meat for his own pleasure. The main female character made me so mad. She had everything going for herself. She was smart, pretty and educated. She was getting abused by her bf but stayed with him. She had plans to leave but changed her mind. I'm just trying to comprehend what she was thinking. I am about to go read part two to see if she starts making better decisions. Its definitely a book I would recommend.

Smh
I just don't know what to say about this couple. Keya had me losing respect for her with some of the things she allowed to go on or happened to her. The whole relationship seemed unhealthy. Sabatoge, he was mostly my favorite character. I sort wanted everything to go in his favor. Good book.

Wow!
I like Keya but Locke was doing a number on her. I wouldn't wish what she went through on my worst enemy, no matter how much I dislike them. I just want to shoot Locke right between the eyes. All in all you did a great job writing this banger, keep up the great work!!

Crazy!
This story was crazy! On one hand I felt bad for Keya and on the other hand it was like she was encouraging Locke behavior. I can't call her stupid because who knows what you would do in the same situation but dang! I'm anxious to see what happens in part 2!!

Lawd have mercy!!!
I loved it!!! Because their are so many people... women AND men going through this!! Yes I said men!! They are just ashamed to admit it!! But my friend went through this same MESS!! It took her fourteen years to realize her worth and she was able to get out ALIVE thank gawd!!! Thank you for writing this and I WILL recommend this read to people I know!!!

This was by far a hard book to read only because of what she was going through with the abuse! Oh I can't wait to see what happens in part 2!!!!! First time reading by this author but I was not disappointed at all!!! I am a true fan

OMG!!! Where do I begin...this book...Author Ashantay Keys did an excellent job crafting a captivating story of malicious abuse. It has a simple storyline of an educated Psychologist falls for a fine Street Hustler/Doughboy. But this story is far from simple; I couldn't put it down & now waiting on book 2. This is a quick read that is action packed, dramatic, a warped perception of love and plenty of hot steamy sex. We all know or encountered or heard of people/couples like Locke and Keya and can relate how someone so smart can get caught up and yet be so dumb. Great Book! Waiting for book 2!!

What can I say..
First of I had to take breaks from reading this book. The things that went on I just couldn't take. Let me just say I don't feel sorry for keys at all, once u read the book u will find out why. This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last. She is really good!! I mean she will have every emotions coming out of you.

The message that I took this story is : Entering the relationship i knew it wasn't right, but something about you had hold on me. I was in love with you but hate the way you treat me. To be honest I really don't need you i am young and I have great career, but something about you I love and at same time hate. Got tired of way you was treating so i got involved with one of your homie once we started messing around he got hooked to me, decided he wants to black mail because i wanna end it. So now I torn between two because I loving what you both do to me. I want tell you truth but I am scared of what you do. So here I am now in career where I am supposed to help people with there problem, but can't even solve my own, because something about you I love and hate at the same time. So glad you finally have serve time, because now it's time for me leave. Everything is sold and I really ready to go, but finally get out and make your way back towards me. Once I saw you I couldn't even leave, because something about you made me stay. I enjoyed this currently reading part 2. Plan on reading more of your work.

This is one of the few books that I've read non stop, which for me means it really kept my attention. I needed to see how Keya was going to handle her situation and would her knight and shining armor show up. Will she find her strength? Those answers, well you'll have to read to find out. The character Locke is a selfish insecure f*** boy whose father should have whipped his a** as a child. He's disrespectful and his friend is no better than he is. Keya relationship is a struggle other woman go through, the mind knows the decision they should make, but the heart drums to a different beat. The book had me pissed pretty much the whole time, but I had to see how it played it. I wouldn't say Keya was dumb but some decisions she made she should have known better, like Joshu. He was no better than his buddy. Mental, physical and verbal abuse are a deadly cocktail, so the ending made sense. The story is written very well and I like how the author displayed issue that woman go through and how they deal with it.

I have read this author several times before and love her. She is a powerful writer who writes strong and difficult topics. I hated Locke. I thought I was going to like Joshu; however, he turned out to be just as bad. Domestic violence is something that unfortunately goes on every day. In this story, readers are probably wondering, "why doesn't she just leave his sorry ass?" The abuser most of the time can get into your head, MANIPULATION. They can control your thoughts if you are vulnerable. Most victims that are vulnerable were probably victims of child abuse or some sort of abuse in the past. Victims also fear them, scared that something bad will happen if they leave. They can also have it planted firmly in their mind that they can save the abuser - "change them." This just all leads to a disaster. Nobody wins. This was a great book and looking forward to reading book 2. Well done.

Craziness times TEN!
I hated the truth in this book. The author vividly displayed how toxic some relationships can be. From experience, a lot of what I read was hard to move past. I tussled with finishing the book, or just quitting all together. Keya pissed me off and Locke was a lunatic. My skin crawled in certain scenes and I hated how Keya didn't have a backbone. I hope she tightens up in part 2, however I do understand why she's the way she is. Over-all, this was a pretty good book ❤

That fool would have met his maker.... What she went through was crazy.... Locke was so bi-polar it wasn't funny. I thought she was saved by sabotage but he proved to be a fuck nigga too. I got happy that she reconnected with her sisters and their story was sad but glad they were able to somewhat over come.
Great story but Keya had to be stuck on stupid really was hoping that she went to Canada with them. He couldn't follow her. Cant wait to read part 2. Great job

Ms.Ashantays story took me back to ASHANTI, song and video, FOOLISH! (Especially the ending)By the time I was about 46 percent into reading it I started to get a little hot and bothered, considering dude was a complete animal, the things they were doing were still pretty spicy. It was discrptive, well written and I couldn't believe her ending decision, gotta get book 2!

An author/promoter friend of mine told me about this book and author and wow! Just wow! She wasn't lying. The book was, well it has left me speechless, and I can't wait for book 2. And the author is definitely talented like my friend said. What a great storyteller. Love how the story flowed and how well she wrote about a very difficult topic.
