Difficult to read just because of the content. But I couldn't put it down and read it in 5 hours! Knowing the author personally, I found it inspiring how he came through this difficult childhood.

A disturbing true story that is difficult to read. Nonetheless, Quinn's story of abuse and survival is one that needs to be told.

I've met Quinn in person and he is inspiring.

This was a very well written book about a boy who was abused by his own parents. For the first 6 years of his life, he was physically and verbally abused by his parents. The author goes into great detail of his life as the child. After his parents separated when he was 6, he lived in 8 foster homes. He finally reconnected with his brothers, where they lived as laborers to their foster parents. It was difficult to read at times. However, reading this book has helped me realize what I will be able to do to help my students if they are in a similar situation.
