Tercules

There are many “voices” in the world telling us that we’re “too much” of this or “too much” of that. Sometimes the voices say that we’re “not enough” of this or “not enough” of that. If we believe these messages, we miss out on living out the wonder and beauty of being exactly who we were made to be.

We miss out on being “Just right.”

Thus begins the story of a wild turkey chick who is abnormally strong…Herculean strong. In the midst of ridicule, Tercules must find the beauty of his uniqueness and discover that he can be different and complete. His strength comes to great use, revealing the treasure of his difference, and proving to all that he is an integral member of his flock family.

Tercules helps children navigate their own journey of understanding their strengths and perceived weaknesses, guiding them to find their perfect place in the world and in their families. This story also introduces young children to adjectives and alliteration using fun repetition.

Such a wonderful story!

This book is great for my kids. Teaches them that God made everything just the way he wanted them to be. Highly recommend this book.

I started laughing when I first read the title of this book! 'Terculese' is a brilliant title for a kids book. I suppose not every child will get the contraction of turkey and Hercules, but that's almost part of the fun. One day it will dawn on them - perhaps when they're much older - and they will suddenly start laughing, like me. If they're also like me they'll keep chuckling through the day and saying 'Terculese' to themselves. They might also say. 'Too wild', or 'Too strong' before saying 'Just right!' It's amazing how the repeated catchphrases in this book stick in the mind and popout when you least expect them. I think the message to kids that its okay to be a little different slips into the consciousness without being heavy-handed or overt. A great, positive book for children of all ages that leaves you feeling happy and a little bit better about yourself. Don't be surprised if you find yourself repeating the catchphrases with other family members. 'Too strong?' 'Just right!'

As a mom of a 4-year-old, I absolutely love "Tercules"! The title is clever and funny, and the story is perfect for teaching my child that being different is a strength. The catchy phrases like "Too wild?" "Just right!" are so memorable and fun to repeat. It's a short, uplifting read that leaves us both feeling happy and positive. I highly recommend it for young kids!

"Tercules" has amazing illustrations and a joyous ending, making it a wonderful children's picture book that kids will want to read over and over! Kids everywhere can connect with being told they're too loud, too rough or something similar, but knowing they are just right can affect them for their entire lives. They'll learn that from the start, with the help of this book.

Turcules is the perfect story for anyone feeling like he doesn't fit in the group. Each of us has unique abilities which make us special. Turcules discovers unique is a positive thing in this story of family and love.

Tercules bursts into the world from his egg. He so strong he frightens the other turkey chicks but his strength saves the day in this adorable story. Megan Frank's illustrations are incredibly skilled and dynamic and add to the story in a wonderful way.
