My Goal: To have fun writing fun books to read.

My Writing Style: Not much pretty prose or flowery fluffiness, pretty much non-stop action and fun.

My Dream: To be able to write full time.

Reading Order: The chronological order is Jade, Jane, & Jill followed by the Norma Jean’s School of Witchery series, Jewel and Ghost School. Jill bridges the gap between the Three J’Amigos and Norma Jean’s School of Witchery. The way I have written these books you can however, start with Jewel & Ghost School and then read the Three J’amigos series to get the back story on Jewel’s adoptive parents, Jade & Jane as well as her Godmother, Jill.

Urban Fantasy/YA featuring strong heroines, non-stop action, over-the-top humor and FUN ♥

Kinda thought Jane was the best of the three, but liked this one well enough. The first book Jade was via her POV, and Jane had her POV book. This one jumps around all 3. Would love to have those wedding rings, heh. Anyway. She said at the end that it was a bridge to Norma Jean's School of Witchery: Book One: Jewel

Sometimes, it's nice to read just to be entertained.

Sure, there's something to be said for reading that book that changes your life, the story that is so lively and flows so easily that the words utterly transform your existence and inspire you in a way nothing else can. But ultimately, don't we read to escape? To be entertained? First and foremost, stories should be fun, and Rose Montague's Three J'amigos trilogy has fit that bit.

Jill, the third and final installment, is no different. Pages will fly by because you will find yourself having such a good time. Jade and Jane are back, as is Jill, and the rescue mission that sometimes reads like a supernatural high-speed chase -- with a sort of nod to Fight Club or Thunderdome thrown in near the end -- is such a fun romp.

So much fun, in fact, that you just might wish the story was longer. But Montague doesn't waste time with flowery prose or lengthy exposition; she knows you're here for kickass supernatural ladies, violence, and occasional humor, so she gives us that in spades. There are no hidden meanings here, no grand themes to consider; this is just a fun story for the sake of being a fun story.

And that's okay!

The author once mentioned that she didn't feel like a writer -- that she was more of a storyteller. It's an interesting philosophical distinction, but I won't bore you with the particulars; instead, I'll tell you that Jill is every bit as fun as Jade and Jane, and you would do well to check out all three entries in the trilogy.

Who knows? It might be fun.

The third of the Three J’Amigos was every bit as awesome as the other two. Jill is the fae Winter Queen and someone has attempted a coup. She is thrust into the Underneath where magic can’t be used—or can it? Because of the magic stored in her rings she has a limited supply but will it be enough when danger lurks around every corner of the realm? Fortunately, her two friends are hot on her trail in an attempt to help. Jade stays in the faery realm determined to put a halt to the take over while Jane and a newly turned vampire try to follow behind Jill to lend a hand. There are many new and vicious adversaries along the way.
I loved the pacing of the entire trilogy. It never felt rushed or bogged down even when new realms are explored. Great storytelling along with fantastic characters make this entire trilogy highly recommended!

A nice end to a trilogy!
The three J'Amigos are back with non-stop action from page one. These females are not only badass, but totally confident and eager to help each other fight the forces of evil. We follow our heroines as they traverse new worlds, encounter new dangers, and basically get splattered with gore on multiple occasions. A perfect ending, and a perfect intro to the Norma Jean's School of Witchery series.

When you have been driving to a beautiful destination, that last part seemed to fly by like it was a brief ending to an extraordinary trip. It makes me think about the journey, instead of this leg of the trip.
Not saying I did not like Jill but I wanted more. This comes back to looking at the three rather than the one. This is one complete story, what started in Jade then move to Jane and finishes in Jill. Miss Montague has created a rich and marvellous story split into three parts. I can't fault it, but I wanted more. More story, more details.
Again I have to look at all of the Three J'amigos, and I cannot give it less than five stars.
Caryn Kuhlman again did a marvellous and brilliant job bring Rose's characters and personalities to life, and it made it even more special. I could spend another ten hours in the world of Rose Montague's
If you want to read the book or listen to the audiobook (which I would highly recommend), I would suggest to do it in one seating. The experience will be amazing! Thank you for this incredible series, Miss Montague.

OMG it's the end of this series and i'm so sad. I loved reading about these 3 so much. This book was mostly about Jill but of course Jane and Jade are never to far behind. Jill was kidnapped and taken through a portal to another world. Jade and Jane must find a way to save her. I do say I'm very sad Joe wasn't in this one. Thankfully in the authors other series Norma Jean's school of witchery Joe is in it. But enough about him. Back to these 3 fantastic chicks. I loved everything about these 3. I mean seriously when do you ever read a paranormal book that the main characters are females, and 1 is parts Fae, Shifter, Vampire and witch and was formally death all in one. I can't recommend this series any harder!!!! This has Definitely been one of my favorites to read this year. Grab all 3 books at the same time, it saves you time, Because you will wanna jump into the next book as soon as your done reading.

Jill, The Winter Queen of Fairy has been kidnapped. Jade and Jayne know they are the only ones who can figure out where she is and save her before Fairy falls into complete chaos. But where to look is the question. On their new adventure, they face an unknown world where it will take all their wits to figure out the one and only escape. For in this place, magic doesn't work. Lots of adventure awaits between these pages as Jade, Jayne and Jill fight together with no holds barred.
Wonderful final book for this fun trilogy.

Fantastic, quick read that kept me on the edge of my seat through the entire book. The author is a great storyteller and with each book she has become better in the weaving of her stories! The entire series is a brilliant story, with fun and likable characters and a must read if you love the YA fantasy genre. Well done, once again Montague!

The action continues in Jill, the third book in Ms. Montague's Three J'amigos series! It's a thrill ride through faerie land, other dimensions, and our own world.

The queen of the Winterland gets a chance to fall in love, despite being separated from her two best friends.

These books are all your favorite action movies, sci-fi/fantasy thrillers, and sweet romances, all rolled up together.

I can't wait to add the paperback to my shelf, because this cover is absolutely gorgeous, and then I want to go back and read them in order with the Norma Jean school of Witchery books! These books are so much fun!

This was the final book in the trilogy, and it did not disappoint. This time, rather than one point of view, we jump between Jade, Jane and Jill. Usually I am not a fan of perspective switches like this, but here it worked. I think because we already know the characters from the previous books we don't need to spend as much time on development, so the switches aren't so jarring. I really liked the jumping between realms, and the world building involved in creating the new worlds. This one almost had a sci fi twist in places, and I hope to see some of the worlds developed further in future books.

It felt a bit rushed in places, and I think I would have liked a bit more description, or maybe conversation to break through the non-stop action, but this is a personal preference and not a criticism of the style. My only real criticism is that there were more typos in this one that the others, and in places they were quite distracting, but it didn't detract too much from my enjoyment of the book, and it was a good way to wrap up the series.

I’m not sure why but I never got around to reading this book. I finished the last one Jane in 2015 and as this book hadn’t been released I think I just forgot about it.
All three of the books could be described as ‘fun’ fantasy but you really have to suspend your disbelief to enjoy this one. I thought the first two books got the balance right, they were fun without being ridiculous, but this one was getting close to being just silly. I think the author decided that as this was the last book in the series she might as well use every idea she could think of and just throw them all in at random. Also it didn’t help that the story kept switching POV and I could have really done without Romeo.
Overall the book was still a fun read but not as well put together as the previous book.

A new twist to a wonderful series.

I really enjoyed the first two books and number three doesn't disappoint. Where the others focused mostly from a single POV, book three switches between all three of the J'amigos.
I also enjoyed the switch from fantasy to a sci-fi interlude, although the ending seemed a little rushed. All in all a great series and this third offering is easily a solid 4.5.

Jill, Book 3 in the Three J’amigos book series by Rose Montague – Now... anyone who has read any of my reviews of Montague's first two installments of this series or her Norma Jean’s School of Witchery know I adore these books and characters as well as Montague’s writing style. I did enjoy Jill, but why, you might ask, did I only give it three stars. I will get to that momentarily.

But first, the story: Jade and Jane are finally going to get some real time together after seeing an end to the devil himself and clearing their names, all of which could not have been possible without their third J’amigos Jill, who by the way is the Winter Queen of Faerie. We join the story with Jane waiting for Jade to return from Faerie. Being bonded by blood and vampire marriage Jane knows something is wrong and while a vampire cannot cross the veils into Faerie somehow she is transported by both love and her magical wedding ring to Faerie where she finds that Jade and the Queen’s Blade have been chasing Jill and her abductors trying to get her back. What they find is that Jill has been exiled to a place from which there is no escape, a place full of dark creatures as well as the dangerous people who control this realm. Jane is forced to turn a dying ally, who is also a faerie, into a vampire to save his life so that he can help save Jill, but her creation is dangerous and powerful more so than even herself. This newly created vampire aspect of the story was not explored as much as it seemed like the story was leading up to. Jade and Jane at this point have to split up, with Jane and the Queen’s Blade going to the place with no escape. Jade on the other hand is tasked with going after the man had Jill abducted and who is trying to take over the Winter Court. She is additionally tasked with looking for a possible way back from the hell that holds Jill, Jane, and the Queens Blade captive. The world Jill is exiled to has no magic and any magic that is had by a person even the Winter Queen of Faerie is consumed and not replenished. She runs for her life and is finally met by Jane and the Queen’s Blade. Danger hides behind every corner in this world, but the three of them work tirelessly together to stay safe.

Jade and Jane can communicate thanks to their magical wedding rings, but the dynamic of them together was lost in this book. Together they were fun, sexy, dangerous, and action pact and this was one of the things that was lost for me with them being apart almost the entire book. Jill, of course, was a fun part of that Dynamic in books one and two, but not to the same extent that Jade and Jane’s characters were. This could have been overlooked if the story had been more developed. While I loved the switching of perspective from one character to another it left a lot unsaid and the story felt clipped. What I mean is that if felt like the first 50% to 60% of the book was going at a great pace and developing nicely and then it just ends all neatly tied up and happy but all too quickly, not enough build and less than what I have come to expect from Montague. That said, I still admire her writing style and strong female characters kicking butt and taking names, but the ending felt abrupt and less focused. I hated to give the book 3 stars but I was disappointed. I still liked it just not as much as her other stories. I am eagerly awaiting the third book in the Norma Jean’s School of Witchery series, which shows I am still on the Rose Montague train.

Sadly I haven't finished this book, I really enjoyed books jade and Jane but sadly this one I couldn't get into, which I've put down to the continuous changing of characters povs. I got into it then it flip and I got bored and by time got back to POV I enjoyed i didn't enjoy it as much.

But I'm looking forward to the next school of witchery book.
