Roar is one of the rare Phoenix tribe hunted to near extinction thousands of years ago. They have just started to emerge from isolation and he finds a female that makes him burn. What can he do? Treva has been imprisoned in the labs all her life. She likes Phoenix, a lot. What can she do about it? Two awkward people with strong feelings. Will they figure it out amid all the danger surrounding them? Mature readers only because of graphic sexual descriptions and adult language.
Treva has been imprisoned in a lab all her life, doesn't even know who her family is, or what she is. Then this handsome man comes to her rescue and she finds out she is half phoenix. She only knows one thing for sure that she has strong feelings for this man/phoenix who is taking her back home.
Roar never imagined that going on this mission to rescue this girl, would bring him eye to eye with his fated one....Will Roar suffer the inevitable if he is rejected by Treva? Will this rare Phoenix go up in flames to never be seen? Or will Treva learn what it feels like to meet your one and only?
Roar is from the Phoenix Tribe one of the few that survived the brutal war that nearly drove his race to extinction. Treva had been raised in the labs and had no idea who or what she was other than her name. All Roar had been told when he “volunteered” for the mission to rescue her from her guard and bring her safely back. Sounds easy right?
This book is the first in a new series spun-off from Catty Diva’s Mating Games and Moon Hunter Inc books. In the Mating Games we were introduced to sexy guys Razar, Glendar and Maxar amongst other Mazalan Warriors looking for human mates to help settle on Planet Oison and take part in the Mating Games to Chase and Win a female mate. In Moon Hunters we meet Justice, Cyn, Terick and others sent to find criminals set on destroying the Earth/Mazalan treaty. And oh yeah what about these evil labs and these females that keep being freed?
Roar is the first story that tells about the Phoenix tribe and its war to save itself from extinction. Of course there are those luscious female characters and the downright hunky males to swoon over too. It’s a light read short story, that you don’t necessarily need to have read the other series to understand, but it does help. So find a place to sit, read and enjoy a romantic tale.
My only complaint is these books are too short, you just get started when they are winding down. But they are good for short read.
I really enjoy paranormal romances. This was an interesting read about a woman who knows nothing of life when she is rescued. The Phoenix who rescues her develops strong feelings for her but he doesn't understand exactly what they mean much less how to be in a relationship with her. It leads to complications and a lot of confusion for them both.
I enjoyed the story. It is a quick read for me and included good characters and a storyline that kept my interest. There are interesting surprises too that keep it suspenseful..
Roar is a Phoenix, a race of people that are few and not well known. His mission is to retrieve a girl who was kidnapped from the lab they just raided. Treva was told she was special and the lab people had something in mind for her. She escapes and when Roar finds her they get closer. Things keep getting chaotic because they badly want her back. Love soon is in the air. This series follows the same storyline as the moon hunters but with a different race. I loved it!
Short story where the rescued Treva quickly falls for her rescuer, Roar. The shift from naive lab prisoner to lover and mate happens without a believable transition. The underlying story is interesting. Character development is good but I never felt invested in the characters.
I liked the plot line of this book but found the writing very disjointed. The worst part for me was when Roar surprised Treva at the diner there was no sense of shock or surprise in the writing.
This book is a spin-off from Moon Hunter series. Roar's race has hunted almost to extinction and is one of the many hidden ones in contact with the Mazlans.
Roar has been helping free captives from the labs created in space. On one such mission he comes in contact with the one woman who triggers his senses. Boy, talk about clueless and awkward. Teva has just escaped captivity and is finally learning about freedom and choices. On her new home she keeps getting glimpse of a man she thinks is trying to capture her and she goes on the run.
Misunderstandings and two people that know nothing about relationships will have to figure it out before she is captured again. There are secrets about her past that she even she know nothing about them.
I received an ARC at no cost from the author and reviewed the book voluntarily.
A lab raised woman, who is stolen before she can be saved. One of the rare phoenix male warriors will do all that he can to save her. Treva had known nothing in life except needles and experiments. She was always told she was special. What's so special about her? And why was she stolen from the lab?
Roar needs to find Treva quick. The family who awaits for her return are Mazlans. But when he catches wind of her. He senses something different about her and is having dreams about her. What does it all mean?
Roar is a Phoenix and has been assigned the task of finding Treva. Treva has been held in the lab as long as she can remember. Forman has kidnapped her and she escapes. This book was an excellent read. Loved the ending.
