I live my life in darkness. I hunt and kill the worst scum in the world, and I never let people get close to me. I can’t risk destroying them. All I know how to do is kill.
Until I meet her, Amelia Jones.
She’s gorgeous with an innocent look that makes my blood boil, but I can’t let her slow me down. The scars on her skin hint at something darker behind those soft green eyes, something as broken as me. I want to trace every last scar with the tips of my fingers.
I killed her abusive father right in front of her. I don’t leave witnesses, but I had to make an exception. Just this once.
I may have spared her life, but I can’t risk giving her the freedom she craves. I’ll lock her up until she begs me to keep her forever.
Once she’s down on her knees, only then I’ll give her what she wants.
A new dark read with strange twisted from B.B. Hamel! This is a twisted & dark story so if you are not comfortable with pretty descriptive violent killing, you may want to avoid reading it.
Noah Modern day Batman or more like Dexter if you really think about it - Serial killer Noah fined himself in a situation that he is unsure in what do. Noah kills the worse of worse. Noah takes them all down.. But what I’ve notice he seem to stick more to rapists, pedophiles Noan stalks his prey before close in for his kill, surprisingly he found himself in the situation unsure of what to do after he murder a pedophile … The pedophile daughter witnesses the murder unsure of what to do with her he drugs her & take her home
Amelia lived in the shadows. Her mom died when she was young, leaving her only with her drunk father.. Her uncaring father forces Amelia to drop out of school to help support the family. Amelia father has tendency knocking her around every time he drinks, which is pretty much every night.

***I received a free copy of this book from Author in exchange for an honest review***
Noah is a serial killer who kills bad people, the worst of the worst. He goes after rapists, pedophiles, murders & more. He is careful, he studies his victims making sure they are worthy of needing to be killed. One night while killing a nasty drunk who has raped a young girl, Noah is completely taken by surprised by the victim's daughter Amelia. He drugs Amelia & takes her home with him because he doesn't know what to do with her. She doesn't deserve to die but she has seen him & he just can't let that go. A twisted attraction grows between the two of them. Amelia wants to be angry that Noah has taken her & killed her father but she knows that her father deserved what he got. Noah doesn't want to hurt Amelia but has this desire to break her & make her his. As their attraction plays out & it becomes apparent the two of them are going to be together, Amelia becomes curious about what Noah does & begins to see she has a darkness inside of her as well. The darkness is a consuming need to kill & they try to used it to rid the world of bad people. When Noah finally allows Amelia on a killing 'field trip' something goes wrong. Someone see Amelia hit their mark in the head with a brick. Will Amelia get away? Will Amelia & Noah get caught? Do Amelia & Noah stand a chance at a relationship?
Okay this was one dark & truly twisted story though at the heart of it, it was a love story about two utterly broken people. They find acceptance in one another & it makes all the difference in the world to them because before that they met they were both terribly alone. Now I cannot condone serial killing as way to bond as a mutual relationship foundation but in this story it worked. I will hand to B.B. Hamel that her writing style made it work. This is the first of her novels that I have read & will be looking forward to reading more. This book is meant for mature readers.

I have no words for what I just read. It is that dark, twisted, and a page turner. Amelia and Noah are quite the pair. This was a seriously twisted story that will suck you in right away. Noah kills in the dark, but only goes after the people that deserve it. Amelia is an unlucky bystander when she witnesses her abusive father's death.
The story of Noah and Amelia is quite different and intense. Amelia isn't sure of what is going on with her feelings but she is changing.
This story is one of the best by B.B. Hamel....I love the dark and twisted stories.
I voluntarily received a copy for my honest review.
Oh my f**king God! This book was garbage! Holy shit. I've read and hated BB Hamel books before, always swearing I wouldn't read another one, but it was free and I had some time to kill. Damn. I should have pushed my thumbs into my eyes instead.
The hero in this book is an honest to God serial killer. The heroine is, apparently, a serial killer in the making because she finds she LIKES killing. They even (swallows the vomit rising into her throat) have sex against the wall in a room where the body of the man she just killed it gushing blood all over the floor. Seriously! That is some f**ked up shit.
Also, one of the baddies (besides to two serial killer MCs) is a guy named Sneer who, in one scene was a train conductor, and in another scene was a lawyer... Okay, BB, your book needs a solid proofreading--though I know you probably don't fork out the money for that because, you know, you're saving some of the thousands of dollars you scam every month to buy a new house in the Maldives.
I couldn't even stomach the disgusting "love" in this book; two people, connected through bloody murder, falling in love to the scents of gore and bleach.

Darkness, rage, revenge, hate....these are the emotions that fill him before he makes them disappear. Relief and a sensation of high is what he feels after. Tonight this sick man will take his last breath....Noah will make sure of that. There just too many reasons to rid the world of these sick men (people.) Noah is a man who decides it is time for action against the scum of the universe. He is doing it one by one, but the police don't notice the baddest of the bad disappearing. So this is a service that he does, this soothes him. Until tonight. Who is she? Did she see what he did? Oh yes she did....now she tries to run. He won't let her, he can't she is his....and he means in all the ways possible is she his.
The bruise on her eye and partially onto her cheek is fresh but not too fresh, it is changing colors now and is not so sore. Thanks dad. This is what she has come to expect. First mom dies, dad starts giving up anything good and drinks away everything. Then at age 16 she is basically forced to quit school and get little jobs here and there. That money is used by him. He has not only beaten her but done worse things to her. She wants him gone forever. Amelia never imagined her wish would be granted, by this burly brutish gorgeous man. She freezes when she sees what happened. It takes a minute or two but she starts to run, she doesn't want to end up the same way. Only thing is she actually is drawn to the man who did this, Next thing that happens is he puts a syringe to her neck and now she is in the basement somewhere....what is happening?
Noah didn't know his latest "client" had a daughter. He was supposed to be home alone. At least while watching this scumbag that is the norm that Noah witnessed. She is beautiful, scarred or bruised, scared all at the same time as intrigued. When she starts to run, he knows he has to stop her. No police, no getting caught, no letting her go. He drugs her to knock her out, takes her and dear old dad to his place. Dad is disposed of properly., Noah has put this gorgeous girl in the basement, and she is shackled at the ankle. He brings her food and water. The first meal did not end well, and as time passes there is freedoms grated to her when he begins to trust her. He sees a spark there, one like he has. Is she just like him? What has she endured? Why is she the one thing that is tripping him up from his outine? Can he get Amelia out of his head? Or is she truly his?
When she wakes up in the basement, a bit nauceous from the sedative and scared and fearing the worst, Noah brings her food and water. Well that is not happening. She is not at all upset about what happened, that concerns her a little bit. All the while she feels drawn to Noah. She isn't afraid of him, she is drawn to him like a moth to a flame. She wants more, much more. He leaves her in that cell of a room by herself for lengths of time, but he is always there with food and water. Slowly she begins to trust him, and she gets drawn in completely.
She wants to help him rid the universe of these bad horrible people. Noah doesn't believe this at first but comes to realize with some training she could help him. He gets even more turned on by this. Now the plot thickens....only in the good kind of way. Steam and yummy too. What changed? How is it they both have started to feel things for one another? Why are they fighting it so much? When they stop fighting the attraction and give in to their urges for one another, what transpires? Do they end up with a happily ever after? Of is there events that prevent this from happening? What little changes and twists happen that draw you in and embark on their journey with them? Getting this book to read and enjoy is the way to find out.
I loved the premise of this story. Bad boy, dark erotic, captive/slave dynamic, all things I love. After reading the synopsis I was amped! I expected a young, broken girl who found redemption in the arms of a Dominant (capital D is intentional) who turned her from scared and scarred to submissive and loved. I thought I was going to read about a man avenging his past by balancing the scales of justice stemming from personal tragedy that also fed his need for control in the world. I really found neither. I did find myself asking ‘why’ about a lot of details in this read, enough that it was a distraction for me. It’s not that I didn’t like the story. It was well written, with some amazing sex scenes, and just interesting enough to keep me wondering what was going to happen next. but the characters were a miss for me, and I’m bummed. I understand that Noah’s family was murdered and he is wealthy because of the lawsuits against the killer’s rich family. But why then is he then out to kill the specific type of criminal that he is? It felt like there should have been a connection there and I kept expecting a big ‘a-ha’ that never came and caused a gap in the sympathy factor. I understand Noah has a “dark” side that he must exercise, but I never got a handle on why? The title and blurb suggest that there is a BDSM element to his needs, that his dominance, is Dominance. His filthy mouth was hot, but out of place for me. I liked Noah, but found him confusing. Amelia was a mystery to me as well. Noah places her in her early 20’s, but then why is she still with her abusive father? Living in the attic? She’s not a prisoner there, yet she has the complex of one. She was only briefly bothered by her captivity with Noah, but then when she was free, she all the sudden was freaked out by a mysterious prisoner complex. Again, if felt inconsistent. I kept looking for more background that would explain her sexual prowess, but besides a mention of her father raping her when she was younger, there was nothing. I was looking for a trigger to be revealed, either in her past or something with Noah. There was no intro to her ‘dark side’; it just appeared. The next thing you know, they are killing together, falling in love, having a baby and living HEA. It just escalated so quickly and left me with more questions than answers. Maybe I’m being too analytical. Again, I would never call this a bad read, it wasn’t. I just didn’t get lost in the story the way I had hoped. Obviously, others did (look at those other reviews! I feel bad for not liking it more.). BB Hamel has been highly recommended to me before and I know her readers LOVE her. I will definitely dive into another of her reads and try again.
Noah has turned himself into something of an avenger. He’s rich, handsome and smart, but for him, that isn’t enough. He has a hunger for death. He needs to kill. Noah doesn’t go into any life and death situation half cocked. He does research, surveillance and collects as much information on the victim and their goings-ons, before he moves in for the kill. He only kills bad guys, not innocents. He doesn’t make mistakes, because mistakes can get him caught.
When Noah moves in to kill a child rapist, he thinks he’s in the house alone, but as the rapist crumples in a pool of his own blood, the man’s daughter, Amelia, walks in. She’s beautiful, she’s shocked and she’s a witness to the murder. Noah has to figure out how to deal with her. He knows he can’t kill her without regretting it, so he takes her captive until he can make a plan.
Amelia can’t say she’s sorry that her miserable, abusive father is dead, but she is sorry that witnessing it has gotten her kidnapped. However, as she gets to know the serial killer, his history, his motives, his mandate, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to Noah. She herself doesn’t understand it. He’s a murderer. He’s handsome, thoughtful, well-spoken and funny, not to mention very sexy, but he’s a murderer and her abductor. Why is her heart so confused?
Amelia gets drawn deeper into Noah’s world as she proves to him she can be trusted. She wants to please him. She wants to be with him. He just can’t believe that it would ever work. He was certain that he was destined to be alone his entire life. Who would want to be with a monster like him?
This is a very dark and twisted romance. Very sexy, suspenseful and smart, but very dark. A true bad boy romance.
No cliffhanger. Standalone with HEA. Told in alternating dual POVs.

A dark and hot new read from B.B. Hamel! Noah is a serial killer with rules, he only kills those who deserve it, the truly evil of his town, but one hit has him with a mess on his hands in the form of a witness, Amelia. Amelia's life has been one struggle after the next. A mom who died when she was young, a father who made her quit school to get a job and the father who makes her life miserable between the beatings, the verbal attacks and the way he lives. When a noise rouses her from her room she finds a man in her father's bathroom ending her father's life. What should have terrified her doesn't and the man who murdered her father ends up showing her more kindness than she has ever known. Ok yes, she is locked in his basement and chained up, but Noah never tries to hurt her and instead tries to make her comfortable. Noah has always thought he would be alone, but there is something about Amelia that has him wondering is she maybe has the same kind of darkness inside her that he does. What starts as a dark and twisted first meeting ends up in a partnership and love that neither saw coming. I loved the latest from B.B. Hamel. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
The title story if this book is Bind, presented as a dark romance. I've read some dark romances, and while the premise of this story is dark, the actual execution of it is not. I don't buy that a girl with her abused past would fall for him as quickly as she did; he did these terrible things and they both talked about the darkness inside, but I didn't really see it. Even when they did terrible things, it didn't come across as genuine. If you want regular romance, this is too twisted, but if you want dark romance, this doesn't cut it. I also thought the "dirty" talk and sex scenes felt repetitious and self conscious, as though the author was trying too hard to sound tough or shocking or something.
There are three bonus novels in this book. I read one of them, Kissing the Killer. It was the same story as the first one, only the anti-hero is a mafia hit man instead of a serial killer. Abused girl, absent mother, even the filthy house ius the same. Same sex, same thoughts same rambling. Same not-as-dark-as-it-sounds.
There are two more bonus novels, but I'm bored of the same less than stellar story and I can't bring myself to read them.
After discovering his parents bodies as a child, Noah becomes a vigilante serial killer. With a murder count of 80+, everything was going perfect till the night that he meets Amelia. With no other choice to be hold her hostage, he decides he can't kill her being shes an innocent and he recognizes the same darkness inside her as himself. Little by little, he starts to train her and take her with him on hunts, until a slip up happens. Will they be able to complete the mission despite the obstacles? Will they stick together regardless of the darkness that lives in their souls?
This was a great hostage to lover read! Definitely another hit for this author! Love Noah's character and you could tell despite his occupation that he had a heart, especially when it came to Amelia. Can't wait for more from this author!

Wow! Can a “bad” guy actually be a “good” guy in some cases? You wouldn’t think so but Ms. Hamel has a way of pulling things from you that you normally wouldn’t think of. Noah is just that guy, he is a tarnished hero. He helps rid the world of extremely bad people. All goes well for him until that one job. She just had to be there which forced his hand to do something he never did before.
This is one dark and erotic book that will keep you turning pages. I have loved other books by this author so it’s no surprise that this is one that will go to my “favorites” list. Well worth the read.
This book was provided freely as an ARC and I am willingly giving an honest review.
Noah is like Dexter, only he's way hotter. Amelia is an unexpected surprise, and he ends up having to take her as his captive when she catches him killing her rapist dad. He's a serial killer vigilante who metes out his own form of justice. Amelia is a victim of her dad's mistreatment, and being with Noah is a completely different experience. This is a way darker book than Ms. Hamel's other works, but it's an amazing and sexy read. I couldn't put this book down; it was spell-Bind-ing! I loved it!

This is a twisted and dark story so if you are not comfortable with pretty descriptive violent killing, you may wanna avoid reading it.
I was alright with the overall plot though. What I couldn't get over was how they can have sex right after the killing and right at the very spot where the killing happened. No doubt the adrenaline was high but to me, that is more twisted than the killing itself.
I've read a number of BB Hamel's books and this got to be my least favorite to date.
I received an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
Whoa. Yes - this is indeed a dark romance. This is Dexter Morgan meets Cinderella - and it's fantastic! This story is about two people whose life circumstances have left them deeply twisted. To find their way safely through the dark they adopt an honor code for killing that sates their needs and rids the world of scum. It's wrong and it's right. It's twisted and it's perfect. It's worth a read! I received a copy of the book from the author for honest review with no obligations.
Another well-written bad boy romance by B. B. Hamel that will draw you in from the very beginning and keep you turning the pages to see how the story unfolds. Ms. Hamel has given us a story that is dark, intense, raw, captivating, and so much more.
I volunteered to review an advanced readers copy of this book.
Noah leads a double life. He's a killer, but he only kills the scum of life like rapists, molesters etc. When he kills Rick, Rick's daughter Amelia walks in. He can't leave witnesses, so he has to take her with him.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader copy of this book, Another fantastic book BB Hamel, this book captivated me and I had to read it till i finished it, The characters were amazing with great chemistry. I just couldn't get enough. ABSOLUTELY recommend.
I got hooked on this book from the first page. The story is a dark romance full of suspense and steamy sex, it was hard to put down. This is my first book by B.B. Hamel and I look forward to reading more of her books.
I volunteered to give an honest review for this ARC.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book. This was a dark but erotic book. I loved Noah & Amelia's story. Wow!!! Couldn't get enough of this book. I look forward to reading many others by this author.
Arc review For honest review. Series killer Noah he kills bad men and on a job he caught killing by the daughter Amelia .This story is a very dark romance but really really good.
Batman meets Dexter with a fifty shades twist! This story is dark, twisted and sexy. Noah helps Amelia find her dark and she helps him find the light. Hamel has done it again.
Noah lost his parents in a violent act when he was just a young boy. Finding their bodies broke a part of Noah. Ever since he has been dedicated to stopping the monsters lurking in the shadows. By stopping, he means kill. Noah spent many years honing his skills and perfecting his technique. He has the perfect system. Until he goes after one man, whose daughter lives in the attic. Amelia has been a prisoner in her father's house all her life. She dropped out of school, has no education, no job. no life. She walks in to see her father, she sees Noah. Her life is altered forever. Noah has made a mistake that could cost him everything. He can't Amelia go She's seen his face. She saw what he did. He must take her. Take her and break her. But can her ever trust her? This is a dark romance. Noah has a darkness within him. That is only sated by blood. The blood of ruthless. He awakens that darkness in Amelia. Then the tables turn. What will he do?
This was oh so good. Noah is a serial killer, however he is still a good guy. He only kills evil people who hurt and abuse others. This is how he meets Amelia. She is the daughter of his current target. He has no clue what to do with her, however he can't leave her. These two embark on something that neither one expected and somehow along the way the start to have feelings for one another. I loved the story! I like how the Noah was and what drove him to do what he does. Then there is Amelia who is a victim herself and when these two are together they click into place. A great story and amazing characters. A must read!
This book is very dark with passion and heat all you can expect with B.B. Hamel and I loved it so much could not put it down you have a bad boy and a scared women and she is scared what her Father has done to her is unforgivable and then she is there when he comes to kill her Father but he can't let her stay their so her take her with him and makes her his and see's the scares on her body of what her did to her such a deep and awesome story of hate and love in the same book yes what a ride Michelle I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This is a very, very dark romance. Noah is a batman-style serial killer who was orphaned as a child and lives off of a settlement from his parents' murderer. He lives a solitary life until he is forced to take Amelia hostage when she witnesses him murder her father.
Although there is a happy ending (it is a romance, after all), it isn't a typical HEA. I prefer a more traditional HEA, and would have rated this book 3.5 stars with such an ending - although others may enjoy this approach.
I received this book in advance for an honest review. Love BB Hamel books. Noah is a super rich hottie that has a deadly hobby--he kills scumbags. The daughter of one of his targets, Amelia, catches him killing her abusive father. Unsure what to do with her, he takes her with him and chains up in one of his torture rooms. Unable to kill her or fight his attraction they become closer and closer. Noah needs his kills and soon Amelia joins him on his hunts. It's dark and erotic. Great read.
This book is dark, twisted and a page turner. Noah is a serial killer, but only kills bad people after watching them carefully and making sure they are bad people. Amelia's father is one of those bad people, she finds Noah after he killed her father. Noah kidnaps her, but they are drawn to each other. This is a seriously twisted, different and intense story that will suck you in right away.
When I need reliable I turn to Ms. Hamel. I can always count on a great story with even better characters. This was a different story altogether. Noah is a serial killer with an aversion for really bad people(rapist and pedophiles mostly). Amelia is the daughter of one of his victims who walks in on Noah in the act and gets taken. Noah helps unlock something in Amelia that she wasn't even aware of and she helps him realize what he's been looking for.
Let me just start by saying this was my first bad boy dark romance. BB Hamel was recomended by a friend and I loved it! The story was so well put together that I oddly understood where the characters were coming from. I cannot wait to read another book by Hamel :-)
I'm giving it a four because I did feel like there was a thing or two that I felt were unresolved. Minor things, but I hate not knowing everything so it bugged me.
