Truly average.
Not a terrible introduction to songwriting, but not an inspired one. With no examples, a lot of the lessons fall flat. This is more of an inspiration book than a how-to. Not very useful to a seasoned writer, but it might be for a beginner. I don't feel like I know more about songwriting than I did prior to reading this book.
