In the not so distant future, humans are divided into two very distinct the Beloveds and the Masses. The Beloveds are an elite, genetically perfect society of beautiful people living in palaces; the Masses are the low class of disease ridden, uneducated proletariat. The Masses worship the Beloved. And so they should. The Beloved are perfect in every way. The Beloveds stay secluded and cloistered from the Masses behind their palace walls, protected by adoring, dimwitted aliens known as the Guardians. Laurie Lyons is the author of the Newest Dystopian Novel, "The Wilds." She also wrote, “Feather”, "Gates" and "Faith" from The Feather Trilogy with Ring of Fire Publishing and “The Heart Tree” and "The Gatherers" short stories with Little Bird Publishing House.



Laurie wrote her first story at the age of 8 and hasn’t really stopped since. She lives in Calgary Alberta, Canada with her husband Trevor and their two clever children. She loves writing, reading and sharing her love of both with students during author presentations.
