Although I do like the first two books, this one is a bit predictive. It's also bit tiring to read because I find it too cliche.

Synopsis: Marty is a model, but to escape her ex-boyfriend, she comes to her hometown for Christmas. There is a snow storm, and she meets Nate, the boy who set her up in a cruel joke in high school. Nate is now the sheriff, and he knows that Marty hasn't had much experience driving in the snow on the back roads in the past few years, so he warns her. Marty gets to her childhood home mostly unscathed, but Nate turns up there too. It turns out that he has permission from her sisters to stay there if the roads are bad or it's a late night. They agree to share the house, but Marty doesn't trust Nate at all.
Nate was badly hurt in an incident that he can't remember. In fact, he can't remember a lot of his past. He doesn't understand why Marty feels so strongly about hating him, but he likes her sisters, so he wants to be friends with her, too. Unfortunately, Marty is having none of it.
Marty decides that since they have chemistry, she will use Nate for sex only, and maybe try and teach him a lesson in the process.
What I liked: the premise. I liked seeing Marty's sisters and how happy they were with their respective spouses.
What I didn't like: I really didn't like that it took a bump on the head that made him forget the person he was for Nate to change. All accounts point to the fact that until that experience, Nate was the same mean kid that he was in school, so it never really felt as though Nate made a choice to change. To his credit, Nate was upset by his actions when he learned about them, but it was definitely negated by the fact that it was forced on him. Marty was pretty unpleasant, too, and didn't really seem to take responsibility for her actions: it was her ex's fault, it was Nate's fault. And every time something didn't go her way, Marty ran away until the problem disappeared.

This is the ending to a very sweet and satisfying trilogy known as "the Stepp sisters". All three girls were treated poorly in high school and have to face the "untouchable" and "mean" boys from their past in order to find their happily ever after.
This is the youngest sister, Marty's book. Marty Stepp is a supermodel....literally. She is 6 feet of pure, unadulterated, gorgeous model material. She was teased for her height in high school and was badly hurt by Nathaniel Peck on a bet.
Nate is back, but a changed man. He regrets the man he was and the decisions he's made, and has vowed to change and "be and do better". He wants Marty badly, but needs to convince her of his changed ways.
This is a Christmas romance. I love those! Marty comes home for Christmas, is running from a career and relationship that has let her down, and runs smack dab into Nate. Their romance is slow to develop, but I like that. They both are wounded and need time to ready themselves for each other. The holiday season goes a long way to "push" them into each other's way.
I'm glad I took the time to read this series. Getting What You Want was my favorite (5 stars), Wanting What You Get was my least favorite (3.5 stars) and this was a close second to the first (4.5 stars). Overall very sweet, funny, entertaining, and recommended.

This turned out to be fun little series. I liked this one a lot. Of all the heroes in this series, Nate was the most......introspective. The hero in each book had a personal problem to deal with. With the first two, they had problems that we might not be able to relate to, but that we could at least understand. Nate's ordeal was different. He had a near death experience. A lot of people don't even believe in that sort of thing, let alone understand it. It changed his life. What got me was that with the first two books, (especially book 2 with Mason's alcoholism) any kind of ass hole thing the heroes did could be blamed on their problem or embarrassment because of their problem. They had to be responsible for their actions, but their actions had a catalyst. Not so with Nate. Before his accident, he actually WAS a bad person. He treated people horribly. When he realized the error of his ways the guilt weighed heavily on him.
It was perfect that he should be paired with Marty. She had major trust issues. She had to learn to trust someone who she knew was a schemer in the past. Their love story went a little slower, but it was right for the characters.
I flew through this whole series and would recommend it anyone.

December 1, 2012Now that I have read the entire Stepp Sisters Trilogy, I'm utterly in love with what Kathy Love has to offer. The title of this book, "Wanting Something More" fits it perfectly, for two reasons. 1. The characters, Marty and Nate, long for something more from each other. 2. The reader wants something more, needs something more from these characters, and boy do we get it! I can't decide which of the three books is my favorite, but I know this is a new favorite series. I truly enjoyed it and am half tempted to start back from the beginning right now (unfortunately, I have to come back to reality :( haha). The vocabulary still lacked, but it wasn't as bad as "Getting What You Want", however, it didn't improve from "Wanting What You Get". Can't really complain, as the book was still great. I made it a habit of reading this book just before bed. Ah, dreamland romance :D

This was the last book of the trilogy with Nate and Marty the model stepp sisters, but one of the reasons I really lied it was the author did a great job of tying up all the lose ends of all three of the sisters in the end

3.5 Stars.
Very sweet romance that I was not expecting to like. I don't typically like the bully to lovers romance trope but in this book it was done well and believable, mostly because the characters are not teenagers. I kept expecting something to happen that never did concerning Marty's ex so I was kinda left hanging but I didn't mind it so much. Nate's plan for his life was not something I see often in books and I found it kind of odd. I just saw him doing something else with his life. All in all, good read.

Love isn’t a perfect writer, she has some misses. Yet, she’s one of those who embeds reality in her works. In this book, the heroine, Marty Stepp is a famous supermodel. But Love didn’t waste time/pages dazzling her readers how famous Marty is. She went right into the heart of the story. Nate isn’t exactly the hero you would root for. He was awful towards Marty, but his redemption was just right.

I feel a WOW here.
Although I'm not thrilled with the whole : personality-change-after-near-death scenario, I love how this author handled it. Instead of your life flashing before your eyes, Nate's experience is completely different and much more meaningful. This was a unique spin and as usual, I love the characters and story. If this author had ever tried an overlapping PoV, on-going story, I would have loved it with a base of any of her characters and/or towns.

Nice to finish the series and have all the sisters with their HEA. This couple was the one with real history. Chase and Abby and Mason and Ellie had known one another but hadn't ever even exchanged words, however Nate was a jerk who purposelly set up Marty so she had a real reason to dislike him. I liked the contradictions of Marty, this small town girl who makes good in a very public way - she's a supermodel, but inside is still this mess of insecurities due to the way she grew up. The hero actually recognises at one point that the way he treated her may be the reason she's only ever been in relationships with men who ultimately use her.
The hero Nathaniel or Nate as he wants to be known after the accident, was difficult to get a handle on. Firstly we find out that he lived well into adulthood as the jerk he'd been in high school, loud, obnoxious, misogynist (his momma left when he was a child) and all round dog. The only positive note is that he became police chief very young and presumably was very good at it (the previous book actually shows Nathaniel as an okay guy, he caught Mason Sweet with a DUI and kept it hush, hush - altho one can argue that if he hadn't Mason would've gotten the wake-up call he needed much earlier - but then Mason would have never propositioned Ellie)
He got attacked one night, saw the light that he was a jerk and changed. His change was just extreme for me - he becomes a vegetarian, gives up hunting, becomes a big brother mentor and just generally becomes a lousy police officer - honestly, near the end when he finds out who attacks him the person who confesses actually has to say to him - you should have your attacker arrested and you should arrest me becos I aided and abetted or whatever. I just struggled with the idea that Nate felt this need to change so much - couldn't he have found a middle ground instead of going from chalk to cheese.
I also tend to dislike it when a life changing moment causes all this self reflection and repudiation of a former self. Can't a change in attitude and behaviour be something that a character acknowledges and tries to change while remaining true to the person that he is?.
That said I did like Nate and Marty as a couple. Their slow move from enemies (on her part) to friends and then to lovers worked well for me. The Christmas feel to the book, the description of the snow, the decorations, even the small part that Marty's sisters had in the book were nice. It's always nice to know what happened to previous characters and how they are now.

BEST BOOK OF THE TRILOGY
This was definitely my favorite book in the Stepp sisters trilogy and you can definitely read it without having read the other 2 books. It's nice to see her sisters again, but nothing that happens in the previous two books is necessary for enjoying this book.
The thing that set this book apart from the other two, for me, is the unique relationship between Marty and Nate. Unlike with both previous books where the heroine had a crush on the hero in high school (and in the case of Ellie, sister 2, that crush continued on long past high school), in this book, Marty has a terrible history with Nate and absolutely hates him. This makes for some interesting interactions between the two characters and adds a little more tension throughout the book.
I really enjoyed Marty's battle within herself over whether or not to trust that Nate had really changed and trying to reconcile the Nate that WAS (pre-incident) with the Nate that IS (post-incident). When I saw that Nate was going to be the hero of the 3rd book, I was wondering how the author was going to pull that off, because when we met him briefly in the beginning of book 2, he was a total jerk, as he was in the prologue of this book. But Nate's drastic personality change, and the reason behind it, in addition to Marty's reluctance to just accept it, really added a depth and tension to this book that I thought was missing in the previous two books.
While I enjoyed reading books 1 and 2, I thought this book was just one notch higher in my enjoyability scale. I highly recommend it!

suka buku ini.
suka si Marty, yg walopun cantik, tapi malah dapet cowok gay dan cowok brengsek. ternyata cantik dan berduit gak jamin hidup orang bahagia. sayang dia pensiun jadi supermodel, padahal ak suka dia jadi model :)
si Nate juga kepala polisi yang keren hehehe. walopun dia pernah ngelakuin hal yg (menurutku) susah buat dimaapin. serius nih, tindakan dia yang malu maluin Marty di hadapan seluruh sekolah tuh kejam banget. untunglah dia dapet 'pelajaran' yang bikin dia sadar dengan semua kejahatannya (bukan kriminal. cuma sikapnya yang kurang bagus) dan dia mulai berubah jadi lebih baek :)
yang namanya kejahatan, pasti kena karmanya :p
yang pasti happy ending lah ceritanya.

I think this is the first book I've read where I am attached to the heroine much more than the hero however I really liked that the hero did all the right things to get on her good side without coming off as a love-struck pleading weak male or a high-handed jealous brute. The hero did what any red-blooded male would do, he wooed at appropriate times and backed off at appropriate times so the lack of stalking and melodrama was nice to see for once. The heroine was pretty awesome-ly normal too. She is strong, smart, has a heart, doesn't jump to crazy conclusions (much), and acts like any red-blooded female who has trust issues.
I like the little bits of humor embedded in the story and I appreciated how we saw Marty slowly start to trust Nate and doesn't just jump his bones right away (as much as I kept screaming at her to do it already lol).
This was a very solid book and the best of the three in my opinion and can be read as a standalone if you dont mind knowing how the other two sisters get their HEA.

Marty Stepp has finally had enough of her cheating photographer boyfriend and the unfulfilling life of being a model. She decides to drive home in the middle of a snow storm at night and of course runs into her high school tormenter Nate Peck. Unfortunately she cant get away from him, he seems to be everywhere, including great friends with her sisters and their husbands. They all claim he has changed, but how is that even possible? Determined not to be attracted to Nate and to disprove or possibly prove that people can change she decides they will be 'friends' but its hard to remain platonic. Nate went through a traumatic experience that has left parts of his memory spotty. He cant remember what he did to Marty to make her hate him so much. He works to piece together his past and change for a better future, and Marty attempts to trust and start the next phase of her life.
I loved this trilogy, so sad this was the last one.

I do like reading Kathy Love books. They're quick and fun and very light hearted. This one is no exception.
The only problem I had with the series is that all three books are VERY similar in terms over overall storyline.
It was an enjoyable story but nothing all that exciting.

So Far this book has been a big disappointment. The characters, and plot , childish and elementary, not acting like grown up people but more like high school kids stuck for ever in a time warp.
Characters are very essential to a good story, when they don't grab the reader and lead them along with the action and story line, the book is hard to stay with. I find myself rolling my eyes and talking out loud to the silly dialogue and actions of the main characters. Marty is supposed to be a famous supermodel, for me she is super stupid.
Nate supposedly had a life altering situation after he was beaten almost to death, he in this book is a sympathetic character, but it's still hard to deal with after his appearance in an earlier book, and in the epilogue set him up as a complete jerk. He was more likeable than Marty.
I plan tho finish the book, but it is hard to really like the book.

I'm so sad to see this series end! I actually think this book was my favorite of the three, and I can't exactly explain why. I just loved Nate so much!
A near death experience has changed Nathaniel Peck from the horrible person he used to be, into one of the nicest guys around. Marty Stepp, whom Nate tortured in high school, has a hard time forgiving him and trusting him. I figured out who harmed Nate very early in the book, and I was dying for him to get some justice. The payoff for this felt a little weak to me...I would've liked to have seen a little butt-kicking, but whatever.
I highly recommend all three of these books, and this definitely will not be my last Kathy Love novel!

This is the 3rd and final book of the series.
This one features the sister's childhood bully and the girl he humiliated.
Fast forward quite a few years, they meet again.
Although now they are different. One's the town's Chief of Police and the other's a Supermodel who lives in New York.
Yeah, it's sarcastic humor at it's best. Still, like the others, it's sexy, sweet, and lighthearted.
All in all, I loved the first book the best even though I didn't even review the other two. I happen to have more time for this one.
Definitely, I recommend the series. Anything by Kathy Love actually. Her Paranormal Romance series are fantastic. Check them out. All of them are at the library too in case money is an issue.

This is a great ending to a series WHO KNEW you could get to love a guy who was really really really a jerk amazing, I love the way kathy love ended the series of the stepp sisters. Even though Nate was a jerk i thought kathy love did him justice the way he change after the accident it just made him into the guy you just can't hate no matter what he did in his past and the way she bought Marty and Nate together in the end was truly romantic. I love this book and would recommend you get all 3 books in the series

This was an enjoyable and light read. Not much excitement though. Maybe it's because I just came back from a month-long paranormal romance marathon or maybe contemporary romance is just not my cup of tea. Anyways, I thought this book is very cliche and normally, I love reading cliches but this time I just couldn't get into it. I do love Nate, I like Marty well enough, and there romance was okay but I just didn't love it. Then again, I have high standards when it comes to romance novels. I'll stop rambling now. :)

Cute book. Interesting take on Nate. He truly is a different person and seeking redemption in life. I think this was the problem for me. It would have been interesting if he had not become someone totally different. I think a little bad boy would have created more tension; Nate was too nice for me.

Somehow, I found it a little dry; it didn't really seem that she was a supermodel as there was tiny bits associated to it. Plus, there was no elaboration on the attack on him which should have provided an insight to why he's really changed.
Overall, it lacked the oopmh; could have been better but was okay nonetheless.
