Favorite Quotes:

And believe what they say about Texas… everything is bigger. Including the mom guilt trips. Any second she’ll sniffle, dab her eyes, and start on a tangent that includes kids leaving their lonely momma after she sacrificed all her good years, and she’ll be the only woman in history who suffered through hours of labor. I guess every other woman, who doesn’t live in the state of Texas, snaps their fingers and the stork drops a little darling off.

Cover your trout and make her shout is my motto.

Someone needs to come up with a how-to guide for dating a reformed player.

Well, welcome to adulthood my friends. This shit sucks… No wonder our parents like alcohol.

She should have worn skates, seems as she’s a ho-on-the-go.

My Review:

I am loving this delightfully funny and super steamy series of college friends as they are learning how to navigate their way through life, love, and disappointments. And I adore these characters, so full of sass and witty snark. Mason was a star athlete and known to be major player on and off the field but changed his game once he met the feisty spitfire named Brecklynn. Their naughty and snarky banter sets a new standard for the trope and had me smirking and barking aloud. Their sensual scenes left me gasping and in need of hydration. I will be eagerly awaiting the next couple and hoping for more of this same entertaining style of rom-com.

This is book 3 in the Endgame Series

Mason Adler comes off as an arrogant playboy. He is a star pitcher and every girl wouldn't mind being another notch on his belt. He will not deny that he has had his fair share of women, however, he is not the playboy everyone thinks he is. He cares about his family and his friends and his loyalty to those he loves is unwavering. He postponed a potential career in the majors in order to be with his best friends in college.

Brecklynn Collier moves to Kansas from Texas for college and also be closer to her brother. She is looking forward to asserting her independence and getting some breathing room from her mother, who has smothered her ever since Brecklynn experienced a horrible act of violence. She is determined to move past her ordeal and focus on college and her plans for the future. She wants to be a photojournalist and open people's eyes to the tragedies the world faces every day. She can't wait to get started on her future.

Mason meets Brecklynn at freshman orientation. He is immediately taken aback by her beauty. When he introduces himself to Brecklynn he expected her to fall all over herself like every other girl does when in Mason's presence. What he was not expecting was for her to hit him with so much sass. He was stunned silent, but once he recovered from the initial shock, he knew that he had to get to know this girl. Brecklynn reminds Mason of one of his best friends, Emberlee. Brecklynn has just as much sass and attitude as Brecklynn and she just loves it. It is so refreshing to him that there is someone who is not enamored with the baseball star, but challenges the man.

Mason and Brecklynn learn they have a lot in common, since it turns out that her brother, Brody is dating Emberlee. Since the whole group hangs out, they are both thrown together and they end up spending a lot of time together. They quickly become more than friends and Brecklynn insists that they keep their relationship quiet.

During the progression of their relationship, something catastrophic happens and it rocks Mason's world. It will test their relationship and things may never be the same again.
This was one of the books in the series I was most looking forward to. Mason quickly became a favorite of mine in the series. I could not wait to get to his story. He came off as childish at times, but honestly, I think he was the one people counted on to lighten the mood and make things ok when they got too heavy. His love for his family and friends is so pure and you can't help but fall in love with him. His story and his struggle broke my heart and I wept for his pain. His story made me appreciate and love him even more. I hated seeing his story end.

Leigh Ann Lunsford has again hit it out of the park. This is the 3rd book in the Endgame Series and it's rare for the third book to be every bit as good as the first and second but it is.

Mason Adler is a self-assured, arrogant, smart-mouthed player who often takes his friends man cards. However he is also loyal, protective, and a fierce friend.

Brecklynn Collier has had a rough past that she is trying to overcome. She protects her heart like a lioness protects her cubs. She knows what Mason is all about and wants no part of him.

As the two tread into unknown waters, you feel the push and pull. Just as one wall comes down another two go up. When one person has never entered these types of relationships and the other has major trust issues how can there ever be any middle ground? How can they even out the see saw of their life? Then when the unexpected happens these two are thrown into the middle of a crisis. How will they handle it? Will it destroy everything they have been working toward?

What I love most about this series is it's about a bond that 5 people share as the root of the tree and then like every good tree it branches out. They lean on each other, fight, harass, and pick on each other, but at the end of the day they lean on each other and have a solid foundation.

This story in-particular is hilarious! I found myself laughing so hard, spitting out my drink, and having to stop to read some of it again. Probably my absolute favorite line in the whole book is "It doesn't make me happy - they both get a reward for screwing me over. I hope her v*gina turns into a Venus flytrap and snaps his d*ck off". If you read the first two books (and you have to this is not a standalone) then you will be able to actually "see" Mason saying these things. The author does a brilliant job of making you connect with the authors in a way that you can feel like you are there witnessing everything.

I can't wait for Avery's story next.

Review by Lisa Kane

Mason always intrigued me-he was the guy all the girls wanted and could have....but only for a night or two. Except for his best friend Emberlee-they had a friends with benefits relationship that went on for a few years. But she has found her soul mate with Brody and Mason is captivated by Brecklynn-Brody's little sister.

Brecklynn and Mason keep their relationship on the down low. She doesn't want the hassle of her brother finding out. She's just content that she is living on her own without being under her mom's thumb. Ever since she had a devastating event in high school, her mom has coddled her. Now she's living with Brody and Emberlee but is branching out. Don't get me wrong-she loves being with Mason, but she wants to follow her dreams of photography. His dreams of a career in baseball are just within his reach-but she wants to follow her own path.

Life throws a curve ball Mason's way and it's a big one. Can he overcome all the crap life is throwing at him right now? What if baseball becomes a dream but not a reality? Will Brecklynn choose an opportunity that comes her way or will she give it up for Mason?

Karma follows in the tradition of the first two books-great flawed characters, missed opportunities, wrong decisions and life long love and friendships.

Mason is exactly what I was expecting him to be. Funny, sexy, cocky, protective. He has a big heart, loves all his friends and is a ladies man until Brecklynn arrives to steal his heart.
I never thought Mason would be this patient man waiting and working for Brecklynn to be with him. But hey, when the ONE appears all bets are off!

Told in a double POV, you get into the reasons and the whys of each character.
Brecklynn wasnt looking for love, or a relationship. She's even trying yo avoid one, but Mason can be very persuasive... together they find love and are willing to live for each other, even if their lives are so different. He's a baseball player, she's a photographer. Mason's past can make Brecklynn afraid to go on and after some misunderstandings they both will have to fight for their love.

Its great to see how all the other characters are a real family. They hurt, love, fight for only one thing: to be happy!

Now... Caden's story... hummmm I'm starting to guess and I really hope I'm right!

This series just keeps getting better and better and to me, this was the best one yet! All of the wonderfully written characters are back, plus a new one in Brecklynn...Brody's sister, who as a 16 year old went to a frat party and was attacked, which has left her with some issues of her own.

But it's this storyline that pushed this book over the top. So very well written, so full of emotion and even some laughter...how can there not be laughter with Mason in the story. But this is Mason's story and it is not all laughs. He's met his endgame, his one and only. But being a pitcher has it's risks and Mason's dreams may very well end because of a injury.

Like too many, Mason begins to abuse his prescription medication and mixes them with alcohol. He lies to his friends, his coach, his girl. Like so many, his abuse takes a toll not only on him and his body, but those he loves the most. Friendships become strained, relationships are ruined, and a career may be lost forever.

This storyline, Mason's storyline is heartbreaking in that he is such a loveable character that you hurt for him and with him. You want to step into the story and help him, but as anyone who has ever dealt with someone with an addiction, or who abused medications, you can't help them until they ask for help. This is where you see how strong the bonds for family and friendship are.

An amazing read, and wonderful story that will grab you and hold you to the very end. You will laugh, you will cry, you will get angry and you will smile from ear to ear. I cannot put into words how highly I recommend this book.

Karma by Leigh Ann Lunsford is book three in the Endgame series. This book can be read as a standalone but being that I have read the whole series I suggest reading the other books because they are good reads and it gives you more background of other characters. I do want to warn that there is addiction in this book and may be sensitive or a trigger for some. Mason Adler is God's gift to women and he's known as a player on the baseball field and off. He doesn't seem like the type to ever settle down. Well until he meets Brecklyn Collier. She has just started college and is the little sister of Brody who happens to be his good friend Emberlee's boyfriend. At the beginning their relationship is kept a secret because Brecklyn feels that she's not ready to label it and her brother Brody is super protective etc. Eventually their relationship is outed. I am not going to lie and say that their relationship is easy. They have a lot
Of issues that they both have to work through. I enjoyed this book in the series. I really like Mason and was glad to get a whole book about him. The addiction struggles were very real and even though they didn't go super deep I felt like the point was well done. I love Masons relationship with Julie. It's so cute and so innocent. And I love that he's a total pushover who always has lollipops for her lol. Just super cute! I do like him
And Brecklyn together. I thought the writing was good and the characters are well written and likable. I can't wait to read the rest of
The series. 4 star rating!

Wow.. This is the third book in the End games series. It is Masons story. I love me some Mason...
Masons is a player. He thinks that he should only have to done all things Mason. But here he is at this orientation for upcoming freshman— when I’m a freshman myself. Ironic. Coach Gill didn’t give him an option. He said it shows school diplomacy. I’m a legend in baseball, therefore it’s his civic duty to show some fresh meat the campus and what it has to offer.
Brecklynn is on her freshman tour and Mason is her tour guide. She notices him eyeballing the girls like he is in a candy store.. He looks her up and down a few times before she asked him it she if he seen something he liked. He did see that coming. Whole tour he keep asking her name and until the end of the tour she doesn't give it too him. Than she says her first name only. He ask for her last and her phone. She says no just that for now. She will not tell her brother about Mason because he will want to kill me.
Mason can't get that girl out of his head and he don't know her last night. Will Brecklynn give him a time of day? Will she want to more than Mason can offer if she she does? Will they friends be okay with them seeing each other?? This question are all answer and more when you buy the book... GO BUY THIS BOOK NOW!!!!

Sometimes when you read a book, you don't connect with the characters. Unfortunately this was the case for me with Book #3 - Karma, my first with this author.

Even though these are standalones, I found it difficult to follow the plot from time to time. There is very little detail about the other characters from previous books who play a part in this storyline and that, plus the lack of flow in the story, added to my confusion on occasion.

The hero was portrayed as an Alpha Male but to be honest, he came across as immature and plain annoying at times. The heroine was a strong sassy character but also left me feeling bewildered as her mood swings were maddening and exasperating. My favourite person was Breck's mother, she gave great advice.

There is an adult theme touched on with Breck's history. I feel there should be a warning attached to the synopsis, as it will be a trigger for some.

If you have read the previous Endgame books, you will most likely enjoy this one, but for me, it just didn't hit the mark.

Mrs. Lunsford has outdone herself once again.

This is book 3 in the series and I couldn't wait to read it. Mason is the star pitcher and ladies man. He has always been the player of the group until he meets Brecklynn.

Brecklynn is a freshman who has just moved from Texas to go to school near her brother Brody. When she meets Mason she decides to keep it light until she realizes he wants something serious. With Mason being the big shot ball player, Brecklynn has her reservations of being in a committed relationship.

We are given the front row seat to friendship, the meaning of rock bottom, love, hurt, innocence, and dreams coming true. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

“Karma” is the third book in the Endgame series by Leigh Ann Lunsford featuring Mason and Brecklynn. These books are not standalones and should be read in order. Mason, Caden, Deacon, Saylor, Avery, Emberlee and Brody are back in the third installment where we get to see the relationship between Mason and Brecklynn. The series so far follows around the same time frame but shown from each couples perspective. Brecklynn is the younger sister of Brody who was featured with Emberlee in “Kismet” and the story starts with Brecklynn and Mason meeting on Brecklynn’s tour of their college in Kansas. Brecklynn knows from the start that Mason is a player as she has heard the stories that follow him all over campus. Yet the moment he sees her, she can’t help but flirt back with him. He is immediately captivated by her eyes and needs to know more about her. Since she is only there for a brief visit, he knows it’ll have to wait until she moves to town for school. A chance run in at a frat party leads to them getting to know one another better and agreeing to spend more time together. Brecklynn is nervous about getting too close, given his reputation, but she loves the way he makes her feel. Mason has never been one to get too close emotionally with a girl but Brecklynn makes him want to dive in head first. These two have no idea how to really be in a relationship and it’s sort of sad and sweet to watch them stumble through it all. Brecklynn has had a rough past with men and Mason has always been a player so neither one is really equipped to handle the bumps in the road. Their story isn’t all rainbows and sunshine, but is a beautiful one to read. They both struggle with life, their futures and friends along the way but the crazy bond they have seems to get them through. I truly love the characters in this series and how much they care about one another. Even if caring isn’t what they need, the friends always do what the person needs most. They really are more like family than friends and it is such a pleasure to read about these characters and learn more about them in each book. The story, while similar in each book, still evolves and you get more from it in each book. I really love the way Leigh Ann Lunsford shows you bits from each book but still manages to evolve it and show you more about each character. I truly can’t wait to read what comes next from this crazy awesome group!! I give “Karma” five stars and would give many more if I could!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book!!

I give Karma (book 3 in the Endgame series) by Leigh Ann Lunsford 5 stars.
This review may contain spoilers from previous books in the series.

Mason Adler is on the top of the world. He’s the star pitcher of his college team. He has dreamed of the pros and at this rate, he won’t have any problem. He can and usually does have any hot chick on campus he wants. He’s living the college bachelor dream – notoriety, chicks, and parties. His best friends may be getting married and settling down, but he has no intention of it. His career is the most important thing in his life. Then he meets her and suddenly he thinks maybe he should give up his swinging lifestyle…

Brecklynn decided to follow in her big brother’s footstep and go to the same school he’s attending. She can’t wait for the freedom to be out on her own away from her loving but overbearing mother. She knows she means well, but it’s smothering. She can’t wait to spread her wings. She goes to orientation and the upperclassman guiding the tour catches her attention immediately. He has bad boy written all over him – the tattoos, the confident smirk, the well built hot body. And he seems to zero right in onto her. He ignites something in her. He might be good for a roll in the hay.

They go on a date, but then he starts pushing for more. She know he is a player and she refuses to get her heart broken. But she is drawn to him. Is it something she can get past? Is it worth it? Then a tragedy happens that seemingly makes all of this a moot point. Can they survive all the ups and downs? Is their love the real thing meant to endure?

To say I love this book is an understatement. I made the mistake of picking this book up around 1:30 in the morning. I could not put it down until I finished it around 5. And I am being literal, I didn’t leave the couch once. My bladder was screaming at me and I was starving once I got to the end. And I will most likely collapse from exhaustion into bed shortly. The characters in the book are wonderful. Not only are they very realistic, it’s wonderful to see the evolution of them. This is not only a love story. You will laugh at the snarkiness of all of them – including the parents! You will get hot and bothered at some of the love scenes. You may cry at some of the issues they face. If you haven’t read this series, start now but be forewarned – you will be binge-reading!

Where to start? Karma is the third book in Leigh Ann Lunsford’s “Endgame Series”. It has to be one of my favorite top reads. I waited on pins and needles to continue it. I wasn't disappointed at all! Karma lives up to its name and comes around a few times. This book involves Brecklynn Collier and Mason Adler. I LOVE MASON ADLER! there, I said it! He's sarcastic, smart mouthed, pompous, vain handsome all American baseball player. You cannot fall in love with Mason Adler. He has charm and wit that has always been in his back pocket, he's a household name that he's use to hearing cheered and screamed. While being a tour guide for an upcoming class he meets Brecklynn Collier. CHECKMATE!! Man oh man does she hold her own against Mason. She's a spitfire in nature and knows what she wants and Mason isn't it. Mason is a player on and off the ballfield. Brecklynn has his game in question. He's flying by all the bases and just wants a home with Brecklynn. These two are part of a tight nit group. I've never enjoyed a group of people in a book more. Mason’s pastime adventures creep up between them two, Brecklynn witnessing moments she doesn't want to be apart of. Something happens to Mason to where he's losing himself and everything he cares for. It all seems to change, time, friends, love. Mason’s challenges ring a true story with me. To personally connect with a story line is something to behold. It was very insightful. I honestly loved the fun and jovial characters. I love that Brecklynn seemed way beyond her years. The interaction these two have is truly heartwarming and entertaining. It's really hard to believe this is the third book book in the “Endgame Series”. I feel like you could totally read as a standalone but the background is great to have with the other two books. So here I sit on pins and needles again to continue on my Endgame collection! Well done Leigh Ann Lunsford! Well done!

Karma by Leigh Ann Lunsford. I give this book 5/5 stars. The theme of this book is a baseball player falls for a girl who has a past. This is the fourth book in the Playing Fate Series.
Brecklynn is from Texas and is in town for college. She misses her mom once classes started. Her brother flips a lid when he finds out about her and Mason. The first quote I chose for her is when Mason wants to come out: “Just wait a few weeks. School starts next week, and I need to adjust without throwing this drama front and center. Brody will flip, and it isn't the time.” The second quote is her explaining to her brothers girlfriend what's going on: “He hints he wants to be in a relationship. I don't know-- he's kind of a big deal with baseball and the ladies-- a player in all things. Neither one of us is seeing anyone else, so I guess we're exclusive and biding our time. We'll see in a couple of weeks once school starts and we give our self a bit to get into the swing of things.”
Mason is part of the group we've met in the first three books. He falls fast for a girl who he shouldn't fall for. His life is great once things work out for them. The quote I chose for him shows that he wants to try with her: “Ask me anything. In case you haven't been listening to the same thing that's been coming from my mouth...I want us to be relationship-y.”
This is the fourth book I've read by Lunsford. I really liked everything about the book. I felt so many emotions throughout the book. I was instantly in the book from the beginning. I highly recommend this if you like sport romances. Check out this amazing author, series and any books she has.

Mason Adler who is an arrogant gorgeous player is back for his own story. When met Mason in Playing Fate and boy does he have a mouth on him. Mason is incredibly funny to me with his joking and taunting. I would totally hang out with him and his crew.

Enter Brecklynn who has him taking look after look after look at her. Their first interaction has him introducing himself but she will not give him her name. It has been a few months and Mason can not get the girl he met once out of his thoughts. Strangely Brecklynn can not get the handsome Mason out of her mind and she wonders if she will see him again.

It’s time for her to to move to start school and she runs into him. They start secretly seeing each other. Mason is known as a player and Brecklynn has demons in her past that keep her from committing to a future. At times I found Brecklynn extremely annoying and disappointing. I hated the way she treated Mason, yes she had her reasons but man I hurt for him. He did not give up on her, he kept trying to win her affections. When he hit rock bottom I thought man this is it she will see him in a different light.

Leigh Ann is so funny at one point Brecklynn says, “your Mason Adler.” He replies, “ I’m well aware of my name.” “Your exploits and reputation precede you. I haven't started class yet and I learned about you at orientation. There are so many emotions in this story, there is a bit of everything. I laughed, I cried and I screamed a couple times. I love Mason and I hurt for him when he hurt but I screamed No a couple of times when I wanted him to stop. If you haven't started this series, what are you waiting for?

I am really enjoying the endgame series. Karma is the third book in the series and although they can be read as a standalone, I feel to get a better understanding of the book and its characters you should read from the start, this way you know the background story of the other characters /friends in the book and not just the two main characters.
This third story is about Mason Alder and Brecklynn Collier. Mason Adler is a player although I feel he still has a big heart and he has to be my favorite character so far, but then again I say that about the main male character after reading each book. He is good enough to play baseball in the majors but decided to put his dreams on hold and have the whole college experience with his friends.
Brecklynn Collier is starting her freshman year. She is studying to become a photojournalist and doesn’t want or need a relationship, especially after being hurt in a previous relationship. She just wants to experience what college is all about. Then she meets Mason and they have an instant connection. Mason can’t stop thinking about Brecklynn even though he is a player, he can’t get her out of his head and Brecklynn comes alive when she is around Mason. Mason knows that Brecklynn is the one but can he make Brecklynn see it too?
Leigh Ann Lunsfords books keep you hooked from the start to the very end. She makes you become friends and fall in love with the characters and their stories. Leigh Ann Lunsford another job well done.

Going into Karma I wasn't sure I would love Mason after the first two books. He seemed like that guy that was going to stay one way forever. I liked him in the other books but at times he got on my nerves with his arrogance. But he surprised me and I think I loved him from the start of this book. Karma shows a whole new side to Mason and it's hard not to love the guy by the end.

I did have a hard time with Brecklynn at times in this book. I get why she did some of the things she did due to her past but at times I found them childish and a bit immature. Maybe even a bit selfish which I know came from self preservation but when Mason needed her the most I kind of felt she gave up on him. I felt the same discord that Emberlee felt for her at times. I wanted to yell and scream at her to get her head out of the sand.

Leigh Ann always touches on some kind of serious subject in her books and this one is no different. Once again she did it in such a way that we feel for the characters and instead of being upset we want to reach into the book and help them in anyway possible, even if they don't want to help themselves.

This might be her best book yet and I look forward to reading whatever she has coming next.

Leigh Ann Lunsford has hit a grand slam with this series. I love the writing. The detail of the characters that make this group of friends forever family just keeps a smile on my face.

Mason Adler, what can I say. He is the ultimate, arrogant, beyond handsome, pitcher and knows it. He’s fun, carefree and the immature one of the group. I love that he is so protective of his friends and supportive of their decisions. He is the perfect spoiling uncle of his niece Julie. My ovaries exploded every time there was a scene with them.

Becklynn Collier is the little sister of Brody from Kismet. She’s cute and sassy and just about the only one who can handle Mason. She has the normal little sister problems with an over bearing, over protective mother and brother. But we understand their position as we find out Becklynn’s backstory.

I said Deacon was my favorite in book one and Brody in book two, well, Mason has my heart in this series. I love this series by Leigh Ann Lunsford so hard. Whether you’re a baseball fan or not it doesn’t matter because these characters are real and you won’t be able to stop yourself from falling in love with each of them.

Mason is the ultimate player. On and off of the baseball diamond that he loves. He doesn't believe he will ever settle down like he has watched his friends do over the past few years, he only wants the flavor of the night, not a lifetime. He already has his one true love...baseball. But when Brecklynn walks in the door, Mason is thrown for a loop. He is no longer thinking about the flavor of the night, but thinking about Brecklynn and her dreams and having her in his future. But which one of his loves will be the mistress?

I absolutely loved this book. I thought Playing Fate was my favorite, but I think Mason kicked Deacon out of the top spot. This is a series that you will not be disappointed while reading. I couldn't put these books down and read all 3 books within a weekend. That is how much Leigh Ann Lunsford sucked me in. It seemed like she had me transported to this little neighborhood and I was sitting front and center for it all. Can't wait for Caden to get his story.

*ARC*

Karma is the third book in the Endgame series and I think it is safe to say that it may be my favorite one so far! Karma has angst, it is emotional, the storyline will have you addicted, needing to know what will happen next. If you haven’t read the previous books in the series, please do so before starting Karma, trust me.

Mason will at times make you want to beat him with a baseball bat but then will have you loving him once more. Brecklynn is a strong female lead who can be as stubborn as a mule and as hard headed as a brick wall at times but I still adored her character and connected with her more than I thought I would.

Leigh Ann Lunsford has a new fan in this book whore; I can’t wait to see what she writes next. Karma is one that needs to be added on your TBR lists for sure!

This book is so freaking amazing!! It is well written and has an amazing story plot. I love every single character in this book. Definitely one of my favorite books ever! Mason is a college baseball pitcher and Brecklynn is his friends younger sister. They have instant chemistry. Amazing couple. This story has a few twists and turns. Can't wait to read the next book in this series. One of Leigh Ann Lunsford best work!! I volunteered to review a copy of this book.

Having an older brother at the same college as you is something that Brecklynn loves and hates. She loves having her brother there for support, but when she has to go behind his back to continue her relationship with Mason it can be too much to handle. But will the alpha playboy, Mason, reform to someone that Brecklynn deserves? Or will the baggage from her past influence her interactions with Mason? Adorable and heartwarming all at the same time. A great addition to the series.

Mason's story

Mason and Breck have a surprising relationship but man is it hot! Lunsford definitely doesn't hold any punches in Mason's story and totally takes you on unexpected turns you did not see coming to deal with. You will want to not put this book down and just keep reading.

For some reasons, Brody & Emberlee's story won me over. Mason & Brecklynn's is a bonus...

Karma is the much anticipated third book in the Endgame series, by Leigh Ann Lunsford. I don’t know how Ms. Lunsford manages to do it, but her books just keep getting better and better, the further into the series we go. The previous books are brilliant and I adore them, but somehow Ms. Lunsford ups her game in Every. Single. One. This is her best, so far!
This is a series, and as such- the book should be read in sequence and as part of the series. So if you haven’t read the previous two books, you really should. This reading experience will be much more enjoyable with all the backstories and character information contained in the other books.
Brecklynn Collier is just about to start her freshman year. She aspires to become a photojournalist, travelling the world and telling stories with the pictures she captures through her lens.
She has no desire for a relationship; her focus is on her studies and her career. Brecklynn is a wounded soul, emotionally scarred from a traumatic experience three years previously. She shuts down any attention or interest in her. So when a cheeky, overconfident and well known ladies’ man shows a lot of interest in her on orientation day, she brushes him off; even though everything about him has her intrigued. ‘His eyes. His lips. His body. His tattoos.’
Mason Adler is supposed to be giving a tour of the campus to these prospective students, but instead he can’t seem to take his eyes off the stunning blonde with the amethyst eyes. She is exquisite and her voice is like silk. He has to have her. But she isn’t responding to his usual ‘plays’; he’s never had to work hard for a woman attention before- they usually throw themselves at his feet. This is a new experience for him.
They can’t stop thinking about each other. Particularly Mason. He is besotted. So when they unexpectedly bump into each other just before term begins, he is determined not to let her get away. So begins their relationship. Mason knows that she is his ‘one’. But Brecklynn has trust issues and has trouble dealing with Mason’s reputation, and all the attention that he gets from women.
When Mason suffers a life changing situation, it puts everything they have built together to the ultimate test. Can she get over her insecurities? Will he still be there? Will they find their way together? Will this new circumstance bring them together and strengthen what they have, or will it drive them apart? What of all their hopes and dreams?
Ms. Lunsford has turned a well thought out idea and fully realised characters- into a detailed, emotionally charged, engaging, fully matured and exquisite piece of work.
I have loved Mason since the very first book. There were points in the story where I didn’t like him very much- but happy that he redeemed himself, in my eyes. Being the player that he was, I wasn’t sure he would ever be able to find ‘the one’ that would be his Endgame. I am happy to be wrong. Brecklynn is lovely. She’s so sassy and determined. I did get a little frustrated with her indecision, at times.
Ms. Lunsford’s inclusion of other characters from the previous books is fantastic. I really loved seeing what was happening in their lives and catching up with them. I enjoyed the camaraderie they share as a group and the interplay between them all. Their banter is hilarious. Their loyalty to each other is wonderful and the way they support one another, is inspiring. I am intrigued by Avery and Caden, what is happening with those two? Where does Avery keep disappearing to? I hope to learn more about them in the near future.
The story is told from a duel POV. It has a great pace and flows well. I devoured it in an afternoon. The story ends in a HEA.
There is so much to love about this book, you really should get it and find yourself drawn into Ms. Lunsford’s wonderfully emotive and erotically enticing world.
Ms Lunsford, you hit out of the park, again!!

Thank-you!

I will never tire of reading the words this author puts on paper. This series has been truly amazing and it just keeps getting better. Mason Alder is “THE PITCHER”. He’s a ladies man and an amazing friend. During the freshman orientation tour he gets his first taste of obsession. In the form of Long blonde hair , tiny frame, beautiful smile, and legs for miles. Brecklynn Collier is there for spring break visiting her brother and girlfriend. Little did she know her life was about to do a 360. She sees her future with a camera in her hand and a passport in her pocket. Looking at the destruction the world seems to always hide. No one will stand in her way especially a playboy. So why not have some fun with him and treat it like a fling. What she wasn’t expecting and fought was her falling and him being the reason she fell. But will she get past his playboy past to a future or let her insecurities break them. Mason is all about baseball and the ladies but one lady seems out of reach and he his willing to give up his prized man card to have her. He is usually the one on the pitchers mound throwing the strikes but it seems he’s hitting strike after strike in his life. Three strikes and you're out. Mason is on his third strike is this the endgame for him and Brecklynn? I loved this story and the author just keeps getting better and better. The raw emotion and realism her stories give off have me staying up wanting to finish every last word. Not wanting to wait until I’ve rested to know what happens next. It was heartbreaking, tragic and breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL. This is why I read to put myself in their lives and feel what they have felt and understand why the author writes. Those gold stars are 24kg stars. The highest quality of gold. I am patiently waiting(not really) for the next book. I know it will have me sitting on the edge of my seat.
