Creative Glass Techniques: Fusing, Painting, Lampwork

Rate this book
Thanks to the availability of affordable kilns and the vast creative potential of the material, glass crafts keep growing in popularity. There's no better place to learn the essentials of the art than this superbly photographed full-color manual. It introduces beginners to three major, accessible techniques for creating a variety of pieces--fusing, painting, and lampwork. The 32 elegant, hands-on projects range from a shimmering oval mirror to a vase sparkling with colorful lusters and crystal ice.

"One of the most handsome books on contemporary fusing, slumping, and glass painting...A must-have for glass artists."-- Common Ground Glass

This book is mostly broken into 3 sections; fusing, painting, and lampwork. Lampwork only gets a precursory discussion (for reason explained in the book.) The section on fusing goes into way greater depth than is necessary, with mostly inane project ideas offered. The painting on glass section did not go into great enough detail, in fact she might have been better off in simply writing a book dedicated tot eh subject of glass painting, so that it could all be better discussed.
