Amira Rain is a popular author of a shifter and paranormal romance.
When she is not writing she enjoys dancing and going to the theatre. One of her big passions in life is chocolate and she has an irrational fear of spiders. So much so, that even a photo of a spider will scare her.
This book is very disorganized and it ramble all over the place. There are so many different things going on but it not going alone with what going on at that time. It could have been a good story without all the flash back or wondering thought. I read the hold book but it was had to get through.
One of the firdt things I noticed in this book is that for the first character something is off with the formatting. New paragraphs didn't get made, but the indentation for a new paragraph is still there. Hopefully this gets fixed in an update. Something else I noticed was there was a lot of detail that didn't add to the story. There was a lot of time spent on the h's mom in the beginning, but she doesn't make another appearance. In another scene the h spent 6 paragraphs debating whether or not to answer her phone/voicemail. When she finally did, we are treated to the longest voicemail in history! I also didn't care for the heroine. She didn't really give people time to speak;she assumed she knew what everyone wanted to say. She constantly did it to the Hero. It got annoying. I read the entire book because I was interested in the story, but it later got to prettily wrapped up. Based on the final chapter, this should be the only book involving this group of people.
I really tried but the lack of formatting in the beginning and way too much detail about unnecessary people/events left me struggling to continue to read the story. I liked the premise and was very hopeful, but this book was not for me.
I really enjoy the paranormal romances by this author. She creates interesting storylines that really capture your attention. In this one, you have a young woman told she is a mother but her child is missing. When she was kidnapped, her eggs were removed and then fertilized by sperm from a lion shifter.
She heads on a journey to find her child and it begins with tracking down the father. From their first meeting, it is clear these two have a strong attraction. I liked that he teases her a little. He has just found out that he is a father too but he has an important job of protecting the community of shifters he leads. She is really determined to help track her child and does not given in to him when he wants to keep her safe. The romance is given time to develop and I enjoyed the ending.
Emily is a "Magical" who tries to hide this, but she accidentally does some "zapping" and is then kidnapped for 4 days. She later finds out that she was kidnapped by those who called themselves The Creators and they harvested her eggs to mix wit the sperm from a lion-shifter named Kellen in order to create a "super baby". The Creators want to make lots of super babies so they can take over the country and rule it themselves. Emily goes to where Kellen lives to try to get her baby girl back and they fight the Creators and the Grey Wolves to rescue the baby girl named Violet. The Creators kidnap some other girls and Emily and they are rescued by the lion-shifters and by Emily's friend Tara. Tara marries one of the lion-shifters and soon there are more babies coming to the village. Emily and Kellen get married. Then Emily makes a special memory garden in remembrance of Lindsay who was used as the surrogate mother for Violet. Just after this Emily realizes that she is again pregnant and all ends well for now.
The premise of this story was so interesting. Emily is kidnapped and returned to the place of her kidnapping, seemingly unharmed, but not being able to remember what happened to her in the several days that she was missing. Imagine her surprise when almost two years later she is told by federal agents she has a daughter by a lion shifter. She then sets out to talk to the father, Kellan, and find their daughter. This was such an intriguing story. Imagine trying to find a baby you didn't know you had, and had missed the first year of her life. Emily survived her kidnapping, but at the cost of her sense of security. When she eventually felt safer and stronger (after taking self-defense classes) she was more than ready to find her daughter and confront her kidnappers. I loved Kellan, and the group of lion shifters. They all rally around one of their own, and have a strong sense of community.
Emily goes through a kidnapping that leaves her with amnesia and almost two years later she finds out she has a baby! Read how Emily finds her babies father and then her baby! I really enjoyed reading about this society!
A lovely story out heroine has her eggs stolen after a year she learns she has a baby somewhere. She finds the sperm donor and together they search for their child.Violet is half magical and half lion shifter.A good read well worth buying
I'm so happy they found the l title princess in time. Wow it was so unbelievable when the FBI was telling her the story, I thought they had sinister motives behind it.
I enjoyed reading this book, it had a great storyline. Can't wait for more from this author. I'm writing this review volunteerly after receiving a FREE ARC copy of this book.
This story had potential , and I'm really sad to have to give it a bad review, but:
The writing of the story made it more about telling what's happening instead of showing I felt like I'm reading someone's diaries instead of following or seeing the story with my own eyes, which made the book boring.
The story kind of skipped all the main events or what I consider big plot points and instead summarizing them in one or two sentences
Most characters in the story were .. nah .. like I could take them or leave them And even the main characters haven't shown any distinctive characteristics to remember them by
