Rate this book
A thrilling new adventure in the Wild Ones series--perfect for fans of Warriors, Spirit Animals, and Redwall!
The wild animals of Ankle Snap Alley have been disappearing, and Kit knows exactly why: The People are animal-napping them and taking them to the zoo! Not only that, but they are at the very same zoo where Kit's mother is being held captive. So Kit decides to round up the Moonlight Brigade and lead the charge to set the Wild Ones free.
But this rescue mission might be his most difficult one yet. The Flealess and some of the zoo animals have teamed up against Kit--and the Rat King brings warnings of coming danger! Will Kit be able to set his friends and family free?
In the newest installment in the Wild Ones saga, Kit must demonstrate, once and for all, that he has the smarts and the sneakiness to win the day.

I LOVE THIS RACCOON!! And the way London both turns a phrase and a plotline. It's a shame this darling series didn't get more attention.

What a fun book! I read this with my little brother who is obsessed with animals and he gives it a thumbs up. He’s in 2nd grade but I read the book to him. Loved how the book sneaked in vocabulary words and explained them in the context of the story. Book did a great job introducing animals and explaining why another animal might not like them, ex: mongoose and snakes. Read it with your kids you’ll be entertained and you’ll both go to a magical place where animals speak and humans say blah blah blerg.

This book in the series takes the Brigade to the zoo to rescue caged animals. They learn a valuable lesson that not all animals want to be free.
Family connections are re-established for several characters near the end.

Cute story for reading to the kids. Emphasizes cunning over violence or strength. More of the same good stuff that the series has been about so far.
