This is Doctor Love, your bad boy of the airwaves.
Think you know everything about sex, love, and dating?
You don’t.
That’s why you come to me. I’ve got your answers, stalker girl. I’ve got what you need. Right here, behind this zipper. You don’t want Mister Perfect. You want me. My voice, my filthy words tonguing your ear. And I’ve been dying to give you it all. You’ve been all I can think about. And now that I know who you are, now that I know what you want, I’m going to make you fall for more than my voice on your radio. Think you can handle me?
I, Penny Morgan, professional, self-confessed good girl, wouldn’t touch you if you were the last man on earth. So what if I’m addicted to calling you? So what if you accidently caught me getting off to the sound of your voice? I never date misogynistic pigs. I don’t fall for men who try to trick me. And the last thing I want is the world in on our secret. I know who you are Doctor Love, and if the public found out I was your stalker girl it would ruin us.
Penny Morgan is an independent woman, dedicated to her career; but her dating life has taken a bit of a nose dive, her quest for Mr. Perfect going nowhere. She has her standards and late night radio host Doctor Love doesn’t even begin to meet them despite how drawn she’s become to his raunchy show.
Finn Casey is a professional counselor by day, dirty talking shock jock radio host by night. Dating hasn’t been on his radar lately either but there’s one female caller who has his attention. And then he meets the very put together and professional Penny. He’s drawn to her, but no way could she approve of his alter ego. Or could she?
“‘What a prick!...I wouldn’t touch that jerk with a ten foot pole. Never, ever, ever.…I head for the bedroom. I need to change my panties.’”
Told via Penny and Finn’s first person POV, this is a cute and sexy, light-hearted romance about what happens when Penny finds Mr. Perfect in Doctor Love, and Finn finds the woman he wants in frequent caller, Stalker Girl. Of course, it’s not that easy, but there’s plenty of dirty talking and laugh out loud moment along the way.
“‘If the cow we’re with isn’t giving milk, we’ll just look up another dairy.”
Finn is an interesting and definitely entertaining character. He’s blunt and all man, hurling suggestive and hilariously obnoxious relationship advice on the air waves…
“But I want you to know, I’ve been jacking the donkey to fantasies of you.”
…while being a perfect gentleman in the real world. Yet I never found Finn hypocritical nor did I find him stereotypical. There’s a lot of jerk manwhore heroes out there in the romance reading market and this would have been an easy story to make Finn one of them so I was so pleased when he didn’t turn out that way. It gave his character a lot more depth and development, showing how men can think one wild way but still behave in another more respectable manner. And heck, a man who can look good in both a suit as well as jeans and a Guns-n-Roses t-shirt is a man after my heart any day ;-)
This is a fun spin on a love-hate relationship scenario. While dating as one persona, the pair engages in their own brand of foreplay on air under aliases.
“I can’t believe that he gets me so hot my brain explodes like a firecracker, sparkling with graphically dirty fantasies of his cock.”
I liked the theme of public vs. private self and how both Finn and Penny needed to merge the two to find true love.
“Is there a safe zone where she doesn’t reach inside me and wrap her slender fingers around my heart, but it still feels like it beats for her?”
I’ll admit I sort-of felt that realistically Finn at least should have caught on a little sooner, and I was a bit disappointed how Penny handled some things when she did. But in the end, I liked how things worked out and the duo fit well together.
“‘I don’t think what we have here is the kind of thing you belittle with words like rammed.’”
This Radio Love is a feel-good read with no cheating and no OW/OM drama. It releases December 13th!
PS I really like this cover and the model is a great visual for Finn! :)

I'm giving this book a 4.7 I loved Penny & Finn as individual characters and then when they're together it's even better. Penny "Stalker Girl" is hooked on listening to Doctor Love even though she's against everything he says. The banter between these two is hysterical at times and I absolutely love it. Finn is such a sweetheart and he melts my heart. Throughout the story I'm yelling why... why not just come out and say how you feel. Great read and surely put a smile on my face throughout and things got nice and steamy in the mix too. Great read highly recommended. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
i really adored this book, Finn is an asshole and i wanted to shake him.. and while most of this book was it funny because its true the fact that he was being said asshole while spitting that shit made me what to punch him in the nuts grr but ... then he showed his vulnerable side and i wanted to love him and mind him after i trottled him damm so many emotions wrapped up in this book ! brilliant read and kinda reminded me a bit of the movie The ugly truth in a way so if you liked that movie you're gonna love this book ! p.s go stalk that cover model holy hotness those come to bed eyes are delish :) just saying .... it did make me cry a little too so you might wanna bring tissues if you're a softie like me <3
Would Finn be my book boyfriend Fuck yeah he is my book husband MINE #CLAIMED
„This Radio Love” is a romance written by Misty Murphy. Penny Morgan is a smart, career driven woman. She has one addiction, though - Doctor Love and his radio show. She just can’t give up engaging herself in heated conversations with an asshole on the other side. Doctor Love is crude, rough and simply obscene. He provides relationship advices with rudeness and most of the time makes people want to throat-punch him. But he has a softer side - by day he’ Finn, a relationship consular and a man who rescues Penny after her disastrous date. Complicated? Hell yeah!
I loved this book! I wasn’t able to put it down, had to read it from top to bottom. Great idea for a plot - funny and romantic at the same time. Characters were just perfect. As I’ve mentioned before, Penny was very smart woman, looking for love, but career driven and accomplished at the same time. That kind of heroine is my personal favorite. Finn as Doctor Love was a dick, a HUGE one, but he also had a point ;) Finn himself wasn’t THAT bad, he had vulnerable, more softer side. I loved both identities! All in all, this book made me smile, laugh and of course rage a bit at Love’s antics. I’d highly recommend it.
This Radio Love by Misti Murphy is a really great read. Meet Finn the "Doctor Love" and his radio show, a cynical a..h... at night and a relationship counsellor at his day job. He doesn´t date, but loves his family deeply. There is Penny Morgan, she bickers with him over month over radio. She believes in true love- he in lust. She´s a director for "Match Kiss Love" a reality romantic TV- Show; where these two have to work together. He recognizes that she is stalker girl , but she´s clueless that he is Doctor Love and keeps calling his show. When she finds out the truth she´s furios. Finn realizes what a mess he made. Can they find their HEA ? And what if it becomes public ? Mistsi Murphy is a new author to me. But I liked it very much. This book is well written and entertaining. Penny is a strong heroine with little flaws. Favorite Quote: "This radio love, this impefect love is the most perfect thing I could ever imagine sharing with anyone. I´m so glad it´s yours!" (I´m melting!!) 5 Stars and Thank you Misti Murphy !!
I've read a few Misti Murphy books and to me they are so so.....so when this one landed on my kindle I was a bit dubious if to even start it. After all there's so many books out there I don't really want to read an average book.....
But my friend Tracy was telling me this was brilliant- so I picked it up and gave it a shot.
And what I got was so different from her other works- this one blew me away
There were laughs, good characters and a decent story line.
It was a sweet lighthearted read- not too short, not too long.....almost perfect
What do you do when you fall in love with Dr Jackal and Mr. Hyde? Well that is the predicament Penny Morgan, career driven, always in control, self-confessed good girl who would never get involved with anything less than the perfect guy does.
Dr love Aka Finn Casey loves his care free night job as a DJ on a late night radio show where he can be anything but couth. The only thing that has his head spinning faster then the records is Stalker Lady. By day Finn is working on a voice over and trying to help his family. He's swarn off love that is untill Penny falls into his arms.
If your in the mood for a love story This is it... It's not dark its more falling in love with some dirty words thrown in.
Finn is "Doctor Love" - the sexy voiced radio talk show host who gives relationship advice using crude and vulgar language. Penny is his "Stalker Girl" on the show. She doesn't really stalk him but she does call in all the time. Even though she claims to hate his advice, she clearly can't get enough. Penny also is the director or producer for a realty tv show featuring people trying to find love. Finn is hired based on his reputation as a couples therapist. They meet on the set and start to date. It becomes a situation where they are both falling for the person they haven't met and for the person they are dating. The fun starts when they begin to figure it out. This is a great rom com and I will likely reread it in the future.
Well, I think I’ve added another ‘must read’ author to my list - at least for this series. Radio Love is full of coarse language (esp from the hero) so if that’s not your thing, reading this shock-jock’s thoughts is not going to make you happy.
The profane Dr. Love’s redemption is gradual, and he makes mistakes, and it all comes out right in the end. Even if he is perhaps the biggest cynic ever. So is the heroine, for that matter. It’s pretty awesome.
(And if you can guess where my review title comes from, you get a gold star)
3.5 Short review. Finn and Penny have sizzling chemistry whether it's on or off the radio. I like how the gentlemen personality and dirty talking shock jock radio personality were both Finn's true self. It made him a likable character. Penny is likable even though she was in denial about how turn on she got from her interactions with Doctor Love (Finn). I didn't like the predictable break up it would have made the book better if when Penny found out Finn was Doctor Love she laughed and said she figure it out. Especially since she had already started to suspect that they could be the same the person.
u like humor please read this, u will love it! i love humor ... i love it!! what more is life without laughs ... give me more laughs. please. u go from not knowing Misti Murphy and now i think i have read 3 books by her ... gotta make sure??! so funny ... love the cover. will read more soon. very soon!!
5 ⭐️’s!! I can’t even tell you how much I enjoyed this. It was hilarious, crude and extremely hot!! One man and two personalities. On air he’s egotistical, brass and has a give no f*#k attitude. In person, he’s hot, chivalrous, and sweet. In truth, he’s both and she doesn’t know which one gets to her more. Fantastic story!!
Okay so you know the movie, The Ugly Truth? Think of that but with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively as the main characters. The banter is golden. The layers of the main male Character are the perfect representation of how people can portray themselves differently based on their audience.
Enjoyed this sweet and funny story about love and how unconventional it can come about. Finn is a relationship counsellor by day and shock jock by night. Penny is a tv exec.
This book was amazing! It was hilarious and I loved the banter between the two characters how it went from hate to confidant and lovers. There were a few parts where it was predictable but it still made this an amazing book! Overall, funny steamy read!
The chemistry between Dr Love and Stalker Girl was explosive... While the chemistry between Finn and Penny was slow burning. I felt like I was missing stories for some of the family members, I am hoping the author will share them with us.
If you have ever seen the Ugly Truth, and loved it, you will love this. This is one of the few books that had me laughing out loud, on more than one occasion. Oh, the curious looks I got! Great read!
I loved the concept of this one! A nighttime DJ with just the right crass attitude to not only piss you off, but also turn you on. I would tune into his show!!
As with all Misti's books, I love the way she defines her characters and brings them to life. The attraction you feel towards her characters is instant and has you hanging onto every word until you reach the end.
Arc recieved for an honest review So this was a twist on the movie the ugly truth And blind date the tv show. With a few twists and turns along the way the lead male charater was almost duel personality but really he was just in between his alter ego radio persona that was larger than life and his "normal" persona i think lots of people can relate to this as lots of people hide who they are and what they would like to say against what they actually say. This was hilarious in parts and almost like a comedy farce play you weren't sure what would happen next I loved it
I submitted a request to the publisher/author to read and voluntarily review an uncorrected advance reader's copy of this book.
After starting Misti Murphy's Tangled Desires series and devouring all of her stories and characters, I have become a huge fan of all that is written by Misti Murphy! She seduces me with her words and makes me fall for her characters, drawing me into their world and leaving my heart tangled with their words and actions. I was ready and more than willing to get twisted up with her newest hero and heroine in This Radio Love. What's not to love about a velvety voice on the radio that whispers dirty nothings in your ear and a heroine that tosses all his attitude back at him, delivering bits and pieces of her own.
Penny Morgan is the director for Match, Kiss, Love reality TV show who doesn't have time for relationships and has a very serious addiction to a certain radio DJ that doles out his rude and crude advice to listeners in the wee hours of the morning. She can't seem to not only be able to stop listening to his naughty words but also can't stop calling to give him a piece of her mind when all he wants is a piece of her...you get the picture. Penny had me intrigued with her button up, neat as a pin professional life during the day and her addiction to a little dirty talk with a faceless voice and fantasies that only he can fulfill.
Finn Casey has spent his short career as the Love Doctor that is becoming more and more popular hiding behind a mic using his sensual voice to seduce and charm his listeners while giving them the cynical view on love and relationships. What he didn't expect is to become infatuated with one of his listeners who loved to call and spew hate with her mouth when all he could do is imagine much more fun things her mouth could do for him instead. Finn is a hero that you love to hate at first but he eventually grows on you in the most delicious way! He is a man who can deliver every naughty promise that he utters and he keeps things scorching hot both in the bed and on the radio waves.
Misti Murphy delivers another hit to our libido and our hearts with Penny and Finn. I highly recommend This Radio Love for a wild romp that will keep you hanging on for dear life and leave you in need of a cold beverage and a smoke in its aftermath. Misti Murphy never ceases to amaze me with her wonderful characters, entertaining stories, and her addictive steam! She is an author that should be on everyone's must read list!
This book has just become my favourite one of Misti's, it had me laughing soo much I almost pee'd it should be sponsored by Tena Lady.
Penny Morgan is a career driven strong minded woman with a guilty pleasure that comes in the form of Doctor Love a crude, rude, obscene radio host who basically speaks the truth when it comes to relationships, Penny has been calling into his show more or less nightly arguing with him regarding his opinions that and the fact she strongly believes there are perfect men out there, their views clash which causes hilarious and heated discussions over the airwaves. Finn Casey is your everyday average relationship expert but when night falls he takes on the persona of Doctor Love the vulgar, naughty, obscene relationship expert he takes call-ins and he has a favourite caller he loves to wind up who he's nicknamed Stalker Girl aka Penny the banter they have between them is hysterical I was snorting with laughter I actually felt like I was listening to a radio show, they have a love/hate relationship going on. Things become complicated when Finn rescues Penny from a disastrous date he steps in and he's the quintessential gentleman he takes her number at the end of the night but before he has the chance to call her they meet again when they find themselves working alongside each other. Queue the fun and games when Doctor Love and Stalker Girl start falling for each other as do Finn an Penny with neither at first realising they're both one and the same. Finn mucks up when after realising that Stalker Girl is infact Penny he doesn't come clean straight away and when she discovers the truth plus the fact that he knew she's furious they do however work things out in the end and get their HEA. Like I've already said this was one funny book I was almost peeing myself with laughter one minute then fanning myself down the next as Doctor Love has a filthy mouth and I liked it lol, round of applause to Misti on a fantastic book it was just the read I needed after being in a bit of a book funk.
And yes I did google 'blue vagina'.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book through 'Be My Book Boyfriend'.
This Radio Love Misti Murphy 4 filthy mouthed, gotta love him stars
I’ve pretty much loved all of Misti Murphy’s reads so I jumped into This Radio Love the 1st chance I got. This is not your normal sweet love affair. Doctor Love is a filthy mouthed, full of himself attitude and no brain to mouth filter. His secret identity takes off in the radio world, but one woman – stalker girl will mess with his head and emotions. This “man” had me hating, laughing, cursing and falling for him. As a secret alter ego, Doctor Love will fill you with the most inappropriate disgusting advice I’ve ever heard, and his ability to stay secret means his other life as a relationship counsellor stays on track.... Until he meets Penny Morgan.
Miss Penny Morgan is a straight laced TV director. She may wear stuffy suits and her hair in a bun but she is bloody good at her job, she takes pride in her match making TV program, but at night while chilling at home she can’t help but be sucked into the derogatory world of Doctor Love. She really wants to ignore him, but once again she is calling him up, calling him on his filthy crap pouring from his mouth and the wish behind finding her true love, the perfect man.
On a horrible blind date Penny, meets Finn Casey A real life good guy and gentleman. He doesn’t pressure her for sex on that 1st night, he is her perfect match. Together the pair begin a relationship based on lies and mistrust. Unbeknownst to Penny, Finn is the good doctor she cannot stand. But ignorance is bliss, and while at 1st they do not realise who the other is, when it all comes out everything explodes, and not in a good way. All of a sudden her perfect man is a lying, male chauvinistic pig, but a pig she has fallen in love with none the less.
With his career in the line, Finn/ Doctor Love will dig deep to win his woman back. After so long, he has found her and his stupid has caused her to walk away, devastated. He’ll need all of his Doctor Love knowledge to win her back... Good luck buddy, you’re going to need it.
Misti Murphy never disappoints! This Radio Love is, as always with Misti Murphy, sexy, with funny dialogue and awesome characters. Finn is a shock jock, amongst other things, who dispenses his own dirty brand of relationship advice on satellite radio. Penny is a career woman who directs a reality tv show. She's been listening to, and calling into, Doctor Love's radio show for the past 6 months. Even though she rants and raves at him, tells herself she despises him, she just cannot stop herself from calling in and letting herself get turned on (secretly) by his filthy mouth while wishing she could just find a good man to love, who will love her back.
Then she goes on a date that goes wrong and finds herself being rescued by a sweet guy named Finn. She really likes him and hopes he'll call her so they can go on a proper date. Lo and behold, before he can call her, they find themselves meeting on the set of her reality show when her boss tells her he'll be dispensing advice to the contestants. When they find themselves in a relationship, she knows he's the perfect guy for her: sweet, sexy and a good guy all around. But, in the back of her mind, she's still in lust with Doctor Love, even though he drives her absolutely nuts. You just know how badly their relationship is going to end when she finds out he's really Doctor Love, but along the way, they fall for each other and it's so sweet, and sexy that they just can't help themselves.
Finn is an interesting character. On one hand, he's sweet and kind and great to Penny. On the other hand, he's dirty, crude and more than a little rude. He's also really private and doesn't talk much about himself, either on air, or in person to Penny. Penny is sweet and funny, one of those great heroines that women all over would love to be friends with because she's smart and strong and sweet. Together the two are perfect together.
My absolute favorite part is the epilogue, though. It's a perfect ending to their relationship.
I absolutely love this authors work and this book is no exception.
We meet Penny Morgan who is a strong, very independent, career driven woman. Penny has been listening to a radio show in the early hours present by a present who calls himself Doctor Love and he's blunt, alpha male he can also be very lewd and obnoxious as he hands out relationship advice to his listeners. He winds Penny up and more often than not she will end up calling his radio show to give him a piece of her mind. You cant help but feel sorry for Penny all she wants is to be loved by a man that loves her just as much. Penny's love life lately has been non existent and as for looking Mr Perfect she would have better looking for the needle in a haystack.
Penny finds herself going on a date that goes so wrong and finds herself being rescued by a sweet guy named Finn.
Step forward counsellor during the day Finn Casey but by night fall his alter ego comes out to play and he becomes Doctor Love on the radio. He can be whoever he wants to be as he's over the airwaves. The last thing he expected was a irate caller phoning him on the airwaves to give him exactly a piece of her mind. Finn is soon wondering what this mysterious caller looks like and knows there is no chance of them meeting.
After Penny's disastrous date she finds herself really liking Finn and finds herself hoping that he'll call her so they can go on a proper date. Before Finn can even call her, they find themselves meeting on a set of the reality show she works for when her boss tells her he'll be dispensing advice to the contestants.
Penny and Finn click right away and soon find themselves in a relationship, she knows he's the perfect guy for her: sweet, sexy, a good guy all around and meets her standards .But,she's still in lust with Doctor Love, even though he drives her absolutely crazy. What will Penny think when she realises that Dr Love is in fact her man Finn?
Penny is a buttoned up director for a reality show called March Kiss Love. Finn is a relationship counselor with an alter ego, radio shock jock Doctor Love. Penny listens to the Doctor Love show and calls in often to yell at him. A chance meeting at a restaurant where Penny is having an awful date and Finn rescues her have both reeling. The next time they meet is on the set of the reality show, with Finn doing voice over explanations and the sparks are still there. But then there's Doctor Love, and as much as Penny wants to say she hates him she is drawn to him. Doctor Love is crass, opinionated and loves his chats with Stalker Girl, as he has dubbed Penny(but he doesn't know it's Penny). The two are so intertwined in ways neither fully know, but when the truth is revealed about both of them Penny runs. When Finn will stop at nothing, including an on air apology as Doctor Love, brings them back together and has both of their true identities revealed. The aftermath brings them closer together when they weather the storm together. This was such an awesome read from Misti Murphy! Finn/Doctor Love is a love to hate, but still love character and Penny/Stalker Girl is the perfect match! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I absolutely loved this book - a lighthearted romance that was funny, sexy and had great banter between the two main characters that had me laughing out loud!
Finn is a loveable, kindhearted guy, although his alter-ego Doctor Love is dirty-talking, sometimes crass and as blunt and straight-talking as they come.
Penny aka Stalker Girl is a really likeable character who has had her fair share of dating disasters but believes she will find her one true love out there. She is strong minded and opinionated and can't help herself feom calling in to Doctor Love 's radio show to put him in his place. Their interactions are often hilarious and you will find yourself grinning while reading.
This is a real feelgood story that will leave you with a smile on your face.
