3.5 Nasty Little Tease Stars ⭐
It's not often you read a book and enjoy it more the second time. If you need festive, panty melting goodness with a sprinkle of romance, Caught for the Holidays fits the bill.
I love that this novella isn't what you think. Yes it contains a stalker who waits for his prey to be asleep before he ravishes her, but the story unfolds into so much more. It will satisfy both the hopeless romantics and just us dirty gals...
My digits slide in slowly - she's too tight.
I press my mouth to her temple. "Quiet, remember?"
It was nasty of me, going straight in with three, but then, she's a nasty girl.
Did I mention that it's sizzling? I need Amber Bardan to come out of retirement because I love all her books and this was no exception. I dunno I could've used an additional 100 pages as this was too short and I just need more of these two!

This was a very short reunion story that starts off with what is seemingly elements of dubious consent. I was extremely concerned at one point.
It was NOT LOOKING GOOD!
I knew it could not be too bad however, as another reviewer warned me about this.
So, I continue to read and I was pleasantly surprised to see the whole picture.
I WAS SO RELIVED!
To summarize, this is a short erotic story that was just about perfect. I enjoyed it and find it very HOT And sweet.
A very light read between more engaging books.
It's NOT AMAZING but it's PRETTY GOOD.
I would recommend it to those who enjoy the shorties.

Wow! This was actually more than I expected...a hot, little smutty read but also sweet. While there was no real depth to the characters since it was so short I honestly felt their love.

The beginning of the book geniusly made you question whether this was really a lighthearted, Xmas novella or something more sordid. Happy to confirm that it IS a safe, smutty and sexy romance, full of gooey cheese and smut! Just what the doctor ordered for Jewelsy :)
Told only in the hero's POV and is super-dooper short (ending at 52%). It wasn't really a book that had me gagging for more, so no tantrum was thrown when there wasn't an epilogue.

To say I’m obsessed is like calling the sun lukewarm. Nothing else matters, now I’m here. She’s going to make everything better.
When the story first started, I was like, OH NO! But I immediately/completely shifted into AWW! + ME-LIKEY!

This was great surprise for this holiday novella...my first read by this author, And Wow...started reading it, then I couldn't put it down! Smokin HOT, intriguing storyline, Matthew is obsessed with Libby! (But all is not what it seems) you will have to read it for yourself to find out...and you won't be disappointed!

I am not going to lie about what I felt when I began to read this book. I was like WTF does this guy think he is doing and thinking I was not going to like it. Thank goodness it was just the author being very clever with some mind trickery!

I was privileged enough to receive a copy of the short story for review purposes. Thank you, Sexy Santa, for delivering me this amazingly, hawt shortie that got me all horn-- err... Never mind.
So, this is a forced seduction story, which is basically a dark erotic tale of rough, juicy persuasion. Honestly, if a big, sexy, aroused alpha male came into my room, tied me to the bed post, and talked of f#*king me until I'm blind with pleasure, I dunno if I'd kick him out...
While the sex and the suspense of the tale is delicious, it's the twist that really pulled at my heart strings. Well done, Amber. Another amaze-tits story I will be fantasizing over the next few months. Mr. Hart will be quite grateful to Ms. Bardan, as well.
All that naughtiness to say that this short story is worth the 45 minutes it takes to read. Wish it were longer. I'd have given if 5 stars if there were more of the suspenseful, filthy, intense seduction. I'm a sucker for dark erotica.

Ummmm wow!!!! This book was not what I was expecting. It's definitely not a sweet Christmas read. Nope. It's a delicious, dirty and a little depraved and I loved it!!!! If you're looking for an alternative to the usual happy reads at this time of year definitely check this one out.

Amber A Bardan is a new to me author and just from this little Christmas quick read she's gained another fan. I loved her style of writing in this book it flowed seamlessly and kept me turning page after page to see where this read was going and i Freaking Loved It. The warning is there in the blurb for a reason when this book starts it will have you looking at the front cover again wondering have you got two different books as you'll think you're reading what seems to be a Dark Read which i know isn't to everyones taste. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE continue reading because all isn't what it seems!!
Matthew is completely obsessed with Libby to the point where he will risk everything for one look at her.He's not much of a talker and prefers to let his actions speak for him and WOW he does that in such a spectacular way. And that's all you're getting from me as this is a MUST READ and i'm not going to spoil giving away details.
Like i said all is not what it seems and i can guarantee by the end you will have fell in love with this Little Sexy Christmas Read ;-)

I freaking loved this book! This is the first I've read by this author but it definitely won't be my last. It was incredibly hot and had a nice twist at the end. Can't say too much without giving anything away! 100% safe!

Super quick-smutty-insta Christmas read which involved a stalker and forced seduction scenario..until the twist midway (which I totally expected due to having read similar plots in AR, and yes JS books in the past).
What was unexpected was the emphasis given to a back story after the kinky part was over-which is rare in such books- and I totally applaud the author for that.
Overall, it was a good book and moderately hot.

Que dire de cette nouvelle à part qu’elle est vraiment déconcertante ? Le résumé nous parle d’une chose et la réalité est quelque peu différente… mais je n’en dirais pas plus afin d’éviter les spoils. Toujours est-il que le début (qui est en gros le résumé) m’a parfois gêné et pourtant on a envie d’aller jusqu’au bout, d’avoir le fin mot de l’histoire et voir si nos théories sont avérées.
Pendant un peu plus de la moitié de l’histoire, les personnages n’ont pas de prénoms, et pourtant on suit tout d’un point de vue personnel et à la première personne. C’est l’homme rendu fou par une femme qui l’a subjugué qui raconte cette rencontre sensuelle et assez malsaine. Il l’épie, il fantasme sur elle, puis il décide de passer à l’acte, d’aller chez elle et la garder rien que pour lui. Son point de vue est assez étrange et fascinant à la fois avec son obsession extrême pour l’objet de son désir.
Parlons justement de la demoiselle en question. Je trouve que pour une personne prise au dépourvue et qui se retrouve face à un « inconnu », elle prend les choses assez bien. Elle est excitée et lui obéit en tout point. On ne peut s’empêcher alors d’imaginer les théories les plus folles : Se connaissent-ils ? Sont-ils d’anciens amants ? Est-ce un jeu pervers ?
Amber Bardan flirte sur le bord du fil de bout en bout de la courte histoire dont la romance tarde à apparaître, tout comme l’ambiance spécifique à Noël. L’érotisme est plus que présent, l’atmosphère lourde et inhabituelle est bien développée et la conclusion est assez inattendue. I wasn’t really sure where this story was going and you don’t get the entire grand scheme of things until you hit about the end. I wish there was more of that in the middle or at least a hint towards things weren’t as they seemed. I think maybe I would have given it more stars if I knew while I was reading what I know now that I have turned the last page.
Matt tends to appear as a creeper and it sets the stage for a somewhat uncomfortable read if you don’t like the wacked out character. In truth it isn’t really what he is but again you might put it down before you get to the end. Therefore Im encouraging you to continue on if you do click it up. Its not your sweet and charming holiday read so if you want a little more dark to you Christmas Cheer then this one is for you.

This was my first ever read by Amber A Bardan and I"m not sure WHAT I was thinking...I must have had my head in a snowbank or something.
While short and sweet it's also so very hot.
