I wasn't too sure what to expect with this particular book as what had grabbed me was the cover, it is a particularly interesting artistic cover. The book started with the introduction of Luc and his twin sisters chasing down the destruction that their brother Donald had caused. We learn that Luc and his siblings are all half-siblings that share the same father - Lucifer. On the other side of the spectrum, we have Shiloh and Faith who have been brought up in very conservative and straight-laced Christian homes. They have been raised to follow the rules and have the beliefs that woman are to obey men and are vessels for raising children. One thing leads to another and Shiloh, and Faith meet Luc and his twin sisters Blanche and Blair. Over time Faith starts to change and develops feelings for Blanche and Blair - so much that she goes full-on changing and chucks everything she ever knew out the window as with Blanche and Blair by her side, Faith is finally free from her caged existence. Shiloh, however, is still reluctant to let go of her family and what she has been taught. So much that she has even endured horrible dates with Christian whom her father wants her to marry. Eventually, though Shiloh starts to let go of her family's reins especially after her last interaction left her physically abused by her father. But will it be fast enough as Luc has troubles on his side as Donald is getting more powerful and will stop at nothing to have Luc killed and destroyed? In a way, I found that I related to this book as my family upbringing was similar to Shiloh's but not in the extremes of hers though. I am now looking forward to reading the next two books in this series.

This is the first book I have had the pleasure of reading by these two authors. What I love about a good co-write is how well the story flows to the point of not knowing which author wrote what. And these two did just that. It was great. The characters were fun and witty and so full of life. It made reading this book easy and very enjoyable. There was no real big plot twist but that made how easy going this book was even more chill. It was very refreshing in dialogue. Way Down Below was simply amazing.

I actually am writing this at 94% done. This story is... wow. Just wow.
I have to admit this is not the first book I've read from these two authors. I love their writing. These two complement each other's work so well, you can hardly tell it's written by more than one person.
This story is an amazing love story, but so much more. It's about overcoming your surrounding and becoming your own person. It's about breaking the barriers on the 'norm' of ones society and saying to hell with what others expect. It's about sticking up for yourself and not becoming another victim. Letting others defend you when your not able, and sticking up for those you love, even if you lack the ability to offer real results.
There are so many messages in this story, I wonder if it was done intentionally or if it was by happy accident while just telling a really great tale.
I love this story so much I've already purchased the next in the series, but I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

My Five Star Review of: “Way Down Below” Book one
This was a fun story to read and envision. The characters were enjoyable and had lots of depth. The dialogue was unique and refreshing and shown an excellent collaboration of two different authors. The two main characters are both young teens being raised by parents to be god fearing, do as they are told and marry who they are told basically. All this control rubs wrong and the chance to rebel shows itself in many ways. The other shoe that drops are the devils children living in the close nit town with these two young teenage girls. These devils children are not all bad, in fact these siblings are a lot like today’s youth. Free will, living life and questioning everything. So the sibling shenanigans are worth every paragraph of reading. Freedom from a life chosen for us is the story here. To be free to make our own decisions in our lives. The devils children are extremely likable and reflect on the main characters with love, learning, faith and freedom. This is a comedy with a strong message. This is a story of what can happen when a family or person tries too hard to snuff out or control the children they are raising by using religion, fear and loss of freedom as a control factor. I laughed a lot. Heck I cried a few times. Frustration and wonder were also key feelings. This was an enjoyable love story that I enjoyed watching unfold. An epic read that I look forward to revisiting when I need a good laugh or when I need sibling rivalry and byplay to help make me see past my mundane life I live.

This was a fun book to read. For the most part, the characters read like they were supposed to; meaning they acted, talked, and lived like new adults do in real life. They weren't looking for any real deep meaning in life. There was no intense save-the-world-prophecy they needed to fulfill. They were just kids, acting like kids. This book is like any YA/NA book with kids who must stand up to oppressive adults, however, these authors added a fun twist by creating three of the characters to be the children of Satan and two of the characters to be daughters of ultra-conservative religious families. I think the authors did a good job presenting the battle of church vs. evil without banging it over the reader's head.

The fast paced plot drew me in from the beginning and pushed me to see how it ended. I liked the dialog and character development of all the characters, both major and minor. If I had any complaints about the book it would be the final battle ended way too fast.

Hell Hath no Fury like the Devil's Son

I was intrigued by this book from the moment I read the synopsis. Shiloh is raised in a household that reminded me a lot of how I grew up (somewhat, not as stifling), so I could easily relate to her. Luc, one of the Devil's many offspring, is the kind of guy you'd want to reacue you from an arranged marriage and spousal slavery. Dark, handsome, entertaining, and not afraid to get his hands dirty if the occasion calls for it. The storyline is fantastic and, as always, Nicole Thorn and Sarah Hall didn't disappoint. These two are a truly dynamic duo and I look forward to reading more of their work.

Way Down Below by Sarah Hall and Nicole Thorn

Genre: Horror/Fantasy

About the book: Shiloh is a typical sheltered Christian girl. At 20 her father has found a husband for her. But she meets Luc and is immediately drawn to him. The catch? He is Lucifer's son.

Review: I enjoyed this book was a bitI would love to read the other books in the series.

When I first began this story, I was unsure if I would finish it. It begins with 2 teenage girls and the hardships of living with over the top religious parents.

But like most, I love to read about a bad boy. Who could be that bad in a book like this? Well, the span of the devil, Luc sure fits the bill. He is dangerous, funny, and just a bit naughty.

Once Luc and his siblings join the story I was hooked. The antics begin and the characters start to come alive.

Stay with this book through the first chapter or two. You're sure to get hooked like I did.

What a great book! I enjoyed it very much. I had a lot of rules growing up so I understand about that. New authors for me, I was not disappointed in the work. I enjoyed the story and the characters are compelling. I enjoyed the little moments, I call them, They are rare in books where you laugh or cry or smile. Not many books can all that but this book was a great laugh and smile book for me. *This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.*

**** 4 Cranky Stars ****

I have discovered another new author and enjoyed reading her book. It was refreshing in that it wasn’t like all of the other books out there. It's not an ordinary love story, far from it. It's humorous and full of shenanigans, that the Devil’s Adult Children do on a daily basis. The practical jokes, temptations, and sins they offer to others seem harmless and fun. You see a side of these antichrist that most of us don't ever think about.

Luc and his twin sisters Blanche and Blair have been looking for the person who killed their brother, Jonah. These antichrists are aggravated because the killer is playing with them. They get close to him but can't catch him.

Luc and his sisters are the sires of the devil and can't sit still. While Luc decides that he's bored and goes out into the world to see what trouble he can find. He meets Shiloh whose family is deeply religious and surround themselves with others like them.

Shiloh has a hard time accepting the way her family and their church members live. She wants to break free from the stronghold her father has over her. Her best friend Faith feels the same way. Shiloh and Faith talk about running away so they don't have to face the future their parents have planned for them. Shiloh stands up for what she wants but her fear keeps her from going any further.

Until, Luc ‘s charms, charisma, and mischievous nature draws Shiloh to him like a moth to a burning light. Luc has skeletons in his closet that he hides from Shiloh. He doesn't know if she can handle the truth. As you read this book, it will make you laugh, smile, and shake your head at the things that happen in it.

I think the Author could have taken a little more time and given us some more back ground information on Luc’s family. There were a few parts in the book where I felt a little lost. It wasn't enough to keep me from enjoying this book. I am looking forward to reading more from this Author.

The premise of the story is quite interesting: The spawn of Satan live among us as trouble making teenagers and are hunting their rogue sibling. In between hunting, they take up with 2 young ladies who live under the strict thumb of their extremely conservative and extremely religious families. Worlds collide and the story unfolds. There's romance, friendship, and some real coming-of - age stuff involved.

I would advise that this probably isn't for younger or middle grade teens and definitely not a Children's book as there are some adult themes being dealt with. I'm giving this book a 3 out of 5 stars. The premise is interesting and the cover is gorgeous, but I had trouble connecting with the characters. I felt they lacked depth and were only 2 dimensional. With that being said, I do feel that younger readers (15-25) may connect better. ( I'm in my 30's so I may be a tad too cynical) I do appreciate all the hard work that goes into creating a story and I don't give ratings willy-nilly.
