Anthony Hunt is expert at the first two, but his track record is poor on the third. A recent top-of-the-class culinary school graduate, he owns one of the hottest, trendy food trucks in town. Impressed by Anthony’s good looks and appeal to the camera in a losing cause on a TV competition show, New York producers are looking to sign him for a food truck reality show. The only catch...they want him to have a personal life as appealing as his body and face.
Bryan Pierce is a rising young executive. He loves his success and he loves food, but he’s never really loved a man. He has plenty of experience in bed and on dates, but he has set aside relationship entanglements as a casualty of the corporate climb...for now.
One taste of the seductive, spicy shrimp from Anthony’s truck the Pampered Prawn is all that Bryan needs to want to know more about the chef...much more. Bryan is also just the kind of man that would look great on camera at Anthony’s side. It’s a romance of convenience that works like a charm...until real love intervenes.
I’ve been in a reading slump for the last month. As a result, I’m reading only books by my favorite authors. DeClan Rhodes certainly falls into that category.
My only complaint about this book was it was too short. I felt like the ending was a little rushed. I wanted to have a better resolution of the fight between Leo and Anthony. The jealousy was such a sudden change in attitude that it took me by surprise. I still loved the story and would welcome a sequel.

It's very rare for me to find m/m books that I enjoy reading, but I found Anthony and Bryan a very fun and entertaining read.
Anthony has a love for food he wants to share with the world. But to get his name out there he needs to have a personal romantic aspect to his food.
Bryan has dedicated 7 years to Smithview. But he's been passed over for every promotion because he doesn't have the family life the company is looking to promote.
What starts as a relationship of convenience soon turns into a jumble mess when jobs and jealous friends start getting into the mix. Will Anthony and Bryan be able to find a way to meet in the middle with their 2 busy jobs and beat their records of terrible relationships?
3 ⭐️ = Good Tags: Easy to read, moderately steamy, uncomplicated, no angst, no suspense, no drama, standalone. Pro: This is a straightforward, decently written novel. The author provides a detailed narration about MCs' daily lives and the timeline of their love story. The narrative is not dull but not exciting either. Contra: I was missing an insight into MCs' emotions and thoughts, which would give context, relevance, and depth to their story. The depiction of the characters is too vague and makes them unrelatable. The plot is very linear, without twists or turns that would add some tension or drama to the storyline. This book might appeal to fans of uncomplicated novels with linear, smooth plots, no angst, suspense, or profound emotions.
The plot was simple, the food descriptions were luscious, and the secondary characters acted right. After a painful day visiting veterans, I found the story was healing, easy on the imagination, and very satisfying. I had no ability to deal with intense convoluted drama today.
My only complaint: now I’m dying to try my hand at some shrimp recipes right now this very minute!
Two gorgeous men fake dating but not fake dating. One things for sure, reading this will make you hungry. A cozy, shortish tale, very little angst involved, just food and love. I always enjoy stories set around food and chefs, this was very pleasant but I had two tiny beefs, I didn't quite like how quickly Anthony gave up on Leo, and the rather abrupt ending.
I've read this author before, but this book is definitely my favorite so far. Loved the characters and their chemistry together. Highly recommended. ** I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. **
Dnf about 60% skimmed to 80% gave up. Not very keen on Anthony and seems to have forgotten about his friend and business partner Leo. Which seems quite wanky considering Anthony wouldn't have a food truck without Leo. I didn't finish it so maybe it's al resolved
I received this copy from Hidden Gems in exchange for an honest review. Let's go :D
The Review
I’m in love with Order Up! This romance was so delightful and cozy! It was exactly what I was looking for – and OMG the food! I wish I could eat all the cool dishes that Declan mentions, haha! Honestly, this book just didn’t make for the big five because of some quite unbelievable ~bed moments~, because all the rest is perfect <3
I’ll try to keep this review short and sweet, just like Order Up was. Don’t go in expecting an awesome complex plot, don’t walk in expecting to see oh-so deep characters. Anthony and Bryan are pretty boys next door trying to fix themselves up on life and there is no mystery in that. I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting some twists, but it’s nothing breathtaking. This book was meant to be enjoyed as a lovely and sweet romance between two cute guys with a lot of good food involved.
I’ll just say why not five stars: a) some important loose ends on the plot; b) some pretty unbelievable moments on the plot; c) I was highly bothered by Bryan and Anthony first ~sexual~ encounter, per say; d) I'm not the biggest fan of this cover. Nothing major, as I still loved it, but well, not perfect.
If you’re looking for a short book to read in a couple hours and fill your heart with warmth and happiness, or if you are a gay romance lover like I am, just pick Order Up! It will be worthy of your time <3
My first read by Declan Rhodes and I absolutely liked it . "Order Up" is a quick , sweet , sexy and spicy delicious read and by "spicy and delicious" I "m not only talking about the food !!! I really enjoyed getting to know Bryan and Anthony's story in this well written , simple and endearing book . Overall it"s an unusual but great sexy story and it"s sweet as well . Can you get much better than that when you're into M/M romance ? voluntarily reviewd an advanced reader copy
Declan Rhodes has always been one to touch my fancy with his HOT, sexy, and romantic stories of MM love. The storyline was strong. The characters are well developed. These two men have their own career paths that intertwined at the outside food truck, The Pampered Prawn, Anthony Hunt is a chef that can turn shrimp and any food into something incredible. But relationships are not his forte. On their opening day he spots a devastatingly handsome man in a suit in line for lunch. They lock eyes and that was all it took. Bryan is an executive in the building next door and he's looking for a man. He feels a man would even help him climb the corporate ladder. Anthony invites Bryan back after closing and their meeting Is explosive. Sex is definitely one thing Anthony is good at, not to mention Bryan. They set up a first date which goes well and it's only a beginning. Both thinking that their relationship could mutually benefit their careers, one of convenience. Little did they know that true love would get in the way changing their lives forever. A great read. ❤️

This a sweet, somewhat sexy quick read. The story is good clear and concise. It flows and makes sense through the whole book. The writing style is good and grammar and spelling are free from major mistakes. The Mcs were sweet and believable. The relationship developed quite slowly in such a short book but was sweet and angst free. The twist of them both using each other to progress was good. I don't like prologues sharing a chapter or insight into the book so this list slight marks in that respect. I enjoy books by this author though and will be looking out for more.
I received a free review copy of this book. Anthony is a chef whose dream is to have his own restaurant. As good as he is with food, he is bad with relationships. However, this changes when he meets Bryan. Bryan is a hard-worker executive who is not getting any promotion due to the lack of family life. Another sweet romance by Declan Rhodes. He is good writing about food and for me is the most interesting of his books by now, maybe because I’m not very fan of sports but I like food and cooking. A good reading, a sweet, funny and interesting story to enjoy. Just a piece of advice: don’t read it while on a diet.
My first book with a chef as main character: the setup is interesting and all the details about the preparation of food nice, both Anthony and Bryan are lovely characters, but I couldn't connect with either of them. I felt like they weren't fleshed out enough to make them apart sometimes. Since this is the second time it happened with one of Rhodes' books, I'm thinking it's my problem with his writing: it's good, but it doesn't engage me. DNF at 50%. I'm giving 3 stars because I could have finished it, it is a nice read, just not for me.
A sweet MM romance with the added bonus of food...
I loved the setting of the food truck and The Pampered Prawn was inspired.
There were laugh out loud moments and tender moments. The relationship between Anthony and Bryan developed at a believable pace and they were both well written characters.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the first Declan Rhodes story I've read.

Antony and Bryan have incredible chemistry together! I thought Leo was completely inconsiderate the way he left things dangling with Anthony. (I had to re-word what I really thought.) If you're looking for a spicy m/m read, this one is it, sizzling hot! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
I really enjoyed this story. It was well written with nicely developed characters. This is my first time reading this author and I was very impressed. I will be reading more.
