I just finished this last novella in the series last night. I haven't written reviews for the others, deciding to review them together. It helps that this is my favorite of the books. I'm sad to be left hanging where we are but I can't wait for the next in the series.
Keep in mind these are my personal feelings and thoughts. I'm not a professional writer, just an avid reader.
Series Pros:
Well written AND edited. Nothing irritates me more then when a book is published to the public with atrocious spelling and grammar that shouldn't make it past spell check much less an editor or proofreader.

It's clean. While I have no issue with cussing, nor an issue with nudity or sex. This series boasts zero sex scenes and very, very few actual cuss words.

Well researched. I love people/authors that research the religions and/or political terms, climate, etc before using them,

It's funny. Enough said. Levity is important to me in the series I read.

Cons:
The premise is familiar, as in most Witch Cozies are the same somehow, yet claim they're different. Kinda like vanilla ice cream and vanilla bean ice cream are different.

It's flow is off. Things that should take time to get through, do not. Things that should take a paragraph, take a page. In the end, you're left questioning how or why something happened or didn't.

Coffee
Effing damned coffee. Coffee in books, especially mysteries but focused in paranormal or cozy, is so much a part of these books it should be listed as a character.
This is my very own, personal con that I do not expect others to agree with. I just am over the coffee thing. Why not wine? Tea? Milk?

Anyway, overall I liked this series quite a bit. I'll probably re-read it if and/or when the next in the series is released.

I am completely addicted to this series. There is humor, mystery, lots of magic, history and love stories! What's not to love. You really get to know and understand the characters, I find them to be very well developed. This is a series where you just can't wait for the next book even knowing that will bring you closer to the dreaded "end of the series". I wholeheartedly recommend this series of book to everyone who enjoys magical mystery love story (stories) that will occasionally make you laugh out loud.

Perfect Christmas story or was it?

It was a perfect Christmas type story. Jinx is still funny, loveable, reunited with her brother Connor. Tori and Gemma have started a new life. Jinx 's love interest between Chase and Jordan is more tangled than before and where will it and. As for the veil Wizard Chesterfield, who knows? The story goes on and there is not a clue to when the next installment comes out of the name of the book. This is my problem with Series...the dang waiting.

"Christmas in the Valley: A Jinx Hamilton / Shevington Novella" was written by Juliette Harper. Jinx and her friends get to visit Shevington for Christmas for the first time for most of them. It is a nice pause from the overall story arch of the series. There are a few new things that the characters learn, while at the same time Jinx is now officially a member of the love triangle club. If you like the "Jinx Hamilton Series" then you'll love this novella.

A sweet story and something of a tearjerker

I only gave this a four star rating because it wasn't a mystery or suspense tale. A nice, maybe too nice peek into the private family life of the main characters, it is the same quality of storytelling as the main books in the series. A good read still.

Witch is most enchanting.

Superb story telling, great plots, a tingle of sex, wonderful characters. I cannot say enough good things about the author and this series. It is obvious the author is a scholar, because the research reflects many hours of study. Read this series. You will not be disappointed.

Still 👍

What can I say! I love the story and it's people. I know you will love them also! Start at the beginning in book one. You can read any of the books and still enjoy them. But to get the full flavour start one.

Really good

A short Christmas novella featuring Jinx, Tori and the gang. New loves and old, forgiveness, New life, and further clues in the ongoing mystery.

Fun but too short. It filled in some referenced events in the books.

I was disappointed by this novella. It was largely made up of text directly lifted from the longer novels.

Joyful Christmas

Oh what fun to have a Jinx Christmas story, sleigh ride and all! It is sensitively written and tender in places and all out funny in others. I especially loved the Tree Destruction segment in the werecat bar. This is a lady who definitely knows cats, lol. In fact if I didn't know better, I'd think she was hiding out watching my cats last Christmas!
If you are a Jinx fan, don't miss this one!

This novella was a sweet addition to the Jinx Hamilton Mystery series. No mystery but a sweet family. Christmas for all the char Characters in the previous 6 books that have come together to fight evil and protect the Far mound. Loved this celebration of family and the holiday.

Oaky read

With this story you would have to have read the previous stories. So I was a little confused. It was okay.

I really enjoyed this fun little look into Christmas in Shevington. It was nice to see the characters have fun and not be in some kind of trouble. I'm liking Lucas, I'm hoping this goes somewhere!
