Melanie Tomlin was born in Beeston, England. At the age of three her family moved to suburban Melbourne, Australia, where she has lived ever since. When she was twelve her parents bought her a typewriter, and she wrote her first novel that very same year. She still has the typewriter, which is somewhat worse for wear, but that first manuscript is now nothing but a distant memory.

Her first published book, Angel's Kiss, was released in 2015. The next four instalments in the 'Angel Series' -- Angel's Curse, Angel's Messiah, Angel's Body and Angel's Demon -- were released over the next three years.

For a change of pace, and something a little different, Melanie also published a book of poetry called Twisted Poems of a Warped Mind and a children's picture book called Lucy Vampoosy: The Little Vampire Dog.

Melanie is currently working on the sixth book in the 'Angel Series' -- Angel's Apocalypse.

Helena finds that those closest to her do not know her as well as she thought. Danny and Drake do not cover themselves in glory in this book and it is heartbreaking to see Helena try to connect with them to no avail. She suffers greatly and fights against a formidable foe for her existence. I didn't like this book at first but only because I hated what was happening to Helena and didn't want her to suffer any more than she already has but it was a fantastic story. I have been drawn into every book in this series by excellent storytelling and intricately woven plots and I recommend that you read the series in order for maximum understanding and enjoyment.

Angel’s Body—the fourth installment of Angel Series—is another thrilling novel that would make your soul shatter— a story full of forgiveness, love that has been lost and butterflies—lots of butterflies that will make you cry.

The Angel Body, unlike the first three books, had a different approach in it. The story had shed some little story regarding Drake and Danny, their past and their common ground. The story would make you lose your patience, gritting your teeth as you turn the pages, yearning for more answer as the story unravels more information.

While reading, you’ll feel a strange sadness deep inside your heart, like you are a lost puppy that finds its way back home, only to find there’s another puppy that had replaced you in your righteous place. Yup, heartbreakingly bitter. But that was how life is about, right? Life is full of unfairness, and only a few people like Danizriel have faith.

There is a new character that will be introduced in the book—her name is Amy. Who is she? What is she? Well, the only thing I can say about her is she got a big and important role in this book—I advised everyone to go and grab a copy of this book to know who really she is and how can she affects the lives of Helena, Danny, and Drake.

**This review was based on an early copy of the book and the opinions are solely my own.**

*Note: if you've not read any of the Angel series, this is NOT the book to begin the story with! I recommend reading the series in order (Angel's Kiss is the first) - you'll get way more out of it that way!*

So. I've read the whole series within few weeks, and I have to confess, this was my least favorite book in the series. It wasn't bad, don't get me wrong. It was well written, with nice grammar so it was easy to read.

It was just not to my liking, and many times while reading it I was frustrated, annoyed and even repulsed because of the way the main characters behaved/reacted (or didn't behave/react).

Also, this book felt a bit...I don't know...disconnected, maybe? Out-of-this-world? Definitely Helena's reactions (and Dannys, too) were a bit too mellow and unrealistic to my liking.

SPOILER WARNING--- ---END OF SPOILER WARNING

So. My thoughts about this book are quite divided. I like the general idea and the storyline of the series. I like Helena and Danny (and Drake too, and Gina). I like the grammar and the way to book has been written, it's easy to read. And I like learning new things about this world and more about the characters (we did get some nice tidbits of those in this book too). But I really didn't like the (unnecessary) cruelty and unrealistic psychological reactions of the characters in this book.

I will definitely continue reading the upcoming releases of the series...but I hope they'll be more like the first three books in the series.

This is the fourth book in the Angel series. I have read all of them and enjoyed them. However, this one, not so much. This story felt like it could be a side story/novella type thing and not a whole book in the series. I almost stopped reading it, but for whatever reason I continued.

SPOILER
There is a part in this book where Amy is in control of Helena's body and ties up a mother and naked father and then kills their children in front of them and then rapes the father. (I want to throw up just typing that) It was descriptive and disgusting. This is not the only instance of rape in this book either. The entire book was just Amy in Helena's body going around causing destruction in the world. I just didn't really enjoy this book. There will be another book and I will try to continue the series, I just hope it doesn't go in this same direction.

This is the story of Helena, a Vampire / Earth Bound Angel, married to her greatest love Danizrel, now also an Earth Bound Angel, because of there one kiss and now there love for each other everything has changed. They had a beautiful daughter Gina who later was murdered trying to help the homeless.

Helena is distraught by this and takes time out to go to every place Gina visited, when she finaly goes to a lake in the amazon she discovers many souls that are in wait to possess someone, but going there she gets possessed herself and this demon is not a very nice one at all. Amy who is inhabiting Helena's body now was once together with Danizrel and the parted not amicably. So Amy now decides she is going to do what she wants with Helena's body and takes her through the worst experiences and Helena is stuck not being able to stop any of it.

This story was very slow to start, but when it did get there we discovered more things that Helena could do and which helped her survive the possession.

I have really enjoyed this series. This book was a tough one for me emotionally. I feel like Helena is a good friend and I had a hard time during some parts of the possession chapters. I love the start and ending and look forward to the next book. This review was based on an early copy of the book and the opinions are solely my own.

I was given an arc of this book from the author in exchange of an honest review.
Melanie Tomlin never cease to amaze me. After three great instalments before this one, I could have never imagined what else is there that could be told and to be honest, I was quite worried that it would feel stretched. But nope. You can trust Melanie Tomlin to bring you a great new exciting adventure in each and every one of her novels, and Angel’s Body did not exempt.

Helena and Danizriel are in for another adventure! topping off the usual routine of kicking ass and hot romance like the previous instalments, Helena is now possessed by a demon. Used as a medium to bring chaos towards the mortal world, she had to get the full control of her body back.

I swear this may be the closest thing to horror novels that I’ve been (the paranormal and ghost novels I’ve read was mostly focusing towards romance instead of exorcism), being the scaredy cat that I am, and if not for the author’s intriguing writing style to push me forward, I would probably already close the book in fright the first time someone mentioned “possession.” But it doesn't stop me from loving the plot (yes I might be crazy for saying that when under possession, Helena was nothing but gruesome. But I'm just glad they got through it). And the characters, and the writing style. One chapter and you’re gone. great previous instalments had set the bars high and I’m just really glad that this book does not disappoint.

Overall, YES. I am recommending this book to all paranormal fiction readers out there, although you should probably pick up the previous books first to understand what’s going on.

I own the three previous books in this series and loved them all. I received a copy of this, the 4th installment of the series, in exchange for my honest review.

Let me start by saying Melanie Tomlin created an amazing world for this series and filled it with wonderful characters. Her prose is delightful and Melanie is one of my favourite authors.

She succeeds where so many authors fail. The goal of every fiction writer is to put the reader inside the mind of their protagonist and have them experience every emotion the character feels. Melanie achieves that goal with ease. It is such a delight to read a book where you feel everything the character experiences.

Great job Melanie.

This review was based on an early copy of the book and the opinions are solely my own.' And in my opinion this is hands down in my top 5 series! I read ALOT as I'm disabled especially in winter so I'd like to think I've read enough to have a good sense of whether or not an author is truly talented or just entertaining and Melanie Tomlin is truly talented! This book surprised me with its plot that carried a plot that brought in secondary and even just mentioned characters from previous books in a truly spine tingling way! Just when Helena thought no one would ever make her do anything against her will she's proven wrong in the worst way. This book brings back the tolerated if not loved Drake, ever loving Danny, sinful and cruel Satan along with a few others you'll remember . While reading all the books is best the author does a great job of telling enough back story to catch up a new reader in a way readers of previous books won't roll their eyes at! Be ready to laugh, gasp, sigh and yes get teary eyed because this series brings it all !!!

Another good story! Number four in the Angel series.
A very unique twist on a demonic possession. I applaud the author on fantastic character development. The story flowed effortlessly no matter the turmoil the words were conveying.
The acts of violence by the demon were horrendous at best...and yet, I was still captivated and remained hopeful for a different, better outcome.
Well done, Melanie Tomlin....Well done

Amazing, torturous, nailbiting

Once again Miss Tomlin writing style drags me in and keeps me captive. The story was another roller coaster of emotions and I couldn't believe what was happening. Helena is a character you love yet want to strangle at times for her craziness. I'm in LOVE with this series!

The best one of the series so far. Full of surprises. This one manages to maintain a nice balance between dark and hopeful optimism. Well written, constructed, characters well developed. Love this series.
