What a sexy and perfect read! This is a soul meets soul on lovers’ lips. It's a heartwarming, swoony and sexy as hell,sizzling hot with perfection book to read! Isadora Montrose does it again with another super emotional but a perfect combo! Of course it's a roller coaster ride of pure emotion and through its short it a fast well paced but beautifully written book that features Diana Lowry and Pierce D’Angelo.
Diana is a BBW that's a nurse, she felt that leaving the town where her ex husband had been sent to prison for being a meth dealer, this gave her a fresh start in Arizona, she got her dream job, a nice apartment, friends and she is definitely not looking for a man after being married to a domestic bully. Plus she is no way going to like not a handsome, take-charge guy Alpha Male like Pierce D’Angelo.
Pierce D’Angelo is one of wealty Texas D’Angelos they are Phoenix Shifters who serve in the Air Forces, Pierce is also a decorated hero who is in Special Forces. When Pierce see Diana at the gym he immediately knows she is his mate. First of all, I absolutely enjoyed this series. When I started to read this book, I knew it guaranteed to be a phenomenal ride. Of course Phoenix Ablaze hit it right out the park ! I know I probably say this every time I finish one of Isadora Montrose books, but I have enjoyed all of her books so much and this series is just as awesome What can I say? It's Diana and Pierce’s story, but this books gives us a bigger picture especially because it shows the reader how far these men will go and what they’re willing to do for their mate . The dialogue between Diana and Pierce isn’t all serious but the shifters loves to rib each other and their dialogue has a lot of humor. It's makes a great story that's s otherwise so incredibly passionate read. I enjoyed the fact that this book more than anything highlighted the importance of the shifters mate. Their attraction is undeniable, but he had to be her protector as well. But as usual Isadora Montrose manages to write this short story in a way that makes it feels authentic to the lifestyle and the book's plot. I enjoyed the fact that as usual the book is so blazing hot it's off the chart and nothing in the Phoenix Ablaze that is written for just the shock value. I expect there will be a bigger blaze throughout the Alpha Phoenix Shifter series, which is something that keeps me looking forward to the next book. Overall, the Phoenix Ablaze is a hit for me, and I’m looking forward to the next one. Let the waiting embark on my impatience. I highly recommend this book and the series.

Wow this story is sizzling red hot, she had me hooked from the beginning well actually the Phoenix Aglow sucked me in and then the beginning of this one held me tight. Plus her characters are just phenomenal and I love how they interact with each other. I definitely recommend this Must Read Book/Series.
Major Pierce D’Angelo of the Texas D’Angelos, he is also Lincoln D’Angelo’s baby brother. Yes a family of Phoenix Shifter, who were all in the Air Force one time or another plus Pierce is in the Special Forces. Hurt on his last mission, they put him on medical leave, he needed to see a therapist for his PTSD which he was doing but it was slow and BOARING!! Trying to keep a routine up he's at the family cabin that has some acreage his dad bought his young family, all the little phoenix's could fly freely, the town's people in Window Rock, Arizona never had a clue. Pierce was going to the gym, same time every day to see her. He hasn't talk to her yet but he knows. He can't believe how lucky he is to find her.
Diana Lowry is a nurse who came to this little town to have a second chance, she needed that second chance. Escaping from her ex-husband with her life was a miracle, he was cruel, abusive and used her for every penney she had. Than her ex-Cody Jones was arrested and sent to Florence Federal Prison. The best day and new start of her life. Her life was one of happiness and peace, she had a couple of secrets that she didn't tell anybody but she knew she was going to be an old spinster. She kept seeing him almost everyday at the coffee shop, or the gym, he was hot a gift from the God's. He was so handsome Diana knew he wouldn't look twice at a BBW, no he wouldn't look at her let alone date her.

This is a great series, in this book we read the story of Lincoln D'Angelo's baby brother Pierce only Pierce is not exactly a baby.
Major Pierce D'Angelo of the USAF never expected to be shot down, when his phoenix emerges in order to save his friend and fellow pilot, he is left broken. Now he lingers in self loathing for what he could not achieve, what he has lost. But the good side of things is that he has finally seen his fated mate, although she is a mere human and does not recognize it. She is in danger from a snake, a snake shifter and he must keep her safe even if it's from afar. He does not know how to tell Diane what he really is, but in a moment of danger to his mate, the unthinkable happens to him and the truth comes out. Will Diane forget her past and come to terms with what she sees with her own eyes, or is she going to push away what she deems impossible and not give them, or herself a chance at love.
I love the different magic in these Phoenix shifters, especially their mating ritual.

Now he is stateside and going through physical therapy to regain his former conditioning. At the gym he notices Diana and realizes that she is his mate. Now he has to find a way to approach human Diane and start a relationship without scaring her off.
Diana is a nurse who recently got out of an abusive marriage. She is not ready for a dominant man or any man. However Pierce is very tempting. She also doesn't realize that she is being stalked by a serial rapist.

Pierce is a phoenix shifter who is determined to get his mate. He was in the military and in rehabilitation from an injury when he sees her and knows she is meant for him. It would be a lot easier if she was a phoenix too. He has to court her but not come off as a stalker. Diana had an abusive marriage and has very low self-esteem. It is hard for her to believe any man is interested in her much less someone rich and gorgeous. I really enjoyed watching him court her and give her the love she deserved. The singing part of the courtship was so sweet and romantic to me. Their is a less sweet part to the story about a rapist who uses his shape-shifting abilities to get into their homes. The author switches to his POV during some scenes and it is disturbing to hear his thoughts.

I really enjoyed this book, it is the start of a great new shifter series by Isadora Montrose. Pierce D'Angelo is good looking, rich, an Air Force hero and a Phoenix Shifter who gets wounded in action and is diagnosed with PTSD and is doomed to take a desk job. He takes leave to recuperate at his family's holiday retreat in the Arizona mountains. Nurse Diana Lowry who has made a fresh start following a failed marriage to a bully. She has a dream job, a nice apartment and good friends and she's not looking for a man, but she can't help but notice Pierce as he works out in the gym, Pierce knows she's his mate and has work to keep her safe from a vicious snake shifter hired by her ex husband who's in jail. I won't tell you any more as I hate when reviewer tell you too much and spoil it for new reader.

This is an amazing story which I thoroughly enjoyed reading, it drew me in from the first page and kept me captivated until the last page was turned. What you will find in this book is: a pilot and phoenix shifter who was shot down and injured (Pierce D'Angelo), a nurse who has just come out of an abusive marriage (Diana Lowry), drama, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, humor, action, danger, various shifters, a stalker, romance, lust, love, emotional feelings and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written and keeps the reader’s attention. The characters are well developed with personalities and moods suited to the situations they find themselves in. This is a well written Phoenix Shifter Romance with a beautiful heartwarming HEA.

He was in the special forces but was hurt and now on medical leave so he can get back in shape. He is a shape shifter. I love how this book comes together with all the uppers and downs. I look forward to reading more from Isadora Montrose from this series Alpha Phoenix #1 and some of her other books. I do think you will enjoy the story, it is a page turner. ...and gah! How long til the next one?! Drama is human but not dragged out or over-emo'd. (Not sure if "emo'd" is an actual phrase, but it should be, and Montrose took a subject she could have emo'd the Twinkies out of and chose not to, and I appreciate her reticence as it didn't detract from the story.) Satisfying ending, only a tiny possible cliff, which might actually enable the next book if I were betting, not enough to detract from the warm squishies this book leaves your heart in.

This is a great start to the series. I haven't read many phoenix shifter books, but I loved this one! I also really enjoyed the elements of crime and mystery that were mixed into the plot. There was plenty of romance and steam as well. But I love a book that can bridge my two favorite genres of mystery and romance.
I can't wait to read the next one in the series and hope to see more of Pierce and Diana in later books.

Pierce had been on medical leave after the crash and had found his mate. He was trying to find away to get to know her but she is human so he has to take it slow as not to come off as crazy. Diana had started a new life for herself after her ex was put away. Now a handsome man was taking notice of her could she follow heart or should she run to save herself the hurt. Great continuation to the series with a great story of love with a little action thrown in to add to the read. Looking forwards to the next book.

Pierce D’Angelo heads to his family compound to heal from PTSD but he never expected to come across his mate. Diana Lowry was starting over but that did not include the sexy Pierce. Problem is Diana is in danger and Pierce makes it his job to protect her no matter what.

She kept her head together
Pierce is alone in his head a lot since his last mission went wrong so he focuses on a nurse he longs to see everyday. Diana has her own skeletons she's overcoming and it doesn't hurt to be very attracted to the hot guy that stares at her. It's almost cute the way these two seem to skirt around one another until Pierce pulls up his pants and asks her for coffee. From then on its a whirlwind right up until the end which is kind of a cliffhanger.

I received a free book and voluntarily chose to review it. Since I read Book 1, I want to mention I enjoyed the first book and was looking forward to another interesting book. The author did not disappoint me. I did enjoy the main male character using Presidents’ names instead of bad language. This book has romance and suspense with different characters.

I loved it! The story was wonderful and exciting. The suspense was thrilling. It was so sexy and hot to! I would recommend this book to everyone who loves a great story and shape shifters! You won't be disappointed at all!

I voluntarily read this advanced readers copy. I love how the author can keep my attention from start to finish. The story has an interesting twist on shifters as I have not read too many stories about phoenixes. I really hope there will be more stories in this series.

Much better!
Yes, much better than the first book. Just enough suspense and action it kept me reading until I finished. Still a little short for me, but all the necessary details were there for the story to flow. Now I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

This was a good book. Great characters, written well, suspense, some action, emotions, strength and courage, and a good ending. I would like to read more in this series. It will pull you in, but doesn't drown you. Great for anytime. Enjoy!

It was just ok
I enjoyed the storyline. Unfortunately there were many things I just didn't like. A man in the military using the language he did in this book was just off among other things.
