Feeling Some Type of Way

Rate this book
Every girl has that one thing she will not do. No matter how hard times get. No matter how little money she has. No matter what…there is that one thing she will refuse to do. Ian Ferguson was that for me. Working for one of the world’s most eligible billionaires taught me many I can tell the difference between BCBG and Balenciaga. I know how much mileage I can put into my Jimmy Choos before I have to get another pair. I know when Ian was in a good mood and when I should get the hell out of dodge. Working for Ian also taught me…I can’t separate my personal feelings from our professional relationship. Lady luck and a killer bod was on my side, though. Amateur night at the local strip club taught Ian I was no longer the desperate college student he met a few years ago, but a grown-ass woman with grown-ass needs. And honestly, I think he already knew that but never acted on it. I just hope this experiment is worth the effort from both of us. He’s got me feeling some type of way…

I love Vera's work and this one too is a pleaser to a degree. Here, I found this story good but not great, compared to her other work. Englishman meets African American gal, get their very slow mojo on. It is an intro for 'Bad and Bougie'. Storyline good yet not one of Vera's strong books. Don't do spoiler, so read for yourself and express your feelings. Guys, don't get me wrong, totally enjoy work by Vera, she gives pizazz, quirky lines, hot hot sex scenes and I can go on. Just not a 5 star for this one. Enjoy.

Loved it

I just discovered this author and I can’t believe I have never read her books. This was such a beautiful and well written love ❤️ story. Ian and Domi were such a wonderful couple! I just bought the second book and can’t wait to see how their story ends

Not up to par.

It was a "cute" book; but compared to her other books, I find this book lacking. The storyline was a little childish to my taste.

Ian

I asked for this. I felt Ian and Domi had so much chemistry. Ian was the guy I loved to hate in the Breakaway series. I didn't want him coming in between Sydney and Dean but I get the dynamic more now. While Domi was a little immature in parts, she brought out a sensitivity in Ian that was needed. He was totally different with her. He was a swag king otherwise. I just hated it wasn't longer... Vera Roberts is one of my faves and she never disappoints me.

I received this an ARC. My review is honest and true.

Loved it...

What a beautiful love story. Vera Roberts has a way with words that will have you up all night trying to savory the experience of her works, have you looking at your man with the side eye of he doesn't treat you the way her shoes do and make you fall in love with her heroines like they are your closest kin. Great story, I hated it had to end and I hope we get to see more of this couple they have some unfinished business.

Rollercoaster ride

Wow, great support, great characters, great chemistry between the main characters. Though, there were a few times I wanted to just toss the hero, he's did come through. I think the story is worth the read.
