Now I am ready to the road of my success!!!

Apparently, I read the series backwards. I’ve read the Book 3: Success is Inevitable first, followed by the Book 2: Crush Your Limita, then lastly this Book 1: Why You Fail Where Others Succeed. I guess it doesn’t matter. I will just go back to my highlights and notes. Ready to finish the Ultimate Guide in Goal Setting and finally enjoy the process, the setbacks, and the small and big wins! Thank you for another great creation, Thibaut!!!

Succeeding

I gave this e-book 5 stars because it made a lot of sense to me and made me realize a few things about myself and my subconscious self.
Wish it was longer and more detailed!

He has cobbled together a whole lot of different strategies into what is a pretty readable summary. With links to articles, research, and handouts.
The five tips are these:
Your Current «Reality» is Never Reality and Can Always be Changed
Your Thoughts Never Define Who You Are and Who You Can Become
Your Definition of Success is All that Matters
You are Responsible for Everything in Your Life
You Can Turn Your Dreams into Goals With the Power of Goal Setting

Admittedly we don’t even know what a ‘thought’ is, but we do know that your brain runs along channels. So if you are constantly having negative, or limiting thoughts, you need to notice it, and cut that shit out.
Your subconscious mind has no critical thinking skills and has no way to tell whether what you are telling him is in your interest or not. If you repeat something to your subconscious mind enough times, it will eventually believe it. That’s why you have to be extremely careful about the way you talk to yourself.

The brain is constantly learning; give it some new channels to trundle down.

Do you know what the difference between pessimistic and optimistic people is? It’s simply their focus. In your daily life, you can always identify an infinite number of negative things, but you can also identify an unlimited number of positive things. Being pessimistic or being optimistic is a choice. Every day we are creating our reality by choosing what to focus on.

So true.
So in theory, if you can try to focus more on the positive things, you will be more optimistic. This is where things like thinking that you are lucky OR writing down things that happened to you or that you are grateful for, help you to do this.

I can't believe I kicked off 2024 with such a meaningful and good book.

I got this book on Amazon on a promotional season, so it was completely free. I thought this book was just for casual reading but the more I got into it, the more it made me ponder life.

"Your reality is not the true reality".

We all see things differently.

At first, I thought it was because everyone experiences different events in the past so they have different views.

But then I realized that even with the same experiences, people's perspectives can be worlds apart.

Why?

"You can only grasp a tiny part of reality and it's the part you choose to focus your attention on".

Spot on. How we focus on, think about, and react to stuff is what gives us our unique take on life.

Take it in simpler terms:

An investor tries leverage in crypto, loses money.
Choice time: 1) get bummed and quit or 2) take it as a lesson to up the investing game.

Another example:

News sites exist to keep us in the loop. But if they provide normal news, it's very boring, so they constantly play on our fears. Watching that non-stop makes the world seem worse. It gives us a completely skewed and negative view.

Why you fail? It's all about your choices! Every day we face loads of ups and downs. But whether it turns positive or negative is totally UP TO YOU!

...

This is a self-help book, with some content that is a bit general, like the author presenting methods to overcome problems. I get it, no one-size-fits-all. So, I'm not too strict about the advice in the book.

My favorite part? The author breaks down our daily struggles and how our assumptions puts a cap on our abilities.

A short book but contains a lot of useful information. I find it more valuable than longer books from other authors who spend hundreds of pages repeating their points.

Understanding the Secret of Success

This free book is jam packed with explanations, tips and strategies on success and how to achieve it. Of course it must be applied actively and not consumed passively to be of any use for the reader. --- There is so much information and detail in this short book it deserves to be read many times over to appreciate its depth and fullness of coverage. The language is simple and to the point. Thibaut introduces many ideas and sage advice from many authors who embody the notion of "success". This is one of the best books on success and personal development I have read. I am amazed it is free!

Clarity achieved

I have lost my motivation to continue fighting for my goals, recently. This book brought some clarity and helped me rethink my plan, modify the goals to suit me NOW, as in time my priorities have changed. Rather than seeing myself as a failure that I don't follow the goals I have set, this book opened my eyes and reminded me that it is OK to change, but it is important to carry on and chase those dreams!

I recommend this read to anyone wanting tk increase their productivity!

Removing Fear of Failure

I liked this book very much. I have been reading books on self-improvement in order to remove my own short comings. But this book addressed a particular aspect. For fear of failure, I did not take initiative in several fields. The way this aspect has been dealt with in the book has given me a lot of courage and hope. I thank the author.

Quick Read but Informative

This ebook focuses on our mindset, goals or lack there of, how ,we see ourselves in the world and how we can change it. I enjoyed the read and it was very motivational. It is a book that promotes self examination and change. I will re-read it because there were a lot of gems.

It is very helpful if one applies the information.

Better Than Expected

Often, books of this type are very superficial and platitudinous. Not this one. Action steps, process, things to think about. The secret is you don’t fail as often as you think. Good quick read.

Overall a good reminder of how powerful we can be if we choose to be. Also, how reality is really not as real as we think.
Short easy read, 1 sitting easily BUT I recommend taking some time. There are some powerful thoughts in there.

A very good read. My only problem with it is the book is only 75% of the length of the book. The remaining 25% is a preview for another one of his books.
