This book was wonderful. So much better than the last two books that I read. Wishbone and Sam both have a mystery to solve in this book. Sam of who stole the Bulldog Mascot from the backseat of a locked car. Wishbone has to figure how to get Wanda to see who's really eating up her flowers because it's not him. I'll add more to the review later, but defiantly give this a read it's worth it.

Wishbone was everything to me as a kid. I blame him for my reading of many, many classics.

This was a super fun little mystery. Sam is the focus character and she does a great job acting as our main sleuth. I love that the kids take a scientific type approach to what may or may not be possible. Also love the appearance of Wanda the wacky next door neighbor, though I wish she'd stop blaming Wishbone for everything! I did think that Wishbone's little side mystery fell a little flat but it was fine. These hold up pretty well considering they were written in the 90's.

I'm definitely looking to collect more of these and the other Wishbone series from the thrift. They're a super fun time. :)

This was a fun mystery, and I liked that the book frequently referred to author John Dickson Carr. This is a great way to encourage kids to branch out and read new and more challenging books.
