Rate this book

It’s a well known fact that this approach is time tested and true. It has been pointed out on numerous occasions that real estate was the source of the accumulation of great wealth in this country.

The downside to Buy and Hold is the intensive management issues involved –skills outside the skill set of many investors. Let’s face it, not everyone has the ability or interest in managing property.

There are landlord/tenant issues, the challenge of finding good tenants, servicing their needs, property upkeep, just to name a few. These can be time-intensive and stressful for the investor, but are essential for ensuring continued cash flow.

If mitigated by getting the required mindset and education, legal documents, hiring a competent property management company, etc., long term real estate ownership this strategy can be profitable and satisfying with excellent tax benefits .

One of the purposes for the Oregon Real Estate Investment Network is to help inform and find solutions to these issues. Simply understand that there is risk.
