Beginning Golf

Rate this book
While you or your child may not be the next golf superstar, you can both master the fundamentals, improve your skills, and instill a love of the game that will last a lifetime. A famed instructor of PGA and LPGA tour stars and everyday players shares expert, basic instruction for those just starting out, as well as some advanced tips for people who have played for a long time but need help--all in a building-block approach. The first step is to have good equipment that "fits." Move on to the full swing, sand play, the short game, trouble shots, and etiquette. Find out how to cut strokes from your score quickly. Take it to the next level and learn about the misconceptions of golf, course management, and even tournament play. Don't forget about such essentials as practice drills, training aids, and physical conditioning. There's a special chapter devoted exclusively to teaching youngsters how to play. Bruce Curtis lives in Roslyn Heights, NY, and Jay Morelli lives in West Dover, VT. 96 pages (all in color), 8 x 10.
