This collection consists of one hundred poems and ten short stories, which give a glance into the infinite possibilities of human emotion. C. Dougherty writes with her heart on her sleeve, and does not shy from touching upon a variety of both light and dark content. I am a poetess and goddess (self-proclaimed and ordained). My creative breath flows in the pages of the wonderful books I read, as I love to admire the craft of others. I also have been blessed with the opportunity to pen a few myself. I am in love with all things involving the written language from grammar, mechanics, diction, and origin. I hunger to learn new words and structures of poetry and prose. I have recently begun delving in flash fiction and am struggling with finishing a full length novel. I have written for as long as I can remember, books are my friends and at one point they were my only friends. I was so severely introverted, and if not for loving, caring friends that helped me grow in social spheres I would still be alone, not lonely. One of my proudest days as a child was the day I received my first library card, I was ecstatic. As an adult I went to University for my Bachelors with a major in English and a minor in History. I have been teaching high school English for almost ten years, and am recently published. As an indie author I survive on the love of readers and sincere reviews.
