"You are not what someone else did to you, you are better, you are a clear calming sky" This collection of poetry is human to the bone, it speaks of human emotions and reactions, sometimes to events that I cannot connect with but other times to things that resonate with me so whole heartedly its shocking.

This book was self published by Mckayala Debonis and for a first poetry collection I believe this is a great start. It tells the tales of her life & really lets you connect with her as more than just a reader, and I can't wait for her second book.

Honesty is my policy even with reviews where I receive the book from an author ( as is such this review ) so I will be honest in saying that there were some grammatical errors that could halt the writing a bit, however it didn't cause such an issue to stop me reading or to force me to DNF this book.

I feel like if you have had heartbreak or gone through any hard times in your life, that you will connect with this book, you might even find solace in it & I know a few of the poems in this will be carried with me for a long time, amazing work Mckayala
