Mental Strength : Condition Your Mind, Achieve Your Goals

Rate this book
Many people have dreams they would like to realise and things about their lives that they would like to change. Relatively few have the mental strength to break outside their comfort zone and take the steps needed. Fear, self-doubt, lack of confidence, or simply being overawed by the tasks ahead can stop you from achieving your true potential. This guide shows how to develop your mind and push past the obstacles that stand between you and your goals.

Not a great book. It has some good pointers in it, although you would've heard most of them unless you're completely new to "mental strength training". The author seems to make a point and then repeat it in different manners, probably to flesh out the word count. It's a drag to read. There are examples of self-help type of books that are informative, creative and entertaining, like Deep Work and Atomic Habits. Unfortunately, this book did not reach the mark.

I could take it or leave it.
It's a short little book full of common sense.
It outlines the SMART system of making goals.
Don't be surprised if there's nothing new in the book you haven't already heard.

Clearing out my Audible purchases, but this is one I'll keep. Incredibly concise, but packed full of practical theoretical advice on behavior change. A solid one to go back to for refreshers, often.

i read this book sometime back and i didnt liked it because his writing i find not exactly what i will call engaging. secondly ideas presented by him were too familiar so all the more reason for this book to produce on me a sleep inducing effect
