Freddy is still in the clutches of the alien kidnapers and things are heating up. The human race goes to war to help a benevolent race that has been helping us since before written knowledge. We are now at war with a race that is looking at destroying everything in its path and Earth is directly in the way. Freddy helps in every way he can but at a cost that nearly drives him insane. Then his love gets kidnapped and viciously taken away. She is in a deadly trap and only a miracle can save her.
John Ricks was born in Longview, Washington, and moved thirteen times before he finished middle school. After graduating high school he joined the Navy, where he spent twenty more years traveling the world, meeting new and astonishing people. His degrees, extensive reading, and traveling have helped him see all life in a wonderfully different way. He developed a great sense of fantasy, and his children were always amazed with the stories he could tell.
This entire series is fun to read, especially for a teenage boy. I am anxiously awaiting the fourth book in the series. The reason I gave the series four stars is that the plot is not as complex nor the char.acters as morally ambiguous as a great book like the Harry Potter series
It's a disappointment that this series is not all formatted to Kindle. To read books 2&4 you have to buy paper back. Would love to finish the series but I don't have room for more paper backs and I hate reading out of sequence. It's a shame. Love the way this is laid out.
This book took me so long to read because I did not like one single thing about it. First, why do these characters, particularly Susan and Freddy, feel the need to think out loud so often? There are paragraphs of just them talking to themselves out loud. This was so irritating. Also, the synopsis says Freddy's love gets kidnapped but that didn't even happen until more than halfway through the novel. And it wasn't even a main part of the story. That whole conflict was only maybe two chapters at most. But then of course that was because there were about 10 different conflicts in this book and they all were resolved in the span of a chapter. Literally Susan would say, "We have a problem," and Freddy would immediately come up with a solution. But when you make your hero a super genius who's also telekinetic, telepathic, a teleporter, and a healer, of course he can get out of any jam. Lastly, the young girls in this novel were treated so poorly. Poor Tammy didn't get to stick around long because her ability was literally just to make men attracted to her and the fact that so many men craved her attention was such a problem she was sent away. Mind you, this wasn't her fault and yet she was punished for it. Then you have Becky who's only in this book twice and each time her purpose is attached to Freddy. She literally has no other plot points. Finally poor Julia is the president of Freddy's fan club but he and Susan treat her like the gum on the bottom of their shoe. I'm so glad I'm finally done with this novel and I definitely won't be continuing the series.
I have read the other books and impatiently waited for this one. Hint don't take so long to get the next one out. I turned of my phone and read it as fast as I could. I enjoyed it and highly recommended the series
I really like this series.........are you going to ever finish it? I've been patiently waiting for the next book in the series. But my patients is running out.
