Tammy Seley Elliott was born in Coffeyville, Kansas in 1960, later living in several towns and states, setting the stage for a life on the move. It could be argued that her less than conventional upbringing fueled her love of writing and reading; they were constants in an otherwise chaotic world. One thing she knew for sure was that she wanted to write books when she grew up.

She joined the United States Air Force at the age of twenty-one. Life in the service provided a new kind of stability and launched her onto an extended detour from the road to becoming a novelist. The journey was welcome, however, offering irreplaceable experiences which made it well worth the wait. She retired in 2011 and set to work on her first novel, The Unlikely Savior, Part I of the Unlikely Savior Trilogy, in 2012, completing it the same year. Her second novel, Billet-Doux from a Dead Prisoner, Part II of the Unlikely Savior Trilogy, was published in December, 2016.

Her sons, Joey and Sam, are grown now and Tammy lives on the the side of a mountain in St Maries, Idaho with her husband Mike on what they call their "No-Drama-Zone" off an unpaved logging road. They share their home with their dogs and have a prominently displayed sign on the front door welcoming friends and family, but asking all to please check their religion and politics at the door! Tolerance, faith and love, however, are welcome.

Finding the Window -- Part III of the Unlikely Savior Trilogy is projected for release in 2020.

All veterans are our saviors. Hopefully, knowing what she knows now about her past, she can make a new start on a relationship with her mother, she can open up more to others and continue the relationships she has started, and build more into her circle of trusted friends. Though I did see another "miracle" in her future, not sure her new found news was what I expected. Anxiously looking forward to reading part II in this trilogy.

I loved this book! It had me intriquei from the start. A no nonsense military soldier who finds herself immersed in experiences she has no frame of reference for and then is carried forward on a journey that seems preordained. I love a story that makes me think, question the reality I know, and stretches my mind in new directions. This one has it all.

The Unlikely Savior by Tammy Seley Elliott is one of the best books I have ever read. This book was riveting from the first paragraph, and I could hardly wait to get back to it, whenever I laid it down.
I loved the way the characters and different situations that came together in a wonderful ending, which made everything make sense.
This book left me wanting more, and I will look forward to reading future novels.

Sort of between okay and liked it, so rounded this up to a 3 star. Enjoyed the first half/ two thirds of this, interesting premise, good characterization but unfortunately the coincidences kept piling up to the extent that even for fantasy/paranormal I found it increasingly difficult. At some point, my stretch of the imagination just simply quit stretching. I did finish the book, but at that point I kept shaking my head while I was reading.

I read this book when it first came out. Although, at that time, the editing could have been better, the story is phenomenal! I don't usually read books about the paranormal but the story sucked me in. I couldn't put it down. I would suggest reading the subsequent edition as more editing has been done but the great story is still there. Can't wait to see what comes next from this new author!

NOT a high handed bible thumping religious novel. (thank goodness) The writing took a bit to get into but once I did it was wonderful. Very much looking forward to book 2.

A timely novel that leaves the reader wanting more--luckily it's the first book of the trilogy--and hoping there is at least one unlikely savior out there.

Not bad. Could have used some more editing. A little jumpy in places and had to flip back and make sure I hadn't missed something. Interesting concept.
