It gave me a sense of 'I've read this in a way vendor's it was okay but I really hate spoiled princesses still act like they are better then someone beneath her.

Maria D’Orazio is the daughter of a crime boss, she lives in the family home and has no freedom. Jasper Daniels is a member of a gang, they hire out for security and a % is funnelled back into the gang. He has a one week assignment, body guard to Maria D’Orazio. He thinks she is the typical mafia princess until he see another side of her, she wants freedom. Away from her controlling father and security that comes with being the daughter of a crime boss. Jasper has feeling for her, but with who her father is and the gang, drama, action and darkness this is a great read.

Maria is a mafia princess, and Jasper is a member of Stiches, a brotherhood of bodyguards. Maria's father hires Jasper to be her bodyguard, and things get heated up between them. I liked the story, but I thought Maria was a brat, and even later, towards the end, she's still somewhat of a brat. I found it hard to like her character. I did feel bad though, for the way her dad controlled her life. Jasper was not expecting to fall for Maria, but he didn't know what to do with these feelings she brought out in him. I just wasn't into her for some reason. Jasper had it rough, but he found a home with the Stiches. He felt guilty for spending so much time with Maria, and he tried to balance out his time more, but he wasn't that nice about it either. It was good, but I would've liked some more likeable characters. Steaminess was good, and there were some surprise moments.

I was gifted this book as an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review,,,, Maria is the daughter of a crime family boss; she appears to be a spoilt princess but appearances can be deceiving and when Jasper Daniels is employed to protect her he soon learns that her life is anything but perfect.... This is a romantic thriller with a strong, sexy bodyguard who will do anything to protect his charge and there is an imminent threat that demands all his attention and lethal skills.....

Written in dual POV this is a classic mafia story with a beautiful woman and a protective man who find themselves thrown together when her family comes under threat... a thrilling and at times dark and sexy read....

HANDS OFF

This was an enjoyable read, with a intriguing storyline. The characters were very likable to a point, although I liked Maria she was very brattish. You do feel bad for her, even though she grew up in luxury her father was very controlling and the older she got the more freedom she lost. That is until she meets her new bodyguard, Jasper is a really nice guy but his had a tough life. He doesn't like Maria much at first, but as he gets to know her he realises there is much more under the surface than he first thought. As they get to know each other, the more they like what they see, unfortunately trouble isn't far behind.

I received this book in advance for an honest review. At first I was confused about who's perspective the chapters were in but once I got it the book flowed nicely. Bodyguard, Jasper, is hired to be one-on-one bodyguard for a mob boss's daughter. Little does he know Maria wants out of her father's control and criminal activities. Thinking she's a spoiled, entitled princess he has an instant dislike of her. Soon he sees other sides and they each feel a strong attraction. Loving and protecting her becomes a choice of loyalty. Danger, sex, and heartache. Good read.

I really enjoy the mafia romances. This one has the daughter of the mob boss who lives a sheltered life finding some real excitement with her bad boy bodyguard. They really have intense chemistry. He did not expect to like her and discovers that he really wants to protect her. There is a lot of action in the story and it makes for a fast-paced read.

She is supposed to be off limits to Jasper, but he knows it won't stay that way. This is a fast action-packed read. It is very dark at times but a very enjoyable read.
