After a car accident, seventeen year old Steve Carlton, goes into a coma. When he does wake up a few months later, he suffers from temporary memory loss. During this time, he starts to go through his messages and voicemails on his cellphone, trying to get a clue of who he used to be.
Voicemails sent to him from a girl called Ari might have the answers to his questions.

Please don't take my 3.5 rating on 100 Voicemails that this was a bad book. It really wasn't. I've never been a fan of short stories, I should have known by the fact the story is told in voice mails from Ari to Steve (Who has just woken up from being in a coma for 5 months).
Jeez , I really was looking for a lighter book you know? After reading the last one and knowing I needed to take my mind off of personal stuff I wanted something I could get lost in. 100 Voicemails is heart breaking, truly heart wrenching.
Eugh, so yeah I could have given this 4 stars but I'm not a fan of books that take me 30 minutes to read ;) However, if you do want something that will cause a lump in your throat and a tear or few to fall - then 100 Voicemails is for you (And its free on Wattpad).
For me this book was not as quick of a read that I was hoping; however, it wasn't a bad read, it just was hard to get into.. For how short it was, it really took me a while to read it. I was sad about what happened and kind of wished it had gone differently as what 100 Voicemails... it just seemed unrealistic to me. I think I set my bar to high for this book and I let my self be disappointed. It is an okay book that I am sure many people, who enjoy short stories like this more than myself.
In "100 Voicemails" a boy who has been in a coma for years wakes up with no memory of who he is. He lays in the hospital with no idea who he was and what to do. He finds that his phone has 100 voicemails on it from a girl named Ari. He listens to each one and the readers get to hear them in short, easy to fly through, chapters with the occasional commentary on them from the main character himself. As time goes on and he listens to more of them he longs for the girlfriend he had in a previous time, wishing to be with her as he listens to the heartwrenchingly realistic tale of his girlfriend and how her life falls apart and spirals out of control all because of him.
With the tragically realistic ending to this beautiful and sad tale, "100 Voicemails" was a quick and easy read with a memorable story and ending that made many (including myself) cry. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone as it provides an interesting insight on one girl's life and how a loss affected it.
Beautiful, tragic, memorable, "100 Voicemails" is worth the short time it took to read.
My little brother told me about this book because of the new book that I'm writing on Wattpad. He said that it is almost like how I'm writing mine and I would love this book. So I gave it a shot and I read it today. My god, that was so heartbreaking. Can't wait to see what other books you have. I loved it!!
I’m sorry but I didn’t like this book at all 😭 I only read it bc I saw people on tiktok saying it’ll break your heart but I didn’t even bat an eye while reading 🧍🏻♂️I didn’t like the writing style either…it felt like a middle schooler wrote the story. The idea was good and the potential was there, it was just badly executed.
ok i read this on wattpad to procrastinate the other book i’m reading and honestly i’m so surprised that i actually teared up over this with the length and the way it’s told. wasn’t even the voicemail parts but the damn epilogue at the end murdered me
I had no idea where this book would go when I decided to read it today. It was very short and I expected so much more. I thought the plot and the idea behind this book was very good but that's it. I didn't think it had enough detail and emotion to deserve good ratings. However, I give it 3 stars because I did cry finally at the epilogue. I did sympathize with Steve, but Ari's character wasn't very good. There was an effort but in my eyes it wasn't enough to show hurt, frustration and everything Ari was dealing with.
“Hi sweetie. I’m here now…..but I’m late. I’m so sorry, I’m so goddamn sorry for being late”
I saw this on Madita’s page and I also felt this need to cry so I just clicked read.
A story told through voicemails…I read this on wattpad by @bookgirlingmoments and I’m definitely buying this in paperback
I cried over the course of the 100 voice mails but the last few chapters and the epilogue absolutely BROKE ME. And I started sobbing uncontrollably in the car with Adele playing in the background lmao. What is this? So if you feel the need to cry this is the perfect short story which you could read in less than an hour
This was an extremely quick read and was very enjoyable. For how short it was, it really made me think. I was sad about what happened and kind of wished it had gone differently as what happened seemed unrealistic to me. However, that may be because I have never been in a similar situation. Overall, very quick, nice read.
I read this book on a whim, and I finished it all in a few hours. The ending was so heartbreaking, and I might have cried more than other books. Also, I love the originality of telling a story through voicemails.
100 voicemails made me cry. It was so well written. The beautiful love story. What made me cry like crazy, is the end. I could not handle it. I just cracked. Sarah Wazir is a very good writer. She made me feel like I was the characters.
