Zoe's Rescue Zoo #12

The Scruffy Sea Otter

Rate this book
Zoe is SO excited when Great Uncle Horace brings THREE gorgeous sea otter pups to live at the Rescue Zoo! The orphaned pups are very fluffy and cheeky – and the youngest pup, Sasha, is the cheekiest and fluffiest of all. Zoe uses her special skills to talk to the otters and gets to know them all very well.

But Sasha feels sad when her older, more confident, siblings are chosen to take part in a special otter display. Can Zoe and Meep persuade Sasha the scruffy sea otter not to give up and to bring her own special skills to the show?

The scruffy sea otter is an amazing book. I am currently reading Zoe's rescue zoo as the first book I read (the lonely lion cub) I enjoyed so much. After reading it I immediately started reading the scruffy sea otter and started it today. I enjoyed it so much I could not take my eyes of the book and managed to finish it 1 hour later. Zoe's rescue zoo is amazing.

This is a book that my 8 year old picked up from the library for a bedtime book. We haven't read any of the others in this series but he does want to now - particularly the panda and penguin ones!

I love the fact that Zoe can talk to the animals but nobody else knows! (And I want to read the meerkat one!).

This one is a lovely little story about a baby otter who arrives at the rescue zoo with her older brother and sister but is upset because she can't do what they can, which is where Zoe steps in to help.

The moral of the story is that with a little help if needed, and the right mindset, we can achieve our goals - even if we're an otter!

Rating from my 6 year old. I've been reading these to him for many months now. I think he wishes he lived at a zoo and the animals talked to him.
