Dead bodies. Wolves. Dragons. And Tanner's brazen promise.
Pearl has to find a way out of the Fox Pit before its serial killer claims another life: hers.
Ethan, an undercover cop posing as a fox handler, might prove to be her most powerful ally. But to reach him, she has to throw off her handler - a man capable of sudden, intense violence - and her roommate, of course. Don't forget about poor, crazy Gia. All this while dealing with a back-breaking schedule of depraved bondage scenes Pearl can't quite decide if she's enjoying or not.
When her plans go awry, Pearl is faced with an agonizing decision: take Greg up on his offer, or try and outlive the remainder of her contract. If the Fox Pit's billionaire owner will let her leave when the time comes... especially since Tanner Stark has a habit of getting rather attached to his foxes.
I'm renowned for giving my readers a book hangover.
> My characters will carve out a place in your heart. > My stories will leave you wondering, thinking, reliving. > And I write the hottest, steamiest love scenes you'll ever read...
More dangerous by the day...can she stay safe from the owners and patrons... now that Greg has learned new things at the Pit... will he save Pearl and practice at home...? Next book may tell....
This is a continuation of Pearl's story, and you'll definitely want to read book 1 if you haven't already.
Pearl is determined to escape the Fox Pit. But of course escape is never that easy. That doesn't keep her from trying though. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next and have you rooting for Pearl to finally break free.
I love the layers of deceit within the book and also the many twists and turns that keep you turning the pages. It's been a long time since I read something where I couldn't see what was coming, but this book will keep you guessing. It still has me guessing. Blank Cheque does end on cliffhanger, but it's much like the first book, gives you enough closure to feel satisfied, but enough mystery to keep you wanting more.
Wow, suspense in combination with hot, hot...until the last word. In one way I'm happy the book is finished and at the same time not. Maybe now I have time to do something else than read. Lacie D Fox, Thank you.
I absolutely love this series! Just when I think I have it figured out, something else happens and I have 15 more questions. This series just gets better and better with each book.
I can't wait for Ethan's return. I have a feeling Pearl and him are going to bring the whole organization down. I want to see Tanner fall. There is something about him that just doesn't sit right with me. I think he is involved with the disappearance. He is just one shaddy character.
I hope the wait for the next book isn't too long. I need my questions answered.
Where to start. This book is really good. This story took a turn to a direction I wasn't expecting, but in a good way. The writing is done well. You have to read this in order so read book 1. Do recommend this book.
I thought I had the plot figured out. I just knew how this was going to end. But boy was I wrong! This book has me wanting to hurry up and read Book 3 to see how this all ends, who the bad guy(s) is (I mean they're all kind of messed up in a way), and what happens to the girls, etc. So don't go into this book with expectations or the plot figured out in your head, because you'll probably be wrong...
This book picks up where the last one left off. I won't go into too much details since it spoils it all. Pearl is still a fox in the Fox Pit. She's still entertaining 'wolfs' and still trying to plot her escape from the place. She's not sure who to trust now either and I'm not even sure who she should trust. Definitely give this a read. It felt more like a mystery/suspense book than erotica to me this time, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to see how it all ends.
Lacie will have you dangling like bait on a hook with this book! This book starts off much like the first one, with a preview of the end. Pearl has been captured and taken to the dungeon, but by who, we don't know. All you can do is guess. After the way the first book ended, I had an idea of what I thought would happen in book two with regards to Pearl, Seth, and Ethan. But now having read it I can tell you I was so freaking wrong! Mysteries abound in this sequel that will leave you on the edge of your seat waiting for the final installment.
Pearl is amassing more questions the longer she is at the Fox Pit, and finding even less in the way of answers. Pearl meets a new girl named Tina, that is housed in another part of the mansion. While she seems like another Gia, Tina might have her uses. Then there is Jarred--this mysterious owner of the Fox Pit has a more active roll in this book, but you will still be left unsure of his actual desires. As Pearl gets brave enough to start asking some of the girls in her group more detailed questions, Seth steps in and changes the nature of their relationship. When Greg offers to rescue Pearl from her circumstances, will she take him up on his offer? Or will she try and stay the remainder of her contract?
Lacie has done it again with Blank Cheque! I was so excited to get a copy of this because of how the first one ended, and now I'm left wanting all over again! She does a great job with going deeper with the story and teasing her readers with tidbits about the characters and what you think their intentions are. I thought one thing, but then the opposite happened, and now I'm back on the edge of my seat waiting to see how this series ends....such a tease!!
I was given an Advanced Reader Copy of this book for an honest review. If you have not read any of Lacie's books before, you are certainly missing out!! This book is by far the best I have ever read from this author. It contains suspense, thrills, mystery, bondage, BDSM, lust, envy, and maybe even a hint of love.
The first book in this series ended in a cliffhanger, and sorry to inform you, this one does also. I'm am still on the edge of my chair from how this book left off, I can't wait to see what Lacie has in store for Pearl next!!
Blank Cheque is the 2nd book in this series by author Lacie D. Fox. This series is highly captivating. We first meet Pearl in Fool's Gold which is a roller coaster of a book! Now we come into the next part of the story with further suspense, drama, lust, and all of the other desires or emotions that a story can invoke. This story will leave you beginning for more as it unfortunately ends on a cliffhanger, but if the remainder of the story holds with what we've read so far - you won't be disappointed.
This is the second book in the series continuing Pearls story. Not only does she hate it she wants to escape and has found a way to get around at night without them knowing. Things just go from weird to even weirder for her with the house mates disappearing and the owner acting strangely. This was a fantastic was a fantastic story and can't wait to read more to find out what happens.
Lacie has continued a story about the Fox pit. Pearl signed up for a month of servicing wolves which are just men in masks. She wants out now however and is finding escape very difficult. This book is really hot with good editing. There are many twists and turns. Just when you think you have something figured out you discover that you're wrong.
