Learning to take control might drive them all crazy.
It’s been a month since Kieran Smith and his partner were reassigned to the Organization office in Las Vegas. During that time, his boss has left to go on a secret mission and Kieran’s been bonding with an old friend plus falling in love with a shifter. Kieran’s not sure where all the changes in his life are coming from, but he’s doing his best to deal with them. When his past comes back to haunt him, Kieran feels himself losing control. He’s been accused of being crazy and, if things keep going the way they are, he just might prove everyone right.
Shifters are going missing around the city and Dakota fears the same group responsible for kidnapping and torturing Kieran is behind it. When the mastermind is uncovered and Kieran is once again in danger, Dakota vows to protect him at all costs. She never expected to have to worry about losing control of her jaguar, though.
The Day Walkers, shifters and humans have to band together for survival and not all of them are going to make it out untouched by the events that are about to unfold.
Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of incarceration and torture; memories of incarceration and torture and fight scenes.
Publisher's Note: This book is best read in sequence, as part of a series.
I live in Texas with my husband, daughter, and three Labrador retrievers. By day you can find me at my 'day job' buried under a pile of paperwork but at night I am at my computer creating new worlds!
I have always loved the paranormal. Shape-shifters, witches, and vampires have been my number one choice of reading material so when I strated to write it was the genre I chose.
I currently have several books released through Totally Bound. I have one long running series the Were Chronicles and in March 2014 a spin-off series the Shifter Chronicles will be revealed.
I also have several stand alone novellas and novels.
I am working hard to bring more stories to the readers so they can sit back and relax while losing themselves in the paranormal romance world.
I was a smidge worried the feeling from the first book in the Bloodlines series was not going to carry over. I had a insta-love connection with Kieran. His sense of humor and naughtiness are things I really get my biggest kicks from when reading PNRs. I'm happy to say it is very much alive and kicking in Control.
Kieran is back to his antics testing out the others in the Organization. That's on top of learning to work with them as well as working on his relationship with Dakota. When his past comes back to get him, he struggles to deal with it, especially now that shifters are going missing. He thinks the ones who imprisoned him are responsible for the missing shifters. Kieran and his Day Walkers friends, shifters and humans are going to have to work together to find the missing and stop anymore from being taken.
Fun, exciting and Kieran make Control a great addition to this series. In the first book it was kind of a get to know you with Kieran. This time around we get to know his friends around him as well as the criminals to captured and tortured him. He has issues to deal with including his problem with shifters. which means he is going to have to come face to face Dakota's jaguar. Yowza! That was just awesome. And taking down the bad guys...uh huh! Good times.
There was a bit of a finality to Control that makes it feel like it is the end of the series. I'm certainly hoping it isn't because I love Crissy Smith and this Bloodlines series of her of the exact reason why. I'm always telling everybody she is a must read for all PNR fans and if you are looking for a series of hers to start with, this is the one.
