[Wren] "The world around us fades away. My skin burns under his cold touch as he bites down gently on my bottom lip, tracing my cheek with his fingers. It's funny how a single kiss can make you feel immortal."I don't know what it is, but certain lines like this in the novel are really cheesy to me, and remind me that this novel originated on Wattpad. Mind you, the point I'm making here is blatantly subjective because it's more of an opinion than an objective critique.
[Wren] "I've always felt that going to Yale would be something special. Something meaningful. If Wren going to the same college as her father was important, then why wasn't this mentioned previously in the last 75% of the novel? Maybe I missed something, because I don't understand why when the reader follows most of the things Wren does as a high school senior about to go to college, her wanting to be accepted into Yale and being granted a scholarship there isn't mentioned. This has happened before with other smaller facts, but I felt as if this example showcased my point best.
A way to keep the thread between my dad and me intact. One of the last bits of hope I had to keep those fading memories. And knowing that it was one of the best colleges was the glazed cherry on the top."
