Billionaire Franklin Darwell is the antithesis of his family name. He is neither charming nor cordial, and takes any opportunity he can to get away from the pressures of society. He counts himself lucky when a new friend introduces him to Pamela Livingston in one of his favorite vacation spots. Just as sharp-tongued and quick-witted as he is, she provides a welcome distraction from the pomp and circumstance he's forced to live.

Pamela, however, wants little to with the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Though she can't deny she's drawn to Franklin, his lifestyle intimidates her. Only when he offers her the trip of a lifetime - and a chance to reclaim part of her past - does she accept. Everything seems to be perfect as they realize that they can’t keep their hands off each other.

However, little does Pam know that the trip will test the limits of her courage as there is something that neither she nor Franklin could have ever foreseen. Unknowingly, the Darwell family created many enemies and there is a killer waiting to find the right moment to kill Franklin… it turns out that the trip provided the opportunity for a perfect strike.

Will they discover who and why someone is trying to kill him? And most importantly, will they survive their killers' planned attack?

I just read about 16% out of it but I just had to write something. This is by far the most unsexy male character I've ever read. I'm trying not to go of an a huge rant. But there where a few infamous names of guy types that came to mind but none of them is desireble at all. Not my cup of tea. Maybe just me being picky.

Story a happy ever after. Rags to riches story. All of Pamela‘s friends are totally rich and money means absolutely nothing to them. Pamela is a regular person who works very hard for a living. Her friends meet a gorgeous royal named Franklin. Franklin has been around the block a few things and finds most women boring. Franklin starts to talk with these girls and founds out very early on in the evening that all of them are money hungry SOBs. Pamela's friends decided to set her up with Franklin as a joke, but Franklin finds he really likes her and here starts his chase to get Pamela. Enjoy

Franklin and Pamela

Free Audible copy. The son of a Duke and an orphaned girl. Pretty far-fetched love story with an American terrorist twist.

Either the book is full of typos or the narrator has issues reading. Plus there were a lot of distracting and annoying noises in the background. JP

Franklin Darwell is one sexy heir billionaire who likes solitude and quiet and far away from his family and society who pressure him about his responsibilitys within the family and that he is just to picky when it comes to love but no mistake he tries everything to claim Pamela Livingston who is not scared of no man and gives him a run for his money. These two together are explosive once the barriers are broken through, the perfect couple.I loved them together, the chemistry they share ,the teasing each other, and the way they helped each other find there way.I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book.
