Emily Jackson’s life wasn’t going well, and that was before the teleporter accident. Being a test subject for the experiment was meant to be a way to make some desperately-needed money, but instead of sending her across the room it catapulted her across the stars.
Zovak, wolf-shifter and greatest warrior of his Clan, is too busy to worry about finding a mate. His Clan is under attack from their rivals the Fire Wolves, and he is needed to lead them. But when he sees the curvy human woman under attack by enemy shifters, there’s no doubt in his mind. This strange woman from another world will be his, no matter what he has to do to protect her.
Stranded in a desert under the light off two suns, all Emily wants is to find a way home. At least that’s what she tells herself, but the sexy blue-skinned alien warrior who found her has other ideas... and after the way his touch makes her feel, she has to admit she’s tempted to stay.
If she’s going to leave, she’ll have to go back through Fire Wolf territory – and Zovak will have to sacrifice himself and his happiness to send her home.
Juno Wells grew up on Florida’s Space Coast, watching the shuttles take off from Cape Canaveral. When she hit college, her childhood fantasies about space travel turned highly romantic. Now her mind reels with space adventures of fantastic alien lords in distant galaxies, and the earth women they love.
Wells’ stories explore the complex, sensual relationships between inhabitants of different star systems. There are always happy endings just as there is always a new world to explore.

Zovak: Worldwalker Barbarians: Sci-Fi Alien Shifter Romanc by Leslie Chase , Juno Wells What a Sci-Fi paranormal romance! Leslie Chase &Juno Wells This Sci-Fi and paranormal story that doesn't disappoint, This is how I like it Sci-Fi mixed with paranormal I really enjoyed this romantic love story. WoW a great story with a different approach. I didn't want this story to end, I'm hoping for this to be made into a series and this is just book 1. I love Juno Wells books, their characters have depth, their worlds have such detail, and the story is awesome. These ladies are fantastic storytellers. From the first paragraph you read, you are drawn into the story and it keeps you turning pages until the last page. I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed reading this intriguing and interesting story, of course these are werewolves we’re talking about, after all. Also this book has something for us all it's exciting, space travel, werewolves, drama, action, threats, a feisty heroine, fun, mysterious and a sexy, gorgeous blue Alien. Emily Jackson see's an advertisement for a experiment at the college and as she needed money she agreed to the experiment. Unfortunately for Emily it goes all wrong and she ends up on a planet with the light coming off two sun. As life on earth isn't going so well because besides the need of money and her dating life has been none existed. she found her self in another place and wolves are trying to capture her but one lone wolf saves her but he claims she is his mate. Zovak is the greatest warrior of his Clan and he is busy leading his clan in the fight against the Fire Wolves, he wasn't looking for a mate. But he sees a curvy woman being attack by his enemy, when it comes to him without a doubt she is his mate.
What a great story, I loved reading this story it's funny besides being fast pasted. They have a sense of family and brotherhood it makes the story seem real. I love how these authors builds the suspense. It's fantastic reading Juno Wells alien romance liked this one that's well written. I have read a lot of the earlier Juno Wells series and I enjoyed this one the most. The extra length gives these authors time to fully develop the characters and the storyline. Emily and Zovak come together quickly but emotionally each feels constraints to fully accept their feelings. But Emily stills wants to find a way home, well that’s what she tells herself, except there's a certain gorgeous, sexy blue skinned alien that has his own ideas but who can blame her if his touch made me feel the way he makes her feel I would stay too, so of course she’s tempted. I definitely recommend this book. It's a awesome read if you love reading Sci-Fi and you get paranormal romance mix in WOW!. I am voluntarily reviewing this book that's gifted to me by the author with no obligation.
If you believe in the world of love and paranormal romance then the possibilities are endless and fascinating.
Juno Wells teamed up with Leslie Chace to write a delightful Sci-fi alien romance. The world-building was done well. There were very few errors in the text.
Emily Jackson is once again working late closing up the restaurant for a creepy owner. She needs the money. She spots a ad on the bulletin board in the restaurant asking for test subjects paying $1000.00. She sure could use the money. She calls the number and the excited researcher would like her to come right over. It is one of several research facilities in the town. He is working on teleportation. He has successfully transferred a mouse from one chair to another. Now, he would like to see if he can repeat the results with Emily. She agrees to try. Something goes a bit wrong and she winds up on an alien planet with 2 hot suns and wolves racing to get her. Our hero, Zovak, just returned from a successful hunt to steal a treasure from this same pack of wolves. He immediately knows that she is his fated mate and drops the the treasure for the far greater one of Emily.
Its a really well-written story, with plenty of romance, ancient lore,a mystery or two for I hope another book in this series, fighting and finally our HEA. I read anything Juno Wells writes. Each of her stories are unique and interesting. They are fun to read in this stressful world. Get a bit of escapism and get this one! Thank you Juno and Leslie!
Honestly wasnt feeling it. Not bad but pretty meh. The worldwalker concept is cool but i felt this was more a rough draft brainstoming idea basic outline of a story than a finished exciting chemistry filled book. The characters were also lacking and inconsistent i just found myself not even remotely investing or caring for any of them. The world was confusing and didnt seem to have any real substance like why were the two groups against eachother? Other than hot dry and 2 suns their wasnt world building at all i mean ?! Yeah i might read the scond on since i usually give the first books in a series a bit more leniency but yeah not a fan of this.
Zovak has brought me enjoyment as a reader and definition as a consumer. He meets my needs as a book boyfriend in his skills as a warrior but I like my males a bit more I'm taking what and I've got what you need baby. Loving altruism is good but I need dirty talking dominant alphas. If sweet strong warriors are your thing this is the book for you.
I know it is a short story, but it isn't as I expected. The beginning was great and the progress of it became slow. The new world is not clear for me and the other characters in Zovak's clan were just ..... there. The clan accepted her as an alien so easily. Suddenly the writer ended the story with a silly solution. They met, made sex, the hero let his mate go, and they found love. I don't think I will read the other book.
The idea of the story was great. There was a lack of details of the world building with its culture and custom. I find the couples relationship to be instant but lack passion and intensity. There were no background details about the enemy line and what was really going on between the two groups. It was really short with no real conflict.
I think this could have been a great book if it was a little more developed and with a more likable heroine. I didn't really like Emily much at all and kind of felt sorry for Zovak. Not sure I will be continuing the series
I liked the story. I just felt that so much more could have been written. Even though it was kind of short, still liked it. Actually I'd give this story a 4.5.
It was so well written and it holds your attention from beginning to end? This is one adventure you will not be able to put down? Filled with steamy romance, awesome characters, and highly recommended.
Interesting tale that takes you on an adventure that you wouldn't expect. Not your typical Alien Romance. But a good read. I recommend it as a good read
Title of Book: Zovak: Worldwalker Barbarians # 1 Author: Juno Wells and Leslie Chase
I have read many books that Juno Wells has helped write and I have not been disappointed yet. This is my first book to read by Leslie Chase and with her having teamed up with Juno Wells means she knows who is very good at SCI-FI Alien Shifter Romance, or just Alien Romance. The two authors together created a very good romance between an alien shifter and a woman from Earth. I loved how they took a story line and worked it so well that the characters to fit right into place, even the minor characters had their own place in the story line. Remarkable work. You do not want to miss this incredible story of love across the planets.
Emily is just trying to survive and her life is not going too well. She has a job that sucks and debt that she needs to pay or she could become homeless. So, she agrees to be a test subject for an experiment in teleportation. She just couldn’t turn down the $1000.00 that the scientist offered her to help with the experiment. She thought she was going to be teleported from chair to another, and had no idea that she would be sent to a planet with blue alien wolf shifters. No to mention that there are several that want to kill her, while she is rescued by one very hunky blue alien shifter. He makes her feel things she shouldn’t feel, but she wants to go home.
Zovak is on a quest to prove to his father and the clan that he is ready to rule the clan once his father steps down. Since he is a strong and ferrous warrior in the clan is sent to the Fire Wolves territory to steal an important artifact of theirs. He is on his way home when he feels a tug toward the ruins on the Fire Shifters land. Once he gets close to the ruins he sees that there are several Fire shifters there and they have a woman cornered and are going to kill her. He then realizes that she is his mate and he cannot let them kill her. Once he rescues her she passes out and he knows right off that she isn’t from any place on his planet. Will Zovak sacrifice his happiness and his life to get Emily home? Will Emily leave or stay with Zovak?
No Spoilers. Advanced Reader Copy read voluntarily.
I loved this book it has it all space travel while not in a spaceship and shiftier what more can you ask for Emily Jackson's life was not going so well she was in need of money and her dating life stunk big time so she saw an advertisement for a experiment at the college to make some easy money so she thought but once she went to the department and saw the wackier scientist he was funny and kind so she did not think it would be a big deal until she found her self in another place and then big bad wolves were coming for her but one big bad man wolf came for her and said she was his mate oh boy what is she to do but to go along with Zovak he was the head of his clan and he was just going to bring home a trophy of the clan he was fighting with but instead he found a curvy beautiful women and his mate so he took her home to meet his dad great story loved it so much fast pasted and funny too. Michelle
I have read a few of Leslie's books and enjoyed them all and this one was no exception. I have always loved Paranormal romance but I am also fast becoming a fan of Sci-fi romance and the great thing about this book it combined the two:-) And had a fresh approach as all the other Sci-fi romance I have read, where the Aliens come to earth and the humans fall in love with them. This book was different as: Emily short of cash agrees to help a scientist test his transporter machine, so far he has transported things from one side of the room to the other, worriedly Emily takes a seat but something goes horribly wrong and Emily is transport across the stars to a strange planet. Zoval a wolf shifter and warrior of his clan isn't looking to find a mate just yet. Instead he has sneaked onto another clan's territory to steal their prize artifact to prove to his clan he is ready to take over from his father when he steps down as the clan's leader. Zovak has the artifact and is on his way home when he see Emily surrounded and being attacked by the other clan so he drops the artifact and rescues her and instantly knows she's his mate even though they can't communicate but all Emily wants is to find a way home - I won't tell you any more as I have already said too much and I hate when reviewers give away too much of the story and spoil it for other readers.
Well written and characters are good. Not as intense as I like but still good. I like more in-depth and involved in characters description, but not bad
I enjoy sci-fi romances and especially those with paranormal elements. They tend to be fun escapes with exciting men and interesting journeys.
Emily is a woman who needs money. She get the offer for an experiment and ends up on another planet. She is dropped right into the middle of a dangerous situation. Fortunately, Zovak is there on his own mission and feels compelled to save her. He is a wolf shifter and knows immediately she is his mate. He risks his life to save her from his enemy even when it costs him the trophy he needed for his clan. There is a really good message in the book about accepting the opportunities for love that we get.
Financial difficulty forces one women to volunteer for a since experiment fro money enough to payoff some bills and fix a broken down car. Easy right? When the experiment put her on a strange planet instead of in a chaotic office she finds not only is there a lot of danger but her one wish standing before her. How can she gets home? And is she willing to give up everything to stay if she can't? Wonderful read. Big fan of Juno Wells and now Leslie Chase. Can't wait for them to write together again. I voluntarily received a complimentary copy for an honest review. Amazing how one decision can change your world.
This was a story you wanted to laugh with almost from the first page. Emily Jackson needs some extra cash and decides to help out a Professor in finding out if his machine works! Well it does and it doesn’t instead of putting her across the room she ends up on a new world. She meets Zovak a wolf-shifter and soon to be chief of his tribe they are fighting the Fire Wolves. What Happens? Will Emily stay there, or return to her life on Earth? I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I liked this one. It was fun, exciting and mysterious. It was different in places from your typical shifter alien. I really enjoyed reading it. Imagine volunteering for something and having something like what happens to her. Wow what a change that would be. I recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
An alien willing to send his mate back to her planet even though it means a lifetime of sadness. Someone willing to do whatever is needed to make someone else happy. Great story and well worth the read. Enjoyed it immensely!!
This was a fast and fun read. Loved the idea of this great story. Emily is a wonderful character, so is Zovak. There is so much jam-packed into their story that you will feel it is much longer than 72 pages. I would definitely recommend this fantastic book to everyone, I know you will love it too.
