Scorching hot but with a background narrative which cleverly weaves the insanely sexy scenes into the slow build development of a relationship between two next-door neighbours.

Fun at Folsom!
It's another fun time with Dom Damon and Pete, who really wants to be his boy. Nothing extreme in this one but Damon is getting Pete ready for his first visit to the Folsom Street fair, a gathering known for offering the lure of leather and kink. There's a surprise guest in this one too! I was thrilled to see this cameo appearance from a favorite leather daddy.
Damon and Pete are so much hotness together. I like the dual POV's so we know how each is feeling, even though they haven't said anything to each other yet. But it ends on a cliffhanger! As do the previous installments. I can't wait until all of them come out, so I'll live with the anticipation of the next. I'm dying to see how many more installments come out before it ends. That way I can read them again all at once! Fabulous series.

I love how much Pete has grown since the first book of the series. But this is the part that I hate the most. When the characters are on the same page but DO NOT COMMUNICATE what they want, but that is what makes reading the rest of the book or series more fun. Ready for book 5!

As stated above, this is the fourth short story / chapter in Damon and Pete’s story. We’ve followed them as they moved from what could have been a single, very hot and kinky, encounter to discovering that there might be a lot more for the two of them to explore as well as a growing bond between them.
In this instalment they take Pete’s introduction into the world of BDSM a long way further. Preparations for and subsequently attending the Folsom Street Fair reveals that Pete’s appetite for submission and kink goes further than Damon could have dreamed it might. As a result, their kinky day out is not just about discovering what Pete’s limits might be, because it turns out that Damon has a limit or two of his own when it comes to his boy.
As limits are pushed and feelings deepen it seems that Pete and Damon are on their way to establishing a wonderful dynamic and relationship until a ghost from his past shows up on Damon’s doorstep leaving both the characters and the reader to wonder what this might mean for the fledgling bond between them.
So, to start with what for me was the bad news, this story ends on a cliff hanger and I’m not a fan of those. Having said that, as cliff hangers go, this is a good one; I can’t deny it left me on the edge of my seat and very impatient for the next instalment in this tale. I find myself totally invested in Damon and Pete and can’t wait to find out what this latest development will mean for them and how they’ll overcome whatever obstacles they may encounter. Of course, I do need those answers soon (are you listening, author dearest?).
If you like your fiction kinky and enjoy stories in which sexy times are the main focus without neglecting feelings and growing affection, I can’t recommend the Playing With Fire stories enough. The characters are intriguing, their interactions fun and extremely hot and the writing is smooth and a pleasure to read—what’s not to love.

With each installment Pete and Damon’s relationship evolves. While the sex is still down and dirty and raw, there is a new emotion that infuses their interactions, adding a whole new level to it all that takes Damon by surprise.

Damon and Pete are beginning to truly explore BDSM together. Damon is a Dom who wants Pete to be his submissive. Pete has accepted that role and together they attend the Folsom Street Fair. As they discuss limits, hard, soft, and acceptable play, it appears that Pete is more interested in exhibitionism, which pleases Damon. When they attend a sex party, though, one of Damon's limits, sharing Pete, comes under discussion and they decide whether to allow that now, later, or never. It's when they go home that they both get a shock. And there it ends. For now.

This series has got me biting my nails. My word... Things have definitely started changing and I love every minute of it. Damon is introducing Pete more into the lifestyle and I love what a good Dom he is. He makes sure Pete is ok. He always asks ahead of time. Yeah, he may try to push Pete's boundaries a bit but he still makes sure Pete is alright. Just how it should be. But just as things are going great and moving forward, the past has a way of slamming into them and I'm a nervous wreck!!! Poor Pete. I don't want him all upset and hurt. Grrr! SO GOOD!!

“Limiti” è il quarto racconto della serie “Damon & Pete: giocare col fuoco” in cui vediamo nascere e crescere una relazione tra i due protagonisti, che da un inizio basato esclusivamente sul sesso sta evolvendo velocemente verso qualcosa di più profondo.
In “Conseguenze”, il terzo racconto della serie, si era già percepito un cambiamento nella direzione che la storia sta prendendo, infatti Pete partecipa alla cena di compleanno della madre di Damon e quella che nelle intenzioni di quest’ultimo sarebbe dovuta essere una vendetta, si trasforma in qualcosa di molto diverso.
In questo racconto il rapporto tra i due diventa più profondo pur tornando a essere concentrato sul BDSM. Pete e Damon fanno un ulteriore passo avanti nella loro relazione e si preparano ad affrontare la loro prima uscita pubblica nel mondo del BDSM e a testare non solo i limiti di Pete, ma anche quelli di Damon.
La loro visita alla Fiera di Folsom Street e la successiva festa con gli amici di Damon sembrano andare per il meglio e devo dire che sia la parte relativa alla Fiera che quella relativa alla festa sono veramente molto hot.
Il cliffhanger finale mi ha lasciata abbastanza perplessa , anzi per essere precisi mi ha sconvolta, soprattutto perché pensavo che questo fosse l’ultimo racconto della serie e mi sono dovuta assicurare che ne fosse previsto un quinto contattando l’autrice.
Racconto dopo racconto abbiamo imparato a conoscere i due protagonisti e il POV alternato ci ha aiutato a capire le loro paure e le loro emozioni più nascoste portandoci ad amare entrambi e a sperare nel lieto fine che è ormai sembra proprio a portata di mano.

Romance and Fantasy for Cosmopolitan Girls
Il rapporto tra Damon e Pete è cambiato, già in “Conseguenze” vi era stata una virata verso una relazione più profonda, non solamente sessuale ed occasionale. Pete desidera essere il ragazzo di Damon, ma non solo inteso come sub, ma come qualcuno con cui stare nel quotidiano. La loro partecipazione alla fiera di Folsom Street e alla “festa” che ne segue potrebbe essere il punto di svolta, dove Damon vuole testare i limiti di Pete e vedere se effettivamente potrebbero essere compatibili sulla lunga distanza.
Si tratta di una novella, come per le precedenti, ad alto tasso erotico, si parla di BDSM e sesso di gruppo, ma l’autrice riesce comunque a non cadere mai nel volgare e a rendere anche perfettamente il lato emotivo dei protagonisti mettendo in luce i loro pensieri così come i desideri più profondi, non solo del corpo, ma anche della mente.
Quando sembra che la storia stia evolvendo in una certa direzione ecco emergere una persona dal passato di Damon che potrebbe minare un rapporto ancora fragile ed abbozzato, lasciando così il lettore in sospeso in attesa dei nuovi sviluppi che sicuramente attenderanno i due protagonisti.

COMMENTO PERSONALE: intanto ringrazio la gentilissima casa editrice per avermi dato la possibilità di leggere e recensire questo piccolo libro. Il voto come molti di voi avranno già notato è più basso rispetto al solito. Questa valutazione premetto che non riguarda di sicuro lo stile di scrittura dell’autrice, molto scorrevole e anche molto dettagliato. Riguarda più che altro le troppe immagini forti contenute nel libro. Va bene che fa parte del genere. Però per esempio mi sarebbe piaciuta molto di più un’analisi riguardante il carattere dei personaggi principali e avere qualche giustificazione sul perché siano diventate queste persone. Il personaggio che mi ha colpita sin da subito è Demon. Lo trovo molto enigmatico nonostante il suo modo di comportarsi da sfrontato e stronzo nei confronti di Ppete. Le immagini che ha descritto l’autrice sono davvero molto vivide e reali. Certe volte mi sconvolge pensare che tutto ciò sia reale. Detto questo, penso di poterlo consigliare solo agli amanti di questo genere. Alla prossima avventura.

✔ Letto! In questo libro tutti i limiti verranno testati, non solo di Peter a quanto credevo ma principalmente quelli di Damon. Peter vuole Damon nella sua vita di tutti i giorni e non solo quando fanno sesso oocasionale praticando il BDSM. Abbiamo visto il quanto sia cambiato il loro rapporto, diventando più profondo e con dei sentimenti veri. Pertanto si metti constantemente alla prova, superando limiti che non pensava di avere e sul Folsom Street Fair e dopo alla festa di RD, ne è la prova. Ma anche Damon sta nel frattempo testando i suoi limiti insieme a Peter. A testare i suoi sentimenti e cosa vuole fare della sua relazione con Peter.
Sembra che tutto vada per come desiderano loro due finché tornando a casa Damon no si ritrova faccia a faccia con il suo passato.

Damon and Pete dive deeper into their BDSM relationship. Pete's not the only one to figure out his limits. I loved seeing Damon's limits when it comes to Pete. I was glad to know that there was a cliffhanger, so of course, I was just wondering how it would end. I thought the cliffhanger was perfect and I can't wait to see what happens next! Hopefully I won't have to wait to long for the next one!

I love this series! It is well-written and this story shows how the relationship between Pete and Damon is expanding to encompass more than sex as they build a solid connection. Now that they are getting serious they finally take the time to sit down and discuss what they want and expect from each other in their BDSM relationship. As always the sex is smoking hot and I can't wait to read the next book.

Well, that was amazing. So I went into these short stories, especially after the first one, thinking they’d only be about sex. What I didn’t anticipate was a very interesting progression of their love for one another. I’m excited to read the next short story.
