Colin and Anthony’s world has gone dark. They’re thrown into a tumultuous mind game with Paul, a sadistic man who is determined to take everything from Colin. The weapon of choice…abduction. Paul takes the one thing that will destroy Colin and everyone close to him: Sydney.
Sydney’s only crime was being the one person Colin and Anthony can’t live without. As a pawn in a disturbing game of mental, physical and emotional torture, Sydney must rely on herself to survive. Alone, she digs deep to find her strength and love for Colin and Anthony to help her through Paul’s destructive plans.
“Alone” will claw at your heart in the most violent ways as you watch the damage unfold and hearts tear. The manipulative moves from the sadist take their toll on Colin, Anthony and Sydney. Colin and Anthony instilled strength and love in Sydney, but will it be enough for her to survive at the hands of a man dead set on shattering Colin?

This was one of the hardest of the books in this series to read. When you come to love one of the main characters in a seirs and the auther decides to have her kidnapped and tourtured throughout the whole book it is really hard to deal with especially when it is this well done. a real tear jerker. Great work.
After finding out that Sydney have been abducted the quest starts. Who has her? Why have somebody taken her? In this book we mostly hear it from Anthony and Colins view. Some from Sydney aswell.
We get to see a new side to Colin, and learn more about Anthony. We see them at their absolut lowest point. But we also see how friends, love, trust and hope can go a long way. Matt is my hero in this book, when you read it maybe you will see why:) Everybody deserves a Matt in their life.
I won't say anymore except summer 2017 can not come fast enough!
I was anticipating this book....once I got it this morning....I couldn't not put it down....it took me 5 hours to read the whole book. I was on the edge of me seat!!! Holy hell the book is phenomenal!!!! The raw emotions....the rage....wow consumed me. I highly recommend it....I was not disappointed at all....I will be counting the days till the new installment comes out!!!
In Alone, Book Four of the Everette Gaming Series, Colin and Anthony are progressing with training Sydney, making her stronger. Even to the point where Anthony could possibly use some rope on her.
Sydney’s friendship with Gina is strong and they often go to the shopping centre together. But their routine is too predictable. And sadist, Paul, has been watching, preparing to make his move. On a shopping trip, Gina needs to use the ladies’ room and Sydney waits for her on a bench outside of the toilets. But when Gina emerges, Sydney is nowhere to be found, and her collar is found on the ground.
When Gina phones her husband/Dom, Matt, who is playing golf with his two best friends, Colin and Anthony – Sydney’s Doms – a distraught Gina tells him Sydney has disappeared. Matt orders Gina to go to where her and Sydney often ate lunch, which is also where the guys used to eat at times, to wait for him to arrive. Colin and Anthony are beside themselves with worry about who has abducted Sydney. But when Colin receives a text message, showing Sydney bound, bleeding and crumpled, he tries to keep the information from Anthony.
Anthony can’t deal with what’s happened and makes a decision that will haunt him. He drinks, which is not something he does because of his mother and step-father beating him, and molesting him when he was younger, and dials the number of a pro-sadist to inflict pain on him. He blacks out and isn’t sure what happens during the pro-sadist, Victor’s, visit. But he has his suspicions and it’s making him sick to the stomach, on top of what he feels for what Sydney is suffering at the hands of Paul.
This book brings out all the emotions. Anger, fear, sadness, defeat, pain, hatred, vulnerability, strength, and hope. What Sydney endures at the hands of Paul, who knows every hard limit Sydney has and plays on them to break her; sending photographs, and videos of his handiwork to Colin via text message to taunt him and ‘Golden Boy’ Anthony, makes you almost cry. I don’t cry reading a book – watching a movie, sometimes, but never when reading a book, although I felt every emotion possible.
I feel I must also make a note that the author is in the habit of repeating things, and the editing issue is still present in this book. But if you can overlook these, this is a wonderfully emotionally charged series, that I should have started a long time ago. The story line is great.
Colin, Sydney and Anthony have settled into a solid V relationship. Sydney has let her guard down even more. Trust and love has allowed them to gently push past her limits. Sydney loves having Gina for a friend and they enjoy having lunch and shopping together frequently. Meanwhile sadist Paul is still watching and waiting for the right time to destroy Colin Everett and Anthony Graves the golden boy! His chance finally comes up and he taunts Colin and Anthony. This is a really honest and brutal book that will have you turning page after page for the answers. I have really enjoyed this series it has a great storyline and the depth of the characters is outstanding. It’s been an emotional roller coaster.
A copy of this book is provided to me by the author; I won this book @ the Kinkaversary of the BDSM Group (April 2017)! (Note: Copy never received from Drew Sera!!) I've read the first book Fragile in this series (also won @ the Kinkaversary of the BDSM Group) however..... (I'm sorry I have to say!) I wasn't really impressed. So I most likely won't read book #4 (I'd want to read book #2 and #3 before reading #4 anyway.)
This was one of the most miserable books I’ve ever read! It was literally made my stomach hurt throughout the whole book. There literally was not a happy page past the first few chapters. The author kept the torture up for FAR too much of the book. I’m betting a large part of people who read this series will finish this book, much less pick up the next one! I only gave it 2 stars because I’ve mostly enjoyed the previous books. There is certainly no “sunshine” in this book!!
Wow... Really Drew you really got me with this book.. I really never cried over a book.. Especially when it got to the last few chapters. I felt like I could feel the pain they were going thou.. Please let everything be ok.. Because of what the last sentence said. This was such a great book.. Really love reading about Colin, Anthony, and Sidney. Ok now off to read the next one Lost.. But please this is a must read..
Alone Book 4 in The Everett Gaming Series by Drew Sera Heartbreaking!! Drew ripped out heart with this installment of The Everett Gaming Series. I am not going to sugar coat this I cried the entire book (literally). I was concerned at the end of book 3 with Sydney but I was not prepared for the extreme sadness I felt while reading Anthony and Colin’s perspective. As with the other books in this series the amount of detail we are provided with expressing what emotions are being felt during the unfolding of this book. We are greeted with extreme fear in the first chapter. As you are navigating these emotions we are immediately thrust into worry, sadness, anger, frustration, and loss. That is a lot for readers to get through but it doesn’t stop the urge to keep moving. I personally read this book in a single day because the emotions were so strong that I could bear worrying about what was going to happen next. My husband just shakes his head. When I read I get emotionally involved and the emotions that are presented to me while reading gets reflected in my life. So, you can image I could not read this book during the work week or I would have been a sniffling mess at work. We get to follow Anthony, Paul, Sydney, Matt, and Colin as they navigate the range their feelings while trying to keep the everyone together. The secondary characters, as I call them, are pivotal here in helping keep the pieces together such as Matt’s family, Blake and Gina are all there to keep Colin and Anthony from totally falling apart. Unfortunately, there isn’t much I can say that won’t give away what happens or how the ending had left me an emotional wreck. I’m ashamed to say that I really don’t want to read book 5. I’m not sure I can handle anymore. With most books, as I have stated before, you go through the cycle discovery, happiness, tragedy, and healing. Not with these books there wasn’t anything in this book that resembled this method. I know we all knew that going in and yet we still read. Drew has provided the most expressive series I have ever read. As an avid reader, I have never encountered this type of emotion. https://www.amazon.com/Alone-Book-4-E...
This is the fourth book in this series. This one was I will be honest the hardest one for me to read. I literally felt everything that Colin and Anthony were feeling in this book. Every single emotion they had while dealing with Sydney being kidnapped. Drew is one amazing writer and it shows in this book exactly how good she is. There was so much more to this book then the first three. It is hard to explain but Drew really pulls out the emotions and anguish that Colin and Anthony are feeling. I could clearly see how much they truly did love Sydney and how her being taken was affecting them. Excellent from the beginning to the end. I had a hard time reading about Sydney and what she goes through. It was difficult to get through as you want to climb into the book and rescue her. You want to help her remain strong through all of it. I learned more about Colin and Anthony in this book and I loved that we were allowed to learn more about their past and what makes them who they are today. Again there are just no words to describe this book let alone the whole series. But I will say that this one was my favorite out of all of them . There was just something about this book that really makes it a great page turner.
Alone by Drew Sera is the fourth book in the Everett Gaming Series, an emotionally charged dark series.
This one is probably the one that has made me the most emotional to date. I've cried over Sydney being held prisoner by Paul. They sadistic things that Paul does to not only Sydney but Colin and Anthony absolutely breaks my heart. And it's sad to know that there are people out there that are like that.
This story is about their survival. Sydney survives the endless games Paul is playing by keeping her trust in her Dom's and keeping hope in her love of them. Anthony who doesn't express his feelings well goes on a path of self destruction in order to ease his pain with Sydney being gone and watching her be hurt. Colin is hanging on by a thread as he watches not only Sidney's pain but the pain that his better half Anthony is enduring.
I can only hope that in the next installment that Drew Sera can start to mend my heart that is broken for this special V couple.
Why oh why must this series have so much control over my emotions. First let me say poor Sydney, she has literally been to hell and I would say back but a new hell is only beginning. The turmoil that Paul put her through is the most sickening crap a person can go through. I could visualize the pain and torture Sydney was going through which means it's writing by a great author if it pulls you into the storyline. I was so happy to see Paul get what he had coming, but on the downside, my Anthony got hurt...... The love that Colin, Anthony and Sydney share is very much still alive, throughout this book I was so emotional, tears fell for them both. I absolutely can not wait till the next book comes out, what am I going to do, need to know the fate of the "V"
Alone - the title says it all. When Sydney is kidnapped by the sadistic, sick Paul, all three of our beloved trio find themselves alone. This story pulled, no, tore, at my emotions, ripping my heart out. It challenged each of them to the darkest edges of their sanity to overcome the trauma they were facing. Sydney poured herself into staying afloat through her ordeal as her men struggled to maintain control. I hugged my kindle a few times, hoping for the best outcome, but there was so much pain. You have to read this 4th book in the series and see where Sydney, Colin and Anthony end up. It was a rough road for them, pushing them to the very brink of their strength and control. It was a dark, gut wrenching and highly emotional ride.
This series has had me on a roller coaster of emotions! Alone while on a darker side had emotions that I felt was necessary to reveal the the light that is now brightly showing at the end of the tunnel for the characters! I cannot wait until the next book comes out!! Alone made me want to scream and yell and throw my phone(which I didn't do) but I did have to put it down a couple times to fight off the tears! With all the emotions involved in this book I can only hope the bond in the characters relationship only grows stronger in the future books. Another job well done by Drew Sera!!!!
My favorite V is in shambles. The loss of Sydney is taking its toll. This book is gutwrenchingly fantastic! Drew Sera writes in a way that is so easy to read while at the same time so difficult. The feelings of the characters jump off the pages. I absolutely loved and hated this book, the turmoil that the characters go through is hard to digest, while they still trust in each other's love to help them through. I can't wait to read Lost and see if my V can find their rhythm again. Awesome job Drew!
This book continues Sydney, Anthony and Colin's story. Sydney is being held prisoner by the sadistic Paul. Anthony and Colin are fighting fear and waiting to hear news. It seems Paul has planned this to destroy Colin.
This story is heartbreaking, but shows how Sydney relies on her love for her dominates to help her survive. Their relationship has made her stronger. Colin is hanging on by a thread, but Anthony goes down a destructive path that may be the end of him. This book tied my emotions up and wrung me out. I highly recommend this book!
A compelling read! This is by far the darkest book in the series so far, which makes it difficult to read at times, while compelling to continue through the torture of emotional and physical pain. Drew's amazing writing skill and style places you inside the heads of the characters, resulting in you thinking their thoughts and feeling all of their emotions, from sadness, terror, emptiness and grief, to pure, pure love. I'm so glad I bought the box set so I can get stuck to the next book, Lost, right away. Highly recommended
Wow! OMG! What an extreme roller coaster ride! Gut wrenching! Heartbreaking! And the worst and scariest part is, there are those out in the real world who have been the victim of such horrendous acts humanity is sadly capable of.
I am nothing but amazed at how amazingly descriptive Drew Sera is with her writing! Absolutely mind boggling! Definitely NOT for the faint of heart! Just wow!
This was hard to read in places, it had me tears more than once. With Sydney taken by Paul and subjected to his brand of torture, Anthony and Colin are falling apart clinging to each other, Matt and Blake. Once again Drew pulls you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat, I need the next part..... Its going to feel a long wait till summer
I felt sick right along with Colin and Anthony through the whole book. My heart ached for Sydney, Colin, Anthony and Gina.
I actually screamed my relief when Anthony killed that s.o.b. But then my heart sank further than it already had been when Matt started delivering the news about Anthony.
A whole book spent worrying about Colin, Anthony and Sydney. :( I didn't think it would be a whole books worth, but it was. Don't get me wrong. I love their story and will be sticking with it till the end. I need to know that they will all be ok again....right? They will? Of course they will. I hope. Fingers crossed. On to book 5 to see how bad Anthony is. :|
Well let me tell you is not for the feint of heart, it will make you fell all the things poor Sydney was feeling, the love and devotion Colin and Anthony have for her and the loss they felt. But it is worth it. Drew has captivated me in all her writing. I am reading the whole series and I’m not stoping until I’m done,
Drew Sera brought the emotions out of everyone, pushed their limits tested the bonds of brothers. I couldn't put this down I felt hurt, and the anger of what had happened to their baby girl sunshine and am totally destroyed that something has happened to Anthony. Drew Sera write with her whole heart you feel everything she writes. Love ❤ this series so far.
I could hardly read this. It was just too much. I skimmed a lot, because I want to finish the series. This is NOT a standalone. If you are faint at heart, then do what I did, skim over the worst to find out what happens. Sorry, the talent of the writer is outstanding, but for me, this was just too much.
This book of the series will definitely pull at your heartstrings and will not let go for the main of the story. Add in a psycho Dom and you will find your self almost frightened to turn the pages with the ongoing saga of Colin, Sydney and Anthony. Absolutely love this series now onto the next one.
Wow - this one slayed me. Just when you think the emotional and physical abuse was finished Drew Sera takes the reader on a wild ride when Paul comes into the picture. Sydney is caught in the cross fire of Paul's hatred and Colin and Anthony are left trying to pick up the pieces. This story had me on emotional overload. I cried for all of them and the actions that Anthony took literally made me stop in my tracks. Pain is a common thread throughout the book - I only hope they can all survive.....
Well this one made me cry. I had a hard time getting my emotions in check with this one. Everything that happened was just so sad and emotional. Can't wait to read the next one.
This book takes you on a haunting emotional ride. It draws you in where you are turning the pages as fast as you can. I'm on to the next book to see if the puzzle pieces can be put back together again.
OMG...this one gutted me. So much love Sydney, Colin and Anthony have for one another and to have someone try to take it away. I was literally in tears throughout this whole book.
