Rate this book
16 y/o Stone Forgehammer is a blacksmith born with the magic of the old ones, he has the ability to enchant objects to do spectacular things. Many in his community only tolerate him because of it, no one else has his abilities and the things he forges have proven beneficial if not mandatory to the continued existence of his people. When food is scarce Stone is sent to a big settlement on the behalf of the elders where the people there are not only old enemies but far from welcoming, whats worse is that there is a war looming that would draw Stone and his people into it whether they want to remain neutral or not.

I know a bunch of you have been asking exactly you the heck I am. First off, my name is Whiskey Flowers, I was active duty army and now I am a proud member of the New Mexico National Guard. In my day job, I am a corrections officer, I watch the best and brightest Albuquerque has to offer and make little money doing it. I am originally from Oakland, California, home of dumbasses and knuckleheads everywhere where I attempted to become their leader until the army put me on a different path. As many of you have pointed out, I never got my high school diploma, I am a GED student but I make it look good. If any of you are ever in New Mexico and want a drinking partner, I got you.

Nice little adventure with a few problems. Definitely needing an editor, a bit short and the MC was a grouchy, prejudiced, rude person. Luckily his personality smoothed out a bit about 30% into the book. The transitioning from one action to another was a bit jerky and the story could use some more world building, character development and some development by the MC. All his knowledge of blacksmithing was already known at 16 years old and the enchanting magic he had wasn't talked about or used very much. That was disappointing. Good overall, especially for the .99 cent price.

Wow how to explain!!!

Again this Author has put out a really good story, but has done such a bad job of telling it all I can think is I've been cheated. This Author not only botched his elementary level English and spelling but mixed up the continuity of the story. Finally to the Author good try but go back to your teachers and slap them for passing an illiterate scam artist.

Good story, but with the same problems.

I agree with most reviewers. Good stories. Poor editing.
This author could do very well if he would fix the problems enumerated by the reviews.

Personally I loved the book

I really liked the book, but I wish there was a book 2 where he worked for the king or something and fought off assasins and I would definitely read it. I have read almost all of the authors books and would read more if they came out I 100% reccomend it

Awesome

Love this story but it's too short - characters are very well written - exciting - kept me glued but I was looking forward to story number 2- hopefully it won't be too long of a wait lol

Too many typos and missing words

Story would have been okay, but the constant typos, missing words, incorrect words, and weird sentences were too much of a distraction. Also, this was more of a short story than a book.

Poor Conclusion

As usually, the story line was good, writing was excellent (exception being grammar and editing) but the conclusion to the story was very, very weak. This is typical of this author but I will continue reading his stories

A slightly different view on human, elf and dwarf relationships

Very light references to some touchy subjects. War is not glorified so much as taken as a normal part of life to be accepted and moved on from.

Short and sweet

This could be a really good story. I wish it was longer and more developed . There were also some editing problems.

It is apparent that Whiskey has never met a story with an ending! It is also apparent that Whiskey’s books are translated from another language, considering the many syntactic errors. Nonetheless, I’ve enjoyed every story by this author that I’ve read, including this one.

Needs an editor

Decent story with lots of typos and bad grammer. It could also use more character development. It has a lot of potential but is more a sketch than a story.

Fun story.

It was a good story but was detracted by poor proofing. Spelling, typos etc. Clean it up please. Thank you

Whiskey rules

This is one of the best whiskey short stories. My largest problem with whiskey is he does not always write a follow-up or continuing story.

A god read

This was a good story. There were a few grammar errors but those did not really detract from the story. My thanks and compliments to the author.

Fun

While I enjoyed it the story seemed rather choppy. Kind of like bubbles of well written stories with badly written links.

Loved the story and the actions.

Main character "stone" tallish half dwarf, a very direct character plods through and over evrything. Sorry but. (The words need editing)

Nice story

Although I I enjoyed the story, I did not enjoy the telling of the tale, probably because of the horrible editing.

A Dwarfish Tank

Stone Forgehammer is a half dwarf sent to a human city to set up a system of trade for food since the dwarves are starving. Along the way he becomes the reluctant protector of an elvin maid. This becomes much more later as they end up helping each other. Stone is honorable, skilled and a great fighter. Eviana is beautiful and can magically grow anything, even the ingredients for Stone's ale. The story has a lot of great action and some humor.

Great story

The reason not 5 is because no real romance seen and it could have been drown out and more details added. Still love the half dwarf and elf mix just more details is all
