To the outside, I grew up in the perfect family and was poised for an even more amazing life. It was all a lie. Between my abusive father, his cult-like church, and one horrible, fateful night, my existence was far from perfect. Then it got worse. I’m on the run with my sweet baby girl at my side. I’d give anything to make her safe, including my blood. If all goes well, I’ll be a Blood Courtesan by nightfall. I’ll sell my only asset to the highest bidder and hope to earn enough to stay one step ahead of my past and keep Daisy safe. I will be a blood whore.
****Enter the world of the Blood Courtesans, where money flows only as freely as the blood. **** Fallen is a stand-alone romance featuring a BBW woman determined to give her daughter the life she deserves and a sexy vampire who wants far more than Paige’s blood.
Other great addition to the Blood Courtesans series. I love how strong Paige was with everything that happened to her she was determine to doing anything in her power even if that meant being a blood courtesans. There she was acquired with Finn sparks flew immediately between them and there chemistry was so strong they connected on a whole another level and I love every bit of it. I can't seem to get enough of Blood Courtesans series so if your looking for a quick enjoyable and entertaining read I would totally one click this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC I haven't been compensated in any way.
Wow! A deliciously ‘wicked-good’ romantic PNR story from the smoking hot world of Blood Courtesans! “Fallen: Paige” is another amazing story by the talented Ever Coming & her 2nd offering in the smoking hot vamp-a-licious series of must-reads! ... Once I started reading this, I was a goner, and read the whole story in one sitting, that's how awesome this is :D ... I loved this fresh, unique story with surprises, great attention to detail and well-defined characters both good & evil. Also the immediate chemistry between H/h, some new and recurring characters from her 1st book, “Needed: Angel” :D Like I loved Arabella and Bob that are so wonderful, relatable & bring the pages to life! ... I highly recommend this to all 18+ Adult fans of fiction, so run don’t walk to get this and all the fantastic books in Michelle Fox’s phenomenal world of the Blood Courtesans!
Paige was on the run from her past and looking to keep her and her daughter safe. Finn could feel something special about Paige but it wasn't until her life was in danger that he understood it. Now he must keep her alive so he can spend eternity with her.
I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book. This is a book from the Blood Courtesans series by various authors.
This is such a great example of what some women have to go through when they are assaulted, being blamed for the brutality inflicted by another.
Paige has been running trying to hide herself, but especially her 3 year old product of the brutality inflicted on her by the little girls father. Even her high and mighty preacher father blames her for the wrong done to her. She can barely make ends meet, but she keeps on trying her best to provide for her baby girl and herself... At the end of her rope she takes the chance that she will be accepted as a Blood Courtesan even though she is a BBW, she is pretty after all. Weary and suspicious of everyone, she finds she must take a chance and soon she realizes that all her father tried to instill in her about vampires has been a lie and that she will find safety in the arms a very unlikely person. She will also wonder through hints that she is far more than she believes herself to be.
As all the others before have been 4 and 5 star reviews this one is no different. Though the story left much for me to crave to know, as I felt much could of been added, I still loved this story. I devoured every word of it that was written. I do not know how it played out the way it did , only that it did and i was happy for it. On to the next....
*I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book*
FALLEN
I absolutely loved everything about this book, it was such sweet and captivating read. From beginning to end, the storyline drew me in and kept me entertained. The characters were amazing, including all the secondary characters. This was just a wonderfully sweet and entertaining read, I loved it.
Liked the book, thankfully the end of it was fantastic. The first half I just couldn't seem to connect with the characters. It wasn't my favorite "Blood Courtesans" book by any means, but it was entertaining. I guess it just needed more character development or something, and definitely some better editing - lots of typos.
Love is weird because most of the time defies logic. It’s beautiful when you find a story like Paige and Finn have. Heartfelt, sweet, sexy and hot can be used for description, but you have to read it. If you have never read the series take a chance and read this one.
Paige is on the run with her daughter daisy from her father and Matt the father of Daisy. Paige has to find a job to support them both when she sees an ad in the paper for a courtesan. When she meets Finn she knows he's the one, but does he? Great read. I couldn't put down my kindle till I was finished.
The story was well written I didn't want tho put it down. She was in a bad situation and had a scrappy life but fate had a plan so glad she got what she needed in Finn and he got what he wanted & needed in her and daisy. Can't wait to real more books in this world
i do love vamp romances but i felt like i needed so more backstory about her story. the ending left me with wanting to know what happened to her dad. the stylist was the highlight and the sweet neighbor - i need to know their stories, too. all in all, a quick read
As you know, my reviews r short & sweet. Loved this. I was waiting for the other 'fangs' to fall pursy. Instead of 'shoes'. But she (the author) fooled me. Great characters. Cant wait to continue to the next book.
This story was incredible, outstanding, exciting and just plain fantastic!!!. It has a very moving and touching storyline with awesome characters!. Ever and Michelle are fantastic authors and fantastic storytellers.
This was a recommended book that was a surprise purchase. It was such an easy read and I loved both Finn and Paige from the very start. I had forgotten how good these Blood Courtesans books are
To quote the authors, "well played". Intriguing, sexy, and well steamy hot at times, I couldn't put this story down. A young girl raped, disgraced, pregnant, hides from her tormentors. Down and desperate she meets a vampire who changes her life and that of her daughters' in ways she would never have dreamt.
This series is a wonderful collaboration between authors. Vampires finding their mate and that mate being a strong women. Each book is fantastic with a different twist. I highly recommended
Paige is on the run and Finn is the vampire to help her. This book is about connections and how life can turn around and become so much better. It is sexy and heartwarming.
If all goes well, I’ll be a Blood Courtesan by nightfall. the blood exchange. It sounded easy enough on paper, but the eww factor was still there. This man was dangerous in the very best of ways. He turned me into a horny little mess and I loved it. "So what do you want to do now? I want to strip you out of your clothes and make you scream my name all night long. Oh. My. God." WHOA BABY! SIGN ME THE FANG UP NOW!! *ahem* ummm... pardon me! I got so caught up and was ready to jump… and then I remembered this IS a story! *sigh* WOW! Talk about dreams coming to ... errr... life?! Undead life!? Whichever, it's true! I love, Love, LOVE EVERYTHING about this book!! I love how it played out. I love how special Daisy is. I love how amazing Paige is. I love how her little girl is everything to her. I love how PERFECT Finn is! I Really, Truly love, Love, LOVE just how ABSO-BLOODY-LUTELY VAMPIRETACULAR this story is! I am wholly, utterly and completely consumed – mind, body, soul, spirit and blood! There are some "differences" with this story that, in my opinion, make it THE Perfect Happily Ever Coming After story that it is, but I can't - don't want to - say what they are and ruin the story for you! I will say that the major one (to me) is how this doesn't follow the traditional "girl meets vamp, girl loves vamp, girl loses vamp, vamp gets girl back, they live HEA". I ABSO-FANGING-LUTELY LOVE THAT!! Of course it is way more than NOT that, but you will get the fang point when you read this for yourself! Trust me! You NEED to read this book!! Ever's magical storytelling transported me right into this story as soon as I started reading it and NEVER let me go! Not even after reading it twice in full, and a few parts a couple more times!! Having it written in first person only added to the connection, further deepening and enriching the whole reading/living experience! And that ending?!? HOLY HOT VAMPIRES! What a WONDERFANGLY, beautiful, heartfelt VAMPELICIOUS ending! It brought tears to my eyes yet again!! I would put that down as me being a "sucker" for tender, touching moments & HEAs, especially when it comes to vampires, but with Ever's phenomenal talent combined with her exceptional gift, I dare anyone to read this story and NOT connect with the characters and the story as a whole and share their emotions!! I have read a few of Ever's books and while I have loved them all, I have to say that this is by far my favorite! I will even go so far as to say that in my opinion, this is her BEST. BOOK. YET!
REVIEWERS NOTE: And my opinion of this FANGASMIC story has ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY NOTHING to do with the fact that Finn is all but the PERSONIFICATION VAMPIREIFICATION of MY Dream Vampire Mate!! It's like Ever dream-shared with me and brought Finn to life for everyone to see! But back off ladies! Finn's mine! Well, okay I guess I have to say that he is really Paige's, but since I lived this story like it was - IS - my own... wink
Paige is on the run from her father and his religious ilk. They basically covered up her sexual assault by a "golden boy" and his attempt to kill her. She and her daughter have nothing but the love of a neighbour and the charity of her boss at the diner where she works to get them through the tough times. But when a final calamity lands at her feet, Paige decides to do the one thing her father has already tarred her as - become a Courtesan!
She loves Arabella, her drag queen stylist and all around miracle worker. When she meets her "date" Finn, she kind of feels that there is more between them than the donor/vampire bond. But after her limited and negative history with men, is she the best person to determine who is the "good guy" any more? She has Daisy/Rose to worry about and is a vampire the best male influence to insert into her daughters life?
Paige is strong, mentally and emotionally even after all she has been through. She has not let it keep her behind walls and she tries her best to giver her daughter a normal life. Finn is gorgeousness personified, and I really want to know more about how he was turned! I did feel there could have been a wee bit more back story given to the characters, but it is a short book so I understand that there was only limited space. It certainly wouldn't put me off reading more!
I voluntarily read and review this ARC I haven't been compensated in any way.
ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book and my opinions are honest!
This was a great read! The book had romance, sexy scenes, a very alpha vampire, etc... There is a little bit of everything to everyone. I would really recommend this book.
This is the story of Paige - to the outside world she has had a charmed life and has a great future ahead of her. However her Dad is head of a religious cult, is abusive and the Golden Boy of that cult, raped her and then tried to kill her. Even worse her Dad insisted it was all her fault. So instead she's on the run with her daughter Daisy trying to stay one step ahead of the cult.
So as the options dry up even with the help of a friendly neighbour and the cook at a diner, she decides her only option is to become a Blood Courtesan - after all her father called her a whore so she may as well live up to the name.
I enjoyed this story. It was nice the way the story was stand alone but did dovetail nicely into some characters from other stories in the collection. It was well written and I could empathise and understand the thoughts and feelings that the characters were having.
This book didn’t really do it for me as many of the other books in the Blood Courtesans series has. Although the relationship that built between Paige and Finn was sweet and at times sexy, it was basically the rest of the book I thought was just okay. Paige is in hiding from an awful past, and although it’s discussed throughout the story, it is only at the end does this issue create a climatic point that is basically addressed within 5 minutes. Also, there were many characters introduced and written in such a way that I feel like I was expected to know more about them, but I didn’t. I guess I was just looking for a little more action and suspense than what is really there. Fallen isn’t a bad read, but not my favorite of all of the B.C. books I’ve read.
Paige is a single mother on the run. She is running from her father. And the father of her child. She grew up with a super religious father. She was assaulted then blamed and shamed for it. After an attempt on her life she made her great escape. She moves from place to place to avoid being caught. But working in a diner isn't paying the bills. Paige decides to apply for work as a blood courtesan. She is very logical about it. She knows the do's and dont's. But what she gets is more than she expected. She is paired with a vampire named Finn. She even makes some news friends. And old enemies resurface.
From the outside it looks like she had it all, but she was keeping a huge secret or two. She was determined to keep her daughter safe, that the the most important thing. So becoming a Blood Courtesan is at least worth looking into when she finds out she is losing her current job. Finn always tried to keep his eating habits separate from any other aspect of his relationships. Then Arabella sends Paige his direction. I loved this book and all the characters in it. Victoria was a whole new person around Paige. Arabella is still her amazing self! I love this series and hope to read more in the new year!!
This story is captivating and intense. The drama of the life that Paige is living to escape her past makes you feel tired for her. The emotions that she lives through, and the reader too by association, make you want to see good things happen for her. When her fortunes start to change, she is still surrounded by people who are looking out for her. The story is well told, but there were a few editing gaffes that made me re-read some lines, but they weren't so bad that they detracted from this hopeful story. I totally enjoyed reading this one and encourage you to add this book to your TBR list for this week.
Can't believe how addicted I am in these Blood Courtesan Romance books. Of course some are better than others but this one is among the top ones. When you need tissues to make it thru a book you know that the book has gotten you emotionally invested in the book and that is what is suppose to happen.
Paige brings you along in her story and you feel everything she is feeling and you hope along with her that she can find the one who will protect her from all the evils in her life. You will not be disappointed to join Paige and Daisy on their journey to find happiness, but will they find it you must read to discover it.
