Outdated yet positive messaging

More than a little outdated advice, this reads much like a 50's health and grooming brochure recently seen at a thrift store. I gave an extra star because of all the self love comments following exhortations to buy more luxury items (for oneself). Because you're worth it!

Pretty good.

A lot of this information, I already knew but it was well put and organized. I enjoyed reading this book. Right now I’m in bed with an broken vertebrae and looking forward to implementing some of these ideas.

Very useful tips

I love books on fashion and how to dress. This is a lovely little book with sound advice. The steps are easy to follow and it allows for self expression.

"I would highly recommend that you shop alone. Going out with a girlfriend is often a bad idea as envy (even when it is latent) can be a real problem. Despite her best intentions, she might distract you from buying a perfect outfit if she can’t afford it herself."

Sacré bleu! That's not something "a truly elegant French woman" would say, don't you think? What sort of friends do you even have, sister?

All in all too basic and repetitive. Offers some useful tips but nothing you can't already find online for free.

I might as well read the remaining books to see if there are more gems like the one above and they're pretty short anyway.
